Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	Akhet's arm wrapped around her again, letting his fingers caress her scalp and play with her curls. As he so often did, he listened to her ramble, because it was cute and because she was absolutely correct. It was almost cruel to admit that he was glad that she had been blown through the wall of her shop, but that was how and why they met. If it hadn't happened... things would be much different now. Of course, he'd never say it like that... but yeah. that was how he felt about the whole situation. "Neither would I, angel..." he said with a soft, relaxing sigh as his eyes closed. "Neither would I." his ears perked at her question. Otherwise, he was fine with falling asleep in their breezy summer clothes now that their sandals were off. "Sure." he nodded slowly. it was a soft answer, but that was only because he was tired too. He was aware of the question asked and so his answer was sincere. "I'm curious to meet him too. If you're up for it, then so am I..." he snuggled closer to her, his eyes still closed. He was totally ready to fall asleep like this, although he was staying a little alert in case his sweetheart had any more questions.

Minali Otoyome	"Ah'd send 'im a note," Minali murmured, well on her own way to falling asleep, "But Ah doubt 'e'd remember it, when we got there..." She dozed, then, in Akhet's arms, though she'd wake up if he said anything. If not, however, she'd soon be fast asleep, breathing softly and deeply. Her father wasn't heartless, really; he was just not all there. He hadn't been, since Minali's mother had passed away, and so, to put it lightly, he was very scatter-brained.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	Akhet nodded, to understand. "I'm sure we'll be fine." He was fine with them falling asleep in their clothes; both of them were barefoot anyways, and while he couldn't say for sure about Minali's sundress, Akhet's clothes were comfy, and based on the look on his sweetheart's face, it seemed that her dress was too. He fell asleep shortly after her, arms wrapped around her and his own face nuzzled against hers. * * * * * * * * * * This was the position they would wake up in, more or less. Minali would wake up a few minutes before Akhet as she usually did, but since his arms were around her, if she stirred, Akhet would wake up as well. Normally he was very averse to being woken up before he woke up naturally, but when he woke up to his beautiful sweetheart and her sweet-smelling curls... he was certainly not going to complain. "mornin', love..." he said softly. It wasn't to say that her accent had rubbed off on him, but some of her word choices had.

Minali Otoyome	With a soft, half-yawn half-purr, Minali moved to look up at Akhet with a smile. "Mornin' love," She echoed, as that was her traditional morning greeting. Shaking her head, curls fluffing, she made to move back once again, now that her fiance was more awake. "Ah'm gonna make some breakfast, before we gotta do stuff... an' 'en we can go shoppin', if y'want?" Mina wasn't sure exactly what he wanted to get for the curry, but she was sure that she wanted to accompany him to the store.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	Akhet's hands softly wrapped around Minali, giving her back a gentle caress before also squeezing her butt. "good morning to you indeed." he replied, "I can help with breakfast if you want... as for things to get... we also need to get ourselves bathing suits, if you recall." he winked playfully, as a reminder of the conversation the night before, but was also fine if she thought that it could wait. "or at the very least... we gotta meet your dad today, right?" He said it like it was a privilege (which he saw it as) instead of something he was being forced to do. He just wanted to make sure he had not forgotten. Even if the man was scatter-brained or not all there, he was still curious to see one of the people responsible for birthing this beautiful woman in front of him. "let's get out of bed first though, aye?" he chuckled, hugging her, rolling until he was at the end of the bed, where he sat up with her, before placing her on her bare feet and then standing up right afterwards, grinning.

Minali Otoyome	"Yer right," Mina nodded, coming awake instantly, once he set her down on her feet, "S'th'day we meet m'dad... Ah hope 'e's not gonna be too busy, 'r anythin'." Not that she anticipated it, but it would be nice if her father would be lucid enough to meet her fiance, this once. Running her fingers through her curls, shaking them out just afterward, Mina strode over to her dresser, going through her clothes. She selected a looser shirt, like what Akhet liked, and a pair of her pants, rather than shorts. Holding them in the crook of her arm, she smiled and offered him a wave, heading into the washroom, "Ah'll be quick, an' then it'll be yer turn, m'kay?"

