Minali Otoyome	Setting her juice cup down, Minali, in turn, plopped down next to Akhet on the couch, moving close to his side; practically snuggling in. As he began the lesson, she listened intently, asking questions when pertinent. The pages jumped around and her thoughts followed, wrapping themselves around these new concepts. He was a good teacher, explaining anything that wasn't written in the pages and making sure that she understood everything he covered. Soon, Minali leaned over, resting her head on his shoulder, still peering down at the pages between them.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	Akhet did not mind her snuggling in--in fact, that had been what he had hoped would happen, and so once his juice was gone, he put an arm around her, softly rubbing her neck, and using his free hand to handle the book in their laps. His voice as quiet and gentle like it normally was, as there was no reason to raise it with her right next to him. his one hand continued to rub her neck and let her bouncy curls tickle it. Since it was a lesson, he wanted to make sure Minali knew everything she would need to, and while he knew that he could not cover everything he knew in a day, he was quite fine with spending a good amount of time doing this with her--especially once she leaned against his shoulder. His shirt was fairly low-cut (partially because of its size), and so she would almost feel his skin there. her hair did tickle his cheek, much to his pleasure, as he continued reading and teaching.

Minali Otoyome	Because she was concentrating - even if it was supposed to be on the book - Minali was acutely aware of everything Akhet did. His hands moving along her neck and hair felt very good, and would have normally had her nodding off, but now it was a pleasant addition to the studying. Minali also noticed the exposed skin of his hips and sides, but was trying very hard, not to blush. They had been going at it for several hours now, she thought, and wondered if he was getting tired. "Would'ya like t'take a break?" She ventured, during a quiet moment, "M'comfortable - an' enjoyin' it - an' everything... but Ah thought maybe, since yer doin' most of th'talkin', y'might wanna rest?"

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	He was also watching her closely to make sure she stayed awake, as she hd a tendency not to when he started gently touching her skin the way he so often did. However, it just made her happier, since she seemed to be fully concentrating. he also noticed her blush, but his smile was only slight from that. When he was in a 'neutral' mood, he had a light smile on his face, and his voice, as gentle as it was, had no hidden undertones. One thing the Tallarico Clan could be admired for was their dilligence, and Akhet was no exception. Similar to when he was building the wall, he was fine with the hours they had spent doing this. it was only after she spoke up that he looked up. "If you're up for it, so am I. After all, as much as I too love knowledge, there's such thing as too much of a good thing all at once. Aye... let's take a little break. I can get a drink of water, and we can decide where to go from there." Flipping to the back of the book, he took a slip of paper from it, which appeared to be a bookmark, and stuck it in their page before he closed it, gently standing up as she (presumably) eased up and stood up as well. once on his feet, he stretched again, his baggy shirt falling back down to his mid-thighs where it usually did, although revealing a handsome amount of neck and shoulder form the large neckline.

Minali Otoyome	Standing and stretching as well, Minali gave a soft sigh. Glancing over at him, she noticed his shirt dipping down to show off a good amount of new skin, and promptly blushed, turning away quickly to get him a glass of water. She'd seen boys before, of course, and even young men - like when the blacksmith worked without a shirt on, in the summer - but this was different! Returning with the full glass, she passed it to him with a smile, keeping her eyes locked on his face, "Here ya go." Minali did like that she could help him out, however slightly, in return.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	As he stretched, he glanced her way, admiring those lovely curls, as well as her beautiful curves that he was was becoming more and more familiar with, having seen her undressed a couple of times already. Of course, he was being honest when he said that she looked great with clothes on, because she did. To him, she was basically adorable any way she looked, provided those curls and that face were still visible. "Thanks," he responded to the glass of water, draining it gratefully and ending with a light "aah." glancing back at her, he grinned again. "so... anything in particular you wanted to do while we rest up?" He asked, not really having anything in particular in mind. if she was fine with just kicking back and relaxing for a few minutes, he was totally game.

