A high ranking Earth Kingdom convoy is currently making their way over a trail located at the bottom of the canyons in The Great Divide. The convoy consists of 3 wagons (what is inside the wagons is unknown) and a guard of 10 Dai Li agents.

Kei	Kei lay prone from next to a massive drop into one of the many canyons that made up The Great Divide. He held a pair of binoculars up to his eyes, looking down into the canyon as he watched an Earth Kingdom convey roll by. Watching as the convoy rolled by, Kei recorded every little detail he could pick out about the conoy, hoping to see if he could find anything new. Truth was, Kei had been trailing the convoy since Ba Sing Se. Strangely enough, through his own 'research', the convoy was an unmarked one and didn't appear in the gate ledgers of Ba Sing Se that records all who enter and leave the city. Kei even questioned the Earth Kingdom guards only to find they knew nothing about the convoy. The convoy interested Kei so much because of the large group of Dai Li who were escorting it. Kei was looking into the Dai Li agents because he believed them to be connected to another third party group who he believed was responsible for the death of his mentor and would eventually become the catalyst for a war far worse than any previous one. Whether this was the case or not, Kei was determined to learn the truth and find what the Dai Li agents were escorting. Along with his usual apparal and equipment, Kei brought with him a cart filled with random tools and weapons such as explosives, rope, and other things that may later aid him. So Kei continued watching from the top of the canyon through his binoculars the movement of the convoy and a way to infiltrate the Dai Li's ranks and learn what the wagons held.

Cyrad had tagged along with Kei on his mission to find out what was going on with some mystery convoy that was being escorted by Dai Li agents. Kei had asked for Cyrad's help and told him that it had something to do with both his past and with stopping a great war from coming to fruition. Kei had helped Cyrad out on several occasions and was even going along with Cyrad's plan to form a city-state so he was more than willing to help Kei out. He also had his own reasons for coming. Perhaps what was in the convoy was a new weapon or something worthwhile that Cyrad could use to gain power or defend his new city from the eventual conflict of men.

They had been trailing the convoy all the way from the city, Kei had done some digging around and had come up with no information about it so for now they were just following and watching. On top of Kei's normal weaponry he had a whole cart filled with thing's he thought would help with this job and Cyrad was actually glad he had because against 10 Dai Li agents he was sure they were doomed. So they were just laying on the edge of a fall into the Great Divide, Kei was staring through binoculars and Cyrad was watching their back. He would wait to see what Kei had found, hopefully they would plan an ambush soon because Cyrad was getting impatient which was a rare for him. He thought himself a very bad person for wishing beasts to fell upon the group so that they would be weak enough for Kei's misson to succeed.

Tatsuya Itou	Tatsuya had also tagged along with Kei and Cyrad as they ventured to the place where this group called the 'Dai Li' agents resided. Honestly even though Kei asked Tatsu for help he still would've cam anyways since he often wondered what this group of Earth benders were and besides that he was just bored sitting around doing nothing. Among the group was another individual he'd met before but couldn't really read, Cyrad. To be honest Tatsu thought he was as weird as they cane with an entire arm made of his bending element, it's not like you'd see anyone with arms made of fire. Tatsu walked behind the two as he admired Kei's arsenal of equipment like he was prepared for war, or just maybe he was dressed like this go look cool, either way it was both ridiculous but cool at the same time. Sighing to himself Tatsu started to play with a miniature fireball tossing it back and forth as they continued their small journey of silence. Normally he didn't mind a few moments of silence every once in a while, but this was rather frustrating. "So what's the Dai Li anyways?" Tatsu asked finally attempting to break the silence between the three of them. He kept the small fire in his palm before he started to play with it again only increasing the heat slowly before causing it to descend again.

Kei	Kei was extremely thankful that both Cyrad and Tatsu were accompanying him in his goal to learn the truth about the convoy. They were both very capable fighters and Kei felt a whole lot more confident about going against 10 Dai Li agents. It was currently quiet as the watched the convoy from atop the cliff. Breaking the silence, Tatsu spoke up, "So what's the Dai Li anyways?" Kei had to give Tatsu kudos when he asked this. Tatsu was willing to fight them despite not knowing anything about them. "The Dai Li agents are the top military branch of the Earth Kingdom." Kei began, "They directly serve the Earth Queen Meili and often carry out special operations and top secret missions. These guys are the elite of the elite and have immense combat skill." Kei put his binoculars down and turned to face Cyrad and Tatsu. "So I'm thinking that an ambush would be the most effective way to deal with them. If we hurry ahead of the convoy along the path they are currently following, we should have time to set up a very effective ambush."

Cyrad was surprised that Tatsu didn't know who the Dai Li were and wondered if he would have joined them in this folly of a mission if he had. Cyrad, who was a innately good person, had never been on the opposing side of Dai Li agents before but had seen their work once or twice in his travels and had learned to both fear and respect them immensely. Cyrad let Kei explain to Tatsu who the Dai Li were mostly because he seemed to be the only one with a healthy fear of the Dai Li and didn't want to be the coward of the group. When Kei was done he addressed his two companions.

