Minali Otoyome	"Later, Haseo," Minali said a quick goodbye to the blacksmith before grabbing Akhet's hand and gently tugging him in the direction she wanted to go. The blacksmith gave an answering wave before returning to his work. Clink, clink, clink! Went the noise, once again. Once again, she bounced as she walked, clearly very happy with having placed the order for her machine parts. "D'ya wanna see th'stables?" She asked, glancing at Akhet over her shoulder, "Or th'pet store?" Despite being more mechanically-minded, Minali loved animals, as well.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	Akhet's head nodded slowly with the rhythm of the metal pounding, letting Minali excitedly lead him by the hand. He found her excitement to be adorable, as well as her leading him so eagerly. "Sure." he smiled at her, knowing that her enthusiasm was best not crushed. "there are surely more to see here than just polar-bear-dogs, penguins, and baby seals." he chuckled, remembering some of the animals from back home.

Minali Otoyome	Minali gasped, then gave a squeal of delight, "You've seen all'a those?! Ah'd love t'see 'em!" She was gushing over these animals that she imagined to be absolutely adorable - she'd read mentions of them in books, before, but none of them had been accompanied by pictures. Apparently they'd never had any, here in Fire Fountain City; at least that Minali had ever seen. The pet store was a large place, to accommodate all of the animals. There were rows of cages with reptiles (which Minali avoided like the plague), cages with insects (which she also avoided like crazy), and then larger enclosures of furry critters. The furry ones were clearly what Minali liked; approaching the fire ferrets, she cooed and wiggled her fingers at a few babies, which tried to jump at them through the glass.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	It was not to say that Akhet hated animals, because that was far from the truth. He just didn't have the same enthusiasm for them that Minali did. However, he did enjoy her amusement, and so he was certainly not bored. a couple times, he would pat her back and chuckle "having fun, are we?" but would not say anything else, as he was simply playfully teasing, and was in no way insinuating that they needed to move on yet. He was enjoying her excitedness. he wanted to squeeze her again, and planned on doing so the moment they got home.

Minali Otoyome	"Aw, hush," Minali admonished, looking over her shoulder at him with a pout, "If y'wanna go, we can." Pushing up from her kneel, to stand, she joins him, with one last wave at the fire ferret babies. "Where would y'like to go?" She asks, now smiling at him, taking his arm as if he was the escort. Then, humming, she considers the options. "There's still th'general market, an' th'tailor, an'... we still gotta buy yer mattress." Any of these options would be fine, with her; depending on what Akhet wanted to do.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	Akhet chuckled. "we'll come back. I promise." they had spent several minutes here anyways, so it wasn't like they popped in and popped back out again. as she listed the options as to where to go next, Akhet thought about it for a moment. "That order sounds good to me." he grinned, "unless one of them is closer than the other, in the which case, whichever one's closest first, then the other, and the mattress will be last." he concluded, walking out of the store with her, rubbing her back with his free hand.

Minali Otoyome	Minali smiled, at Akhet's practicality. "A'right," She agreed easily, adjusting her course accordingly, "S'hit th'general goods, first." His back rubbing had her humming as they walked, trying to replicate the melody of the lullaby he'd sung for her, the night before. This building was quite different from the first two: it was small and tightly packed, with a rather large display for cabbages... "Y'gotta ignore those," Minali whispered to him, pulling him past the vegetables. The rest of the store was full of food and other standard household supplies, each one carefully packed onto a shelf until it threatened to burst.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	"Sounds good to me." he concurred, letting her lead him to the location in question, still softly rubbing her back, appreciating the soft fabric of her pretty sundress. he hummed along with her, helping guide her to the melody of the song with his own voice, still watching the world around them as well. he liked this building for some reason, but stayed mostly quiet. he chuckled when Minali warned him to avoid the cabbages. "Don't worry... I'm more of a meat-eater myself." he reminded her, "although it's hard to go wrong with breakfast any time of the day." This was a shout-out to her, but it was also true. breakfast was good any time of the day, and so why would he even want to complain?