Minali Otoyome	"Um..." Minali begins, before trailing off, trying to think quickly, "Ah don't think so - not really. We could head out, fer a li'l bit, or we could just hang 'round here?" Both offers were things she was fine with doing, depending on how long a break Akhet would like to take. Then, she was reminded of a thought; "Oh, Ah gotta run down t'th'town hall, later," She told him, though it was with a smile, "Ah gotta tell 'em that th'hole in th'wall is fixed, so Ah won't get in trouble." She was very thankful for that last part.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	Akhet listened to her options, and then also took into account that they needed to run to the town hall. It was a fair point, because he didn't want to see her get in trouble for it either.--especially since they had done such a great job repairing the wall. "well... if we gotta go into town anyways, why not take a little stroll? we don't need to go sightseeing or anything like that... just a little walk to get us some fresh air between here and town hall, perhaps. a walk there, a walk back, and then we can continue or whatnot." Yes, he fully intended to go with her unless she was absolutely vehement against it or something. He was just going to go dressed as he was, including being barefoot and all. He might just come off as some crazy Water Tribe hippie or something, but he didn't care about his appearance--as long as Minali liked the way he looked, then so did he.

Minali Otoyome	When Akhet said 'we', Minali's smile brightened considerably. "Ah think that'd be perfect," She agrees, reaching out to give his hand a small, appreciative squeeze before pulling back, to head for the door. Beside it, she had a couple pairs of shoes: her boots, a pair of sandals, and some steel-toed work shoes. Because of her dress, she slipped her feet into the sandals. "Ready?" She turned to ask, her expression looking as happy as she felt.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	Akhet did watch her slip her sandals on, as if to be playfully defiant of her slightly quirky desire for him to not see her undressing (despite letting him see her once undressed), but he did not comment on it. Smiling up at her, he simply popped his knuckled and nodded. "I'm ready." He would follow her of course, since while he might have passed the town hall on his way through the city, he did not remember where it was, being rather new to the city and everything.

Minali Otoyome	Heading out the door, Minali would wait for him and then lock up, making sure the door was secure. Then, with a happy smile, she actually reached over to take his hand before leading him closer to the north end of town. Minali had always been told to take the hand of whomever she was walking with... though she had been a small child, at the time; the lesson still stuck. Their destination was a large, ornate building with Fire Nation banners hanging down at each side of the massive doors. Her steps slowed as they neared, looking up at the tall structure. "S'one've th'biggest buildings in town," She tells Akhet, just to give him some background, "Th'only one even close is th'foundery, on th'west side of th'city... No one likes goin' there, because've th'smoke."

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	Akhet had not heard of this custom before, but he was quite fine with it. He liked her hands. they were soft and had a nimble feel to them, which he was sure was genuine, as how else could she have tinkered and built such elaborate machines? He recognized the building, as he had wondered what the huge structure had been without really paying much attention to it until now. "Makes sense," he nodded, following her up the stairs into the building, "hopefully we'll get this all taken care of. we'll be able to walk home that much happier." he smiled at her, having enjoyed teh walk to the place as well.

Minali Otoyome	With a bright smile and a nod, Minali reached for the door, grabbing onto the handle with a turn and a yank. It took some effort for her to drag the large, heavy door open, but she holds onto it as she slips inside, allowing Akhet to do the same. "Ah'm not sure where t'go," She admits, looking around the cool, dark interior. It was a very large, open building; along the sides were small windows or desks for different clerks, each one working on a mount of paperwork. As there was no clear sign of where to go, Minali just stood there, unsure.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	as she opened the door, he grabbed it as well to hold it for her so she could go in first, and he promptly followed her inside. looking around curiously, he observed the place, looking for any signs of where they might need to go. "hmm... maybe there's something on the ticket?" he suggested, noting her own confusion on the matter. reaching into his bag without even taking it off, he fiddled through a few things before producing the slip of paper. it was a bit crumpled, but it was there, and he handed it to her, knowing that she was more likely to know the name of whatever department was on the ticket more than he, a foreigner, would.

Minali Otoyome	Spreading the paper out with her hands, Minali glanced it over, trying to find out if there was, in fact, something written on it. Akhet was right! "Says..." She squints down at it, "Ah'm supposed t'take this t'the... council've architecture?" Looking up, she glances around the room. There were plaques above each of the desks, but she couldn't spot the one they needed to find... Maybe he'd have better luck. If not, they'd have to ask someone.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	"hmm..." he mused aloud. "I bet there's something on one of those plaques or signs or something. wandering around sort of, he scanned each sign he passed, slowly but surely eliminating places they needed to go. eventually, he found the one he was looking for, and smirked. "I think this is our place," he nodded towards the sign, basically pointing to it with his nose. "I'm right behind you." Mostly because he was technically uninvolved in the situation apart from being a witness of the crime. If she needed help though, he'd be glad to step up and support her.