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	Akhet smiled. "I hope not as well." he kinda hoped to at least maybe say two words to him, but first he'd have to see just how "out of it" he was, according to Minali. Either way, if nothing else, he'd be with her, which was good enough for him. smiling as she grabbed her clothes, he nodded. "sounds good to me. I'll be waiting." he stole a kiss from her and then gathered his own clothes. Once she finished, he'd be waiting at the door (since he knew that she had brought her clothes in with her this time), and he'd onl;y be a few minutes himself. he was jsut wearing the same kind of baggy shirt and pants he usually did, and as usual, he cleared the water from the washroom once he was done. He didn't see it as an extra chore--just practical, since he could sweep up the water with one or two graceful strokes. after he was out and dressed, his hair slightly damp, he grinned at Minali (assuming she hadn't left the room). "ready to start the day?"

Minali Otoyome	"Yeah, m'ready," Mina responded with a smile, having already been fully dressed, but now with her shoes on, rather than her boots. "D'ya need t'do anythin', before we go an' see m'dad?" She asked, tilting her head to the side. Whatever he had to do, they would see to first, she figured, on their way through town. While she wasn't dreading seeing her father, she knew that it might come to nothing, after all. Minali's father had never really been all there (or even partially there) as she was growing up.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	Akhet slipped on some flip-flop sandals of his own but was otherwise ready. "hmm... nothing comes to mind other than maybe a kiss." he kissed her cheek playfully. "and a grope." he squeezed her butt, grinning. "I'm ready now. let's go see your dad." he kept a positive attitude, although he was not entirely sure what would become of this. He was slightly nervous that he might not approve of Akhet, but more just wondering how Minali would handle it all. Still... it wasn't like Akhet expected to be killed or anything because of this, so he'd be right behind her as they travelled, since he obviously did not know the way.

Minali Otoyome	Taking Akhet's hand, Mina lead him through the streets, chattering happily as they went, pointing out shops that he might not have seen yet. They were headed toward the more polluted side of town, he might notice, where there were fewer and fewer people out and about. Reaching up to cover her mouth, Mina smiled apologetically at Akhet, walking up the front steps of a small apartment. Rather than knocking on the door and waiting, she gave a few quick raps with her knuckles and then pulled a key out of her pocket. Opening and pushing the door open, she ushers Akhet inside, out of the smog. Once indoors, she shuts and locks the door behind them, finally allowing her hand to leave her mouth, taking a deep breath. Indoors, the air was cleaner, thanks to a filter running in a corner nearby. "M'dad made those," Mina points it out proudly, "When 'e first moved 'ere, with m'mum. It was 'is first invention 'at anyone bought up."

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	Akhet was a bit surprised at the pollution, but covered his mouth with his shirt as well. they didn't have that issue quite so much in the south. She followed Minali of course, although also wondering why people would live in so much smog. But, it wasn't his business really. Following Minali inside, he was surprised at how suddenly cleaner the air was, and so he lowered his shirt as well. it was baggy enough that it didn't look terribly strange anyways. Minali pointed the source of the clean air out to Akhet, and he glanced at them admiringly. "he did a good job then." he smiled. "they seem to work rather well." He didn't feel a need to ask where her father was, for he'd either be here or wouldn't be. Minali would obviously know where to find him much more than Akhet could ever.

