Loki	Loki was pleased by the amount of glowing jewels, and started pulling on some while Tarek made rubbings. They were all very stubborn and wouldn't come out of the wall no matter how hard she pulled. She scrunched up her face, remembering that Daichi had said that it was possible for the tunnel to collapse. For all she knew these might be load-bearing crystals. She decided it would be better to not pull on them and just wait for one to be sitting on the ground. She wondered how well the gems stood up to damage, and scratched on one with her knife. The glowing rock revealed a tiny scratch had been made, but it still seemed too sturdy to be cut through or broken by any sort of throwing. "So what're you doing that for?" she asked Tarek about his rubbings.

Daichi	Daichi strolled in ahead of the rest, on guard, as usual. He brought up his bow, and his eyes scanned the room, looking for enemies. He noted that the chamber had multiple exits and entrances. This place is perfect. If i'm ever chased into the tunnels, escape should be easy. Daichi turned around, checking on Tarek and Loki. Loki was inspecting jewelry, and Tarek was making rubbings. Lowering the bow, Daichi walked over to them, just in time too catch Loki inquiring as too what Tarek was up to.

Tarek Raiden	"So what're you doing that for?” Tarek continued making the rubbing as he answered Loki’s question, “Just making some quick rubbings of these old symbols, they fetch quite a high price from scholars and collectors.” Tarek cautiously rolled up the parchment and placed it in his coat. “This tunnel leads to a small balcony overlooking the main chamber,” he continued, “If what that guard said was true, Zolin is in there, along with the treasure, trying to find a way into the palace… we should go take a look,” Tarek said with a mischievous smile, as he made his way into the tunnel. Tarek hadn’t walked too far before he came to the balcony. He crouched down to stay hidden as he peeked into the main chamber. The chamber itself was huge, with massive crystal formations protruding from the ceiling and walls. The ground was perfectly smooth and a river flowed through center of the room. Tarek also noticed many guards which looked similar to the ones they had met earlier. A huge man, who Tarek assumed to be Zolin led them. Tarek began to turn toward Daichi and Loki when a massive crash erupted from the main chamber. The whole place began shaking like an earthquake as Zolin’s earthbender’s carelessly began making a tunnel through the dense rock. Before Tarek could speak he felt the ledge on which he was standing begin to crumble. He looked for something to grab but it was too late and he found himself tumbling toward the ground.

Loki	Loki was told that the rubbings were worth a lot of money and was ready to inquire how he was making them, but they began to move on. She didn't imagine she'd come back anyway. Besides, how much could a rubbing be worth? They'd made it onto a balcony and were overlooking a main chamber. Beautiful crystals came of out of the ceiling, and Loki lusted after them while Tarek was observing the guards and leader. Their green glow and various torches, lit the room enough to make out a river too. It was a pleasant place to be. Until the guards started ripping it apart. Loki held her hands to the side for balance, and Tarek started falling to the ground with the now broken balcony. She acted quickly, jumping off the ledge and grabbing Tarek. Her airbending was passable, and the gusts she was employing to slow down their progress were enough to leave them unharmed. A significant chunk of rock fell down next to Loki. She decided to get away from the apparently fragile balcony. Scuffling quickly, Loki was now a good yard or two away from the crumbled ledge. She looked over to the room and was pretty sure the guards would have noticed them tumbling to their near death, but maybe they were denser than she knew.

Daichi	Daichi walked to the blacony, arriving prior to Loki and Tarek. He surveyed the scene, there were a lot of guards, perhaps too many. He assumed to one leading them was this 'Zolin' he'd heard about. But, Daichi's main concern was with the tunnel they were trying to make. If it did reach into the palace, well, the assassin would have no qualms exploiting that. The problem was that these earthbenders didn't exactly know what they were doing, the tunnels could collapse at any moment. As if it had been cued, Daichi was struck with a sudden sense of weightlessness as he began to tumble through the air. Acting almost on instinct, he reached out for the earth around him, and managed to latch onto something. A moment later, he realized that he'd in fact earthbended a section of the wall outwards, and that he was now hanging by his left arm. Daichi swiftly hoisted himself up , so that he was perched on the small outcrop of rock, he peered down, noticing that Loki had saved Tarek. He actually doubted they'd seen what happened to him, they probably assumed he was buried under all the ruble. Daichi smiled, with all the focus on the other two, he could do what he does best. Daichi was going to assassinate Zolin.