Minali Otoyome	Spotting the same plaque, Minali brightens, "Ah think yer right!" Reaching over to take his hand, she pulls Akhet along behind her as she follows the directions. Soon, they reach a desk with a small man behind it. "Be right back," She whispers to him, slowly releasing his hand. Moving over to the desk, she begins to explain things to the clerk, showing him the paper she'd smoothed out once it was crumpled. It took a few moments, but soon, slightly deflated, she returned. "He said they ain't able t'send someone t'look at it until next week..." Minali explains, her expression troubled.

Unsettled slightly by her deflated expression, he heard her out, listening to what she had to say. "well..." Akhet shook his head, "then they better damn well not bug us about it till then, or try to fine us over it." he ranted as he followed her out. "it looks like I'll be sticking around for at least a week."then he paused, knowing how to make her feel better. "But you would probably like me to, wouldn't you?" he reached up to softly scratch her neck under her cute curly hair.

Minali Otoyome	"A'course," She answered happily, letting her eyes slip shut to savor the sensations, "Ah like havin' ya around!" Then, suddenly, Minali blinks, seeing the other side of that comment; Akhet wouldn't be around forever - he was going to leave eventually. Almost instantly, her renewed happiness was gone, replaced with depression. She tried to hide it, but her own expressive face worked against her. It was very, very clear that she was unhappy, though the why of it might not be quite as clear.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	"and I like having you around." he agreed. She already knew many reasons why. The beauty of Akhet's schedule and travels was that he simply worked wherever he was stationed, so to speak. He had nowhere else he had to be at any given time, and so he was not making any schedules. He was also observant, and subtlety was not Minali's strong suit. As they walked back to her shop, he asked her. "Are you alright? you seemed bothered by something after I said I'd be here at least another week..." he'd stay longer if she wanted him to of course... provided there was no family emergency or anything like that. He kind of liked it here, anyways.

Minali Otoyome	Reaching up to rub at her eyes with the heel of her hand, Minali nodded, once, before explaining. "M'glad yer stayin' longer..." She began, "But stayin' longer means that you'll have'ta leave, after that." It was a simple enough concept, but one that had honestly escaped her, until now. Even though she'd known Akhet for a whole two days, she didn't want to say goodbye at all. He was her best friend.

"Does it?" he grinned at her, more than willing to be surprising again. he had done it to many people before, and was fine with doing it again. "I have no plans as to where I'd go, even if I were to leave within a week. Frankly... I am quite fine with sticking around here... or travelling anywhere you'd want to go, if you go with me." he paused, making sure that he was saying made sense. "or in fine... unless some huge family emergency pops up or something, I see no reason I can't stick around... particularly with such a cute young lady like yourself." again trying to lighten the mood with a joke, he added, "unless my crappy humor becomes unbearable." he winked.

Reaching into her dress's pocket, she withdrew the shop key in readiness to open it, spotting it in the distance. Opening the door, she stepped inside, holding the door open for Akhet to follow, as if it was a normal thing.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	he grinned. "there's plenty to see." he flicked her hair playfully, "and plenty to do with someone as lively as you." he grinned, not making it suggestive at all. "I'm sure the two of us could some up with things... even travelling if you didn't mind." he would understand if she didn't, as they couldn't exactly carry her workshop or all of her machines with them. But, he'd let the offer out. he followed her inside. if this had not been her house and he the guest, he would have held the door for her like he had when they were in town. he had learned that such was the respectful thing to do for ladies, or for the elderly. "so aye," he reaffirmed once back inside, as he wiped his feet off, since he had not worn shoes. "I'd love sticking around you're you can tolerate me." he chuckled.

She considers this, moving into the kitchen to take a seat, at the table, "Ah'd have'ta get someone t'work th'shop," She murmurs, almost to herself, "So Ah wouldn't be losin' money on 'er... An' Ah'd have'ta lock up m'workroom, so it wouldn't be messed with..." It seemed that Minali was taking the offer completely seriously and thinking about it with equal gravity.