Minali Otoyome	Smiling at her fiance, Mina moved back into the house, calling out, "Dad..? Y'there? S'me, Minali!" The house was fairly silent, save for the soft hum and whir of machines that lined the walls. There was another air filter farther in, but there were clocks and what seemed to be hanging aquatic gardens, and tinkered bits all around. This man was very clearly the one from whom Mina inherited her gift. In the back room, a lanky man was hunched over a table. He wore a heavy leather apron and goggles, and in his hands were tools. It was likely Mina's father, and he was fiddling with something.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	Akhet suddenly looked like a curious child in a new toyshop (he had seen several in fact, that stared in awe and wonder at Minali's creations), or a new friend from back home who viewed Akhet's room, which was decorated with various elaborate sketches, both realistic and abstract. He was impressed with the machinery. He tried to remember a few of the things he saw as if to ask Minali about them later, but he'd probably forget them all by that point. Oh well... he'd compensate by asking Minali more about some of the numerous doodads in her workshop (which had gained a new box or two since Akhet's arrival, said box(es?) being full of Akhet's old papers and sketchbooks). For now though? it was time to meet his future father-in-law. Akhet watched the main quietly, almost afraid to say anything lest he accidentally interrupt him during a very precise tinkering moment or something. He had learned quickly to stay quiet when Minali worked on such things, also holding a silent respect for it. Instead, he cast a curious glance at Minali as if asking her if she was going to say something or if he should speak up or something.

Minali Otoyome	Offering an apologetic smile to Akhet, Mina moved closer to her father, placing a gentle hand on his shoulder, to announce her presence. "Dad?" She asked in a slow, loud voice, over the machinery, "S'me, Minali... Ah came t'visit. Can ya spare a few minutes?" It seems that Mina has had to do this fairly frequently. Turning to look over his shoulder, Minali's father blinked through his thick spectacle-goggles, glancing between his daughter and the young man with her. There was no spark of recognition in his eyes, but he did stop, for a moment, keeping the tools in his hands. "Dad," Mina continued, in the same slow, careful voice, "This's Akhet. Ah wanted t'introduce ya."

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	Akhet's face straightened a bit, hearing the tone in Minali's voice. He sort of wanted to smack this man across the face for paying so little attention to his own daughter,. Then again, it reminded him of his own father, but at least Minali had had the "luxury"(?) of knowing hers. But then again, he knew his mother well, and they still had a very good relationship, so it was back to feeling a bit sorry for Minali. Akhet flicked his hand as if to wave. "uhh... hey." he wasn't sure if he should continue, but he'd give his name again and mention that he was Minali's fiancee, if ti came up. At the moment, he was not entirely sure what to make of the whole situation, or this odd man in front of him, and so he kind of just stood there awkwardly.

Minali Otoyome	The man only nodded once, the vacant look still across his face. His gaze did flick over to Minali, however, as if curious to how Akhet and the introduction of him affected his world. Really, that Minali still called him her dad, rather than her father, should say a few things about her, rather than the man. "Dad, Akhet an' Ah're gettin' married," She explained, when she saw her father's look, "Ah wanted t'introduce ya, before that, so you'd know yer son-in-law." The man gave another single nod, looking back to Akhet. "Okay," was his only response, before turning back to his work bench. The emotional detachment was very obvious, over the unintentional rudeness - for it was unintentional. Mina offered another awkward, apologetic smile before reaching out to take Akhet's hand, as if to steer him out of the house.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	Akhet only added a few words of his own, giving the date, still not entirely sure what to make of any of this. The detachment from his own daughter broke Akhet's heart, as he could never imagine closing himself off from a daughter like her. Ultimately, however, he was glad that he had come with her for this, despite it yielding no real results. Otherwise, Akhet followed Minali out of the house, staying silent till either she spoke or they were out of the house (or out of hearing range) "well... that was, err... interesting?" he didn't know what to say. he was definitely not mad at Minali at all for it, but there was half of him that wanted to strangle this man for neglecting such a wonderful daughter, and another half that understood that complications of various kinds would come up, and that neglect didn't always mean hate. the few memories Akhet had of his elusive father were actually fond ones, which was why he understood Zurok's fondness to a reasonable extent. He just didn't know what else to say. he turned to Minali to see how she would respond, more than ready to comfort her if necessary, or to apologize if his remarks had come off the wrong way.