"So I'm thinking that an ambush would be the most effective way to deal with them. If we hurry ahead of the convoy along the path they are currently following, we should have time to set up a very effective ambush."

"I agree Kei but these are Dai Li agents a simple ambush might not be enough to take them out, not enough of them anyway. I mean you have a arsenal right there but it might be unwise to use it all for risk of damaging what were here to collect." Cyrad paused for a moment to let this sink in. He also had to collect himself before saying his next bit. "Kei if you are serious about proceeding with this we're going to have to kill them, you understand that right? Any survivors will report us and we will become enemies of the state, and not only do I live in Ba Sing Se but I have a master there who I'm pretty sure would report me." Cyrad didn't hold any grivence to the thought either, it's what made him respect Naseru.

Tatsuya Itou	Nodded a bit as he listened to Kei explain what the Dai Li was and how they operated. After Kei was finished he suddenly made a small stop to pull out his binoculars in order to scout for the Dai Li agents he just heard about. Giving off a small sigh Tatsu lowered himself as he made a small spark by rubbing his two fingers together to create friction, why was he doing all these things? No reason. He listened closely to Kei and Cyrad as they spoke of a plan to ambush the Dai Li, but of course he knew full well he'd have to kill someone and while not really keen on doing so unless it was absolute, it was human lives about to be taken here. Tatsu kept quiet as he had little to say during their debriefing, instead he started to meditate to keep his mind off of the situation, at least say calm as he felt the fire inside him warm his spirits. Giving off a smile Tatsu as he placed a hand on Cyrad's stone shoulder. "You worry too much." He said with a smile as he reached over to steal a blade from Kei's arsenal of weapons. "As for Kei, he needs to lighten his weaponry, he'll only slow down the process and be left open." He suggested as be strapped the blade to his side where one of two empty holsters lay.

Kei	Replying to Cyrad's comment on whether or not they should leave the Dai Li Agents alive, Kei replied, "I'm not usually one for killing, but I realize that our opponents this time may be to strong to worry about not killing them. Also I don't want my mission to jeopardize the rest of your life, so I will cope with not leaving any survivors." To Tatsu's reply about his massive arsenal of weapons he was carrying and how it would slow him down, Kei replied a bit excitedly, "Just you wait and see what's inside this cart Tatsu, I've got quite a surprise for the Dai Li Agents." He didn't see Tatsu take the knife out of the cart however, but even if he did, he wouldn't care too much, Kei would have told Tatsu he could have the simple throwing knife as a payment if he wanted. "Come on", Kei said as he led Tatsu and Cyrad along the Canyon top ahead of the Dai Li agents. After they had about a 30 minute lead on the Dai Li Convoy, Kei stopped and decided that this should be enough time to give them a chance to create a devastating ambush. Kei began to share his own personal experiences with fighting Earth Benders. "The thing about Earth Benders," Kei explained, "Is that despite being slower than the other types of bending, Earth Bending has the highest defensive capabilities. Attacking a strong Earth Bender head on is never a good idea, they usually have an easy time stopping most, straight forward attacks. So we want an ambush that will take out as many of the agents as possible instantly. After that, we will have to rely on speed and unreadable attacks to take out the rest. It will be 3 against 10 now, and even though we will have the advantage of a first attack, our weakness will be a prolonged battle, so we should not initially hold back in our attack." Kei gave a smile as he began to unveil why he had brought the cart of equipment along. "Now Tatsu, you'll see why I lugged this thing around." He was excited because most of this was stuff you couldn't simply buy at weapon shops, it was things he acquired when working with Ul. Years ago, they had hidden bunkers filled with equipment located in several locations in the Earth Nation. He was just glad that he actually had a chance to use it again. Kei began taking out random equipment and weapons out of the cart explaining what each of them were. He began by removing the 2 heavy barrels of highly explosive powder, then the 10 sticks of dynamite, 5 pressure sensitive landmines, 4 Flash Bangs, 8 Fragmentation Grenades, 4 Smoke Bombs, 2 high powered armor piercing crossbows with steel bolts that could pierce thick infantry armor , 9 throwing knives (Kei noticed at this point that for some odd reason he was missing one), 2 short swords, 1 throwing axe, and a large arrow ballista looking contraption he identified as weapon called "Heaven's Smite" as well as the two massive steel rods for it. Of course, this didn't include the equipment what he had on himself. "Heaven's Smite", Kei explained, "is basically a bunker buster and is meant to be extremely effective against Earth Benders. It basically works very similar to an Arrow ballista, except instead of firing the arrow directly at its target, it launches the projectile high up in the air and lets gravity pull it down onto its target much similar to artillery. Though the delay before hitting the target is much higher than a simple ballista, its power is much greater and will penetrate thick walls. Also note that whenever a Earth Bender creates a protective earth dome around himself, the weakest point is usually the very top of the dome, which the projectile is meant to penetrate. This weapon fire steel rods with a timed fragmentation bomb attached to the back. So basically, the steel rod penetrates any defensive walls and will land inside the targets defensive zone. Afterward, the fragmentation bomb will go off and take out any target in the near vicinity of it. The downfall of this weapons is that it's solely a long range weapon with a slow reload time and I only have 2 steel rods for it to fire. Kei did a quick stretch before they got down to business. "So I was thinking we lure the Dai Li agents to an object with explosives in it down on the road and hope that they fall for the bait and it takes out a few of them. After that, I figured we used the the high explosive barrels to collapse part of the cliff on the Dai Li agents and bombard them with long range attacks in the meantime as we will have the height advantage if we attack from atop the cliff. We can also plant some of the landmines down on the path and hope some of the Dai Li agents get unlucky and step on them." Kei scratched his head, "Of course there is no knowing how well that will go. You guys have any other suggestions? I'm also cool with whatever weapons you want to use."