Minali Otoyome	At his words, Minali directed him toward the back of the store, where several ice chests were lined up against the wall. "Th'meat's all in here," She gestured to the first two, "Th'others are juice and such; th'non-meat that needs t'stay cold." She lead Akhet around the store, explaining things in a very similar fashion. It wasn't a place that could be avoided, of course, but it also couldn't fill her with the same joy and wonder as other things had... It was just the general store.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	Akhet mostly went for the meat, grinning after Minali had pointed it out to him. he also grabbed a few spices that he wanted to try, since the Water Tribes did not have too many of those. he was not a professional cook or anything, but he was pretty dang good at cooking meats and fish. once he had what he needed to and had paid for it, he turned to her. "I'm done here." he explained, "and ready to go when you are."

Minali Otoyome	Taking his hand once again, Minali began to lead him off in a different direction, still bouncing happily as they walked. "To th'tailor's, then~!" She declared in a sing-song voice, reaching up to brush her wayward curls back into place. Because she had Akhet with her, she wasn't apprehensive on her way to the next shop - the fact that she was wearing a dress rather than her work clothes might have helped, though, since they would keep her from being ridiculed too badly by the shop owner. Truth be told, however, being with Akhet made her feel more at ease, anyway. The tailor's shop was denoted by a sign shaped like a spool of thread. Opening the door, which jingled as it was pulled, Minali stepped inside, hopefully followed by Akhet. The display area of the store was rounded, with racks organized by size. Toward the back, near the cashier's desk, there was a measuring station, and a fitting station. A severe older woman had just emerged from the back room, as they glanced around.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	"Alrighty then." he grinned confidently. He was not sure what they needed here, since most of the contents of the bags not dedicated to healing supplies and such, were just changes of clothes and a couple other books and papers. Either way, he followed, because if nothing else it would be sight-seeing, which was very pleasant while in the company of a bubbly, happy friend. He followed her inside of course, although at this point felt the need to pop his question. "We looking for a certain something?" he asked softly, "or just browsing for fun?" He knew that if she wanted him to get something (within reason), that he would be nearly helpless to resist, because he loved seeing her bubbly and lively expressions and emotions too much to be able to say no. Damn, he was a sucker. he smiled at her casually, waiting for her answer.

Minali Otoyome	"Browsin'~" Came her answer as she walked over to the rack which carried her size, starting to glance at the clothes available. Once the shop's owner had emerged from the back, Minali took a step closer to Akhet, as if for security. The older woman stayed put, but her eyes were definitely on the pair of them. After a brief, careless look, she looked up at Akhet and announced, "Ah can't find anythin'... Shall we go get yer mattress?" It seemed she really wanted to escape that watchful gaze; it might make one wonder what had happened, before.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	"A'ight." he nodded at her, following her around for the most part, just to make sure that he didn't lose sight of her or anything. He stayed particularly close after she got apprehensive at the sight of the owner. "I'm game." he nodded at her remark, "although... if you don't mind me asking... is there a reason why she's eyeing us so closely?" he raised an eyebrow, nodding briefly towards the older, stern-looking woman. The two young adults had already shared many secrets. Akhet didn't feel like there would be any barriers this time.

Minali Otoyome	Glancing over at the elderly woman, but then quickly away, Minali answers him in a quiet voice, close to a whisper. "M'dad accidentally messed up th'firebendin' machine, before... burned 'er store to th'ground. He paid fer it, a'course, but she don't approve of me, fer followin' in 'is footsteps..." It was not uncommon, of course, for the child to publicly bear the sins of their parents; however little at fault they were, themselves.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	Akhet nodded understandingly. "Ah... well... unless she throws us out... we should be fine, I think." he said quietly. "I'm ready to go if you are though." he patted her back. "we can get you something ridiculously lacy and pink later." he was totally joking with this of course, unless she actually wanted to. "Lead on." he smiled, in reference to her taking him to the mattress store. He was already rummaging through his coin purse, as he was considering that he would be paying for it of course, although Minali had proved him wrong before.

