A sunny day (open)

Cyrad had been busy, he had been in his home town just stopping through when his old neighbor asked him guard his daughter on her trip to Omashu to fulfill a marriage agreement.  Cyrad was hesitant but when the man offered quite a bit of money Cyrad couldn't turn the job.  Luckily she had brought her brother and best friend because Cyrad wasn't quite comfortable being alone with such a beautiful girl.  The trip took a few weeks and was happily uneventful.  

Cyrad spent a couple of days in Omashu before running into a firebender mercenary he had worked with on a couple of jobs before.  He was out looking for people to join him on a job and Cyrad was glad to fill the slot.  They had to chase the group of thieves south, threw the swamp before overrunning them near Gao ling.  They brought the criminals to the city and handed them over for the reward.  Happily weighed by his coin purses Cyrad went his own way wishing the group good travels.

He ended up in Chin a little while later, there was a smith here who needed a hand for a few days.  Cyrad didn't really need the money but he missed working the forge so he helped the man out.  He finished the last of the work last night and for the first time in months got tipsy.  He spent the day in the inn enjoying the soft bed like few before.

Today Cyrad woke up, bathed, and looked in the mirror and noticed a thing layer of stubble over his head.  He bended the rocks and pebbles from his beard into a stone knife and shaved his head bald.  Washing the hair off he got dressed before looking at himself again in the mirror, he was wearing one of his favorite pairs of pants.  It was a light brown and had eleven pockets all of which were stuffed with either goodies or rocks.  He was wearing a shirt that had once been forest green but the color was pretty worn.  He strapped his belt on and adjusted his sword on his left hip and placed his fathers hammer through a loop on the right.  Finally he grabbed his pack and headed downstairs.  The place was pretty nice and Cyrad had been willing to pay for a decent bed for once.  It wasn't that late but the lack of a breakfast crowd told Cyrad he had slept in.  He got some leftover stew put in a hallowed out stale loaf of bread, paid a couple of coins, and went off to see what the day had in store.

His feet brought him to the market and he lolled around for a while content to window shop.  There was several people about but Cyrad didn't bother them.  If someone wanted him he was here.  He was eventually drawn in by a cart man trying to sell a whalebone knife and settled in for the mans long and complex pitch.