Minali Otoyome	"It ain't 'is fault..." Mina began to speak, stopping at the front door, before actually leaving the house, "After m'mother died, 'e became more an' more like that. Used'ta just go off to 'is workshop an' lock th'door. Ah wouldn't see 'im fer a few days." Reaching up to run a hand through her curls, she took a deep breath, and then let it out in a mighty sigh. She seemed to have, mostly, come to terms with it, years ago; which she had. Forced to raise herself and build her shop up from nothing, Mina had, in a way, begun to emotionally detach from the world, herself. Akhet had stopped that process in its tracks, reversing it as no one else had done, or even could have done. As if realizing that, Mina looked up at him and smiled softly.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	Akhet did not have a response, but this did clear things up for him a bit. "I can't say I like that he left you to fend for yourself like that..." he shook his head honestly, "but I can sort of understand where he came from. Besides... I'm here to make sure you never have to be alone again." he gently stroked her jaw with two of his fingers, smiling gently and gazing at her pretty face. he was close enough that he could see her cute freckles as well, which he always admired. Besides, if nothing else, it enabled him to be really close to her and to see how beautiful he is. He always liked that. He had been something of an unsavory figure, much like his sister was now. Shady, dealing in things that he probably should not have dealt in, and dabbling in dangerous arts. It was funny how things could turn around for even someone like him.

Minali Otoyome	Reaching up to cup her hand around the back of his own, Mina pressed Akhet's palm against her cheek, gently closing her eyes, focusing on the feel of his hand. "Ah know y'wouldn't ever leave me," She smiled opening her eyes once again, to look up at him, "Ah love ya, Akhet... M'glad y'came with me, this time, t'see 'im, fer what it's worth, y'know?" It meant a lot to her that someone would be willing to help her through the emotional hard times, as well as difficult situations. She had fallen in love with that person, which just made it all the sweeter for her.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	Akhet gently let his thumb caress her cheek, simply caressing her there in the moment. he did sort of begin to gently nudge the other side of her face to try and get her to tilt her head to one side, but not drastically enough to look weird. "I'd fight the world to defend you." he whispered softly. "I love you too... and I'm glad to be able to be with you." he kissed her lips softly as if to reinforce both his affection and his acknowledgement of what she had said, and then the reason for him exposing her neck and jawline was revealed, as he began playfully but gently kissing up along her right jawline, while his hand caressed her left. his free arm wrapped around her gently, holding her close--never wanting to lose her.

Minali Otoyome	Without a care that her father was in the other room - even if he did pull away from his workbench to walk in on them, he likely wouldn't acknowledge what was happening - Mina returned the soft, affectionate kiss, and then giggled softly, as Akhet began to brush kisses along her neck. Her arms encircled him, completing the embrace, and her fingers brushed through his shirt at the hidden tattoos. "Ah love ya so much, Akhet..." Came her answering whisper, "Even if s'all Ah can do, fer th'rest've our days, Ah just wanna make ya happy. S'th'most important thing, in th'whole world, t'me."

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	Akhet had no control over his emotions when Minali would giggle or smile. For him, it was basically a cure-all, and he felt his lips being forced upwards into a big, broad smile. He wasn't complaining at all though. He had no reason to. "I love you too," he whispered gently, pausing his kissing so he could speak. his hands glided down her neck and shoulders (and one hand stole a quick and tiny squeeze of her breast) before wrapping around and rubbing her back. "well," he added, "as long as you remember that your wants and your happiness are just as important as mine... I don't think I'll see any problem with that mindset, love.... especially because making and keeping you happy is my goal in life too." cheesy, sure. sincere? absolutely.

"With th'two've us each makin' one another happy... ain't ever gonna be a reason t'be sad." Then, as if remembering where they were, Mina blushed slightly, looking over her shoulder. "Should probably go ahead an' see ourselves out," She offered, reaching up to brush her curls back, "Y'ready t'head home...?" If there was anything that they were supposed to do after this, she had forgotten.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	"yup." he nodded, "and if we're ever sad for whatever reason... well, that's what we have each other for." he squeezed her again, because he liked the message it gave off, and Minali was warm and fun to squeeze. it was then that Minali reminded him that they were still in her father's apartment. "oh! right." he laughed, "aye... let's get home then if you don't have anything else you want me to do with ya?" 'with you' referring to things they could do together. Well... he'd be doing things with her once they got home. squeezing and cuddling her were a few that came to mind. Similarly... if they had had other plans, Akhet had forgotten them, so it would all even out in the end.