Minali Otoyome	Under the tailor's watchful eye, Minali lead Akhet out of the store, much happier once they were outside. "Alright..." She murmured to herself, trying to remember which way to go, after all their turns and spins around, "S'this way!" Pointing, she started off down the street, walking backward, so that she could look at him. "Ah saw y'had yer money out; did'ya wanna buy somethin', back there..? M'sorry if Ah pulled ya out, so quick."

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	Akhet gave her a nice pat on the back once they were outside. "Right behind you!" he beamed, following her with enthusiasm, although his eyes were totally locked onto those bouncing curls, and, since she was facing him, her pretty little freckled face. "Nah..." he responded to her question, "it was just me evaluating my funds so I can see how much I want to spend on a mattress." he replied in honestly. "although we can certainly come back another time just like the pet store." he reminded her, "and maybe I'll get myself something when I get you that pink frilly dress I was joking about." he winked. it hadn't been a particular dress... he was just making stuff up on the spot because teasing is what he does.

Minali Otoyome	Laughing cheerfully, Minali spun around to watch where she was going. "Oh? Issat what y'meant?" She teased him, clasping her hands at the small of her back, "Ah ain't owned a pink dress since Ah was six... Blue became m'favorite color, an' it was all Ah'd wear." At this meandering pace, they'd still reach the shop very quickly. It sold all manner of furniture, as well as mattresses, pillows and blankets - to name a few extras. Minali strode right into the store, looking around purposefully. Though she hadn't told him yet, she would be paying for a mattress. It would be staying at her home, she reasoned, so she should be the one to buy it, for him to use.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	Akhet chuckled again, something he found himself doing a lot while with this lovely young lady. "well... and now you wear yellow sundresses, red and blue pajamas, and brown and white work-clothes... all of which look very lovely on you." He refrained from mentioning "and pink underwear" because he promised her he would not talk about that unless they were alone. Upon reaching the shop, Akhet began browsing, picking out smaller things like pillows and blankets first, also mentally noting the mattress he wanted by the time he was done browsing, so he could get it last.

Minali Otoyome	Little did Akhet know, his sweet little hostess had already arranged payment with the furniture vendor; he would not be charged a cent for anything he chose. Instead, a promise of an exchange had been made; the bed and accessories in exchange for a mechanical guard system for the shop. Minali browsed a bit longer; both waiting for her friend to be finished, as well as looking around the shop to plan a defense system. She had already decided that it would use string, like a tripwire, and that a loud alarm would be triggered when it was set off. With all of these thoughts now firmly in her mind, she smiled brightly and went to see if she could locate Akhet.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	Being a guy, Akhet's browsing only took a few minutes ultimately, with his decisions clearly made. noting his purchase, he went to go check out, already rummaging through his wallet to prepare to pay for such things. Upon seeing sweet Minali, he grinned widely at her, as she seemed to have that effect on him in such a lovely little way.

Minali Otoyome	Waving back at him, Minali bounced her way over, moving to stand beside him. However, she addressed the owner of the store, before saying anything to Akhet. "Ah think Ah got it all figured out, mister Motono," She informed him with a smile, "Should have somethin' for ya soon." With a happy nod and a profusely happy thank you, the owner waved them both off, telling them to enjoy their day, adding in a 'crazy kids', for good measure. Glancing over at Akhet, Minali tried to see his reaction, to all of this.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	...Oh no she just didn't! his jaw hanging slightly, he collected himself quickly, stashing his money away again, hefting what he had purchased, he glared playfully at Minali. "You haven't heard the end of this." he laughed, although he was admittedly very grateful and hoped he had made it clear. "I owe you big now when we get home." That was a deal he planned to keep, even if it was as simple as giving her another massage or teaching her more about healing. "so... homeward bound?"

Minali Otoyome	"Homeward bound," She agreed with a cheeky smile, knowing that she'd been a brat and had won, in the end. Moving to grab all of the smaller things, Minali would help by carrying them, while Akhet took the mattress. "Ah figured we could set ya up next to th'kitchen..." Her brows knit together, "But if there ain't enough room, we'll put ya in m'bedroom, Ah guess." There really was nowhere else, except the workroom, but that might be hazardous to his health, so Minali was not going to risk it.