"Ah yes, I see we had planned a field-trip today?" Senpak said, possibly startling the three others. He had been tagging along with the group until this morning, but hadn't been included in the actual planning. As a non-bender he had been left out of the loop. That didn't keep Senpak from suspecting something. The cart was way too big and expensive for Kei to have bought without reason.

This morning, Senpak had been preparing breakfast for the group, when he noticed their beds had been empty. Apparently they had left without informing him, which wasn't unusual for people to do to butlers, but it annoyed Senpak regardless. His first reaction had been to resign to his fate, eat breakfast, make some tea and wait for everyone to return. Just, he couldn't. The cart had been a mystery and Senpak had been too agitated to relax. Deciding that he could use some exercise, the young butler went out to follow them, bringing his special umbrella and whip along. The cart-tracks in the sun didn't make it too hard to guess where the three had went. Unfortunately Senpak was no tracker, so the butler had lost their trace several times and only by accidentally had stumbled on their little meeting.

"Gentlemen, you better have a good explanation for this."

Cyrad had been the one who invited Senpak along, he had met the butler in a bar recently and one thing lead to another and he offered to pay the man to hang around. He was considering adding Senpak to the city group but he wanted to know how the man operated first. He had left Senpak behind because he feared the butler would be injured in the fight or even have a strong sense of right and wrong and rat them out when they got back to the city. At this point Cyrad could only hope.

"Gentlemen, you better have a good explanation for this."

"Senpak, what are you doing here? We left you behind so you'd stay safe." Cyrad paused for a moment thinking. "Actually it might be good for you to be here, can you work a crossbow," Cyrad changed his recipent to Kei "Could you teach him how to work your Heaven's smite?"

Cyrad then adressed the flaw he saw in Kei's plan. "Most of that I'm alright with but the landmines are a bad idea. At best they will be ineffectual but at worst they will warn the Dai Li that they're walking into an ambush. Most high level earthbenders don't wear footwear." Cyrad gestured to his own bare feet. "And that gives us and understanding of the local area, landmines would be like places warning flags around the spot." Cyrad hated being the bearer of bad news but he had to say it if they wanted to have a chance.

Ooc: Sorry for the delay guys, college just started this week and I've been a bit busy, I'll try to post more and since I'm only taking two classes my time schedule(plus the two jobs I have) shouldn't really be too much of an issue ^ ^

Tatsuya Itou	Clapped his hands in awe of Kei's rather odd machine being deployed against the rather strong looking earth dome before it eventually shattered. "Ah, so the center is their weakness." Tatsu stated while observing the structure of the dome from a close inspection, but of course he was at a fair distance so it was very hard to confirm that especially with the volley of weapons raining down and the scattering of the Dai Li agents. "Well so much for a good ambush." Tatsu said as he tossed the small knife in his hand before it lit ablaze. "Ah, as for the plan, well I got something better.~" Tatsu said as he responded to Cyrad's worry as he skipped his way towards the Convoy with a big smile on his face. "Why don't we set the tires on fire?" Tatsu asked as he made a finger gun with his left hand. Closing one eye he took a rather precise aim before igniting his finger ablaze and firing a searing flame towards the wheels of the front wagon, of course this action was going to catch the Dai Li's attention on Tatsu as they were mainly focusing on Kei. "Haha, this is fun~!" Exclaimed Tatsu as he sprinted towards the other wagon only to collide face first into a wall of earth. This was the second time Tatsu had experienced Earth bending being used in combat but the first time it was used against himself. Holding his face that took most of the force Tatsu made a rather odd growling sound as he picked himself up before twisting his body to create a rather large arc of flames by setting his left foot on fire. As his foot sweep the ground a large scorch mark followed until he came to a complete stop before getting upon his feet. "Oops." Tatsu said as he saw the damage he'd done.