Tarek Raiden	Tarek braced himself for impact with the fast approaching ground when Loki grabbed him, and safely set them down on the ground using her airbending. “Thank you Loki,” he said while giving a quick bow, “the reflexes of the airbenders never disappoint.” Tarek looked toward the main chamber hoping that they weren’t seen by anyone. For a moment, Tarek was relieved to see that no one had noticed them. However, his relief quickly disappeared; Zolin was not as oblivious as his henchmen were. “Who are you?” Zolin shouted in a commanding voice before quickly continuing, “what does it even matter, guards kill them!” Zolin then began suspiciously scanning the walls of the main chamber, “and earthbenders keep going!” Ten guards had now started to approach Tarek and Loki, they were slightly better armed than the ones they met earlier. The chamber started shaking violently as the earthbenders continued their amateurish assault on the ancient walls of Old Ba Sing Se. Tarek looked in Loki’s direction and shouted, “One of us needs to stop those earthbenders before this whole place comes down!” Either he or Loki could go, but one would have to stay and take out the guards. Tarek hadn’t noticed Daichi since the fall, but he had a feeling that he would go for Zolin himself.

Loki	The guards actually were dull enough to miss them hurtling to the ground, but it seemed their leader was not. He made the command and the guards were immediately upon Tarek and Loki. "One of us needs to stop those earthbenders before this whole place comes down!" Tarek shouted. Loki took this as more of a command than a suggestion, so she nodded her head and ran off. The earthquake-like shakes were even greater inside of the tunnel, but Loki was nimble enough to stay on her feet. She ambled down the shaking hole which had grown much further than she'd expected. But she was quickly there, and when she was, she used the increased power that a tunnel gave her. All of her airbending was much more focused here, and what was normally a weak burst was now a powerful blast. Loki pushed as much air as she could at the benders, basically pinning them to the wall. It didn't kill them, but it would do, they were helpless to the force that was pressing them to the earth, and without limbs, she knew earthbenders wouldn't be doing much. She'd just hold this until Tarek or Daichi came to finish them off. Now that she was thinking, she figured Tarek would have been better suited to finish off the men in the tunnel, his fire would have filled the whole thing and turned these men to ash. She'd followed orders though, and that was all she could do.

Daichi	Daichi had closed himself off from all the potential distractions, now it was just him and his prey. Just like the good ol' days. The assassin was garbed in all black, so thankfully he doubted that he'd be noticed by Zolin, who seemed to be scanning the walls. For a moment, several ideas zipped through Daichi's head. Alright, so how are we going to go about this? Arrow? No, not powerful enough. Ten arrows? No, guards. Slit his throat? No, can't get close enough. Earthebending. Perfect. With that, Daichi reached out for the earth around him, or more specifically, the earth over Zolin's head, but he stopped, just dropping a load of earth wasn't going to do anything, he needed something more. He thought for a moment, and had a stroke of genius. With that, he started to silently make his way around the chamber, aiming to get behind Zolin.

Tarek Raiden	Loki quickly ran off to stop the earthbenders and Tarek was left surrounded by the guards. He went down on one knee, closed his eyes and placed his right fist on the ground. In the next instant flames were racing along the floor right through the middle of the group of enemy guards. Tarek’s eyes shot open with a bright orange glow as he quickly clapped his hands together and stood straight up, thrusting his joined hands upwards as he did. The track of flames on the ground instantly shot upwards creating a large burning wall that separated the guards into two groups. The two guards on either side of the wall that were the closest as the flames shot up, fell to the ground and lay in agony as the intense burst of heat incapacitated them. The guards were now split into two groups of four. Tarek was on the left side of the fire wall and ran towards the guards. He launched a fireball at the first which knocked him off his feet; the man lay there with a smouldering wound on his chest. Tarek kept running forward towards the fast approaching guards, he pulled his spear out as the second guard swung his sword at him. Tarek ducked out of the way, spun round and hit him across his face with his spear, and in the same movement thrust his spear into the third guard’s stomach. The one remaining guard on the left side of the wall was quickly taken care off as Tarek delivered a powerful fire fuelled kick to his chest. Tarek then turned towards the wall of fire and swung his arm towards it, pushing it and the other four guards behind it across the entire room all the way to the nearby chamber wall. Zolin was crafty and paranoid; he never took his eyes of the chamber walls, even though there was a fight going. He wouldn’t stop looking for the third intruder. He quickly bent streams of water around his arms preparing for anything. “I know you’re here somewhere,” he shouted angrily as he slashed massive water whips back and forth across the chamber walls.

Loki	Unfortunately for Loki, the earthbenders weren't content with being pinned to the wall. Loki's power was quickly depleting, and two of the earthbenders on the edges of the tunnel had enough strength to break out of the wind. One of them twisted and tried to crush Loki in pillars of rock while the other tried to close Loki off, dropping a sort of rock door. Loki immediately shut off the hurricane once she saw what was happening and twisted away from the first crushing pillar, forced to jump backwards by the next one, and even further back by the next one. Then she saw the door dropping and realized that they wouldn't have much of a chance to stop the earthbenders from tunneling if they couldn't get to them. She shot herself on a jetstream of air, blasting right under the rock wall which stopped moving as soon as Loki appeared. The earthbender had unknowingly made Loki even more powerful though, they were in a much smaller room now and her air would be further contained. Loki twisted her arms quickly, starting a vortex of air that picked all the earthbenders up and threw them against the walls. Each time they crashed they were only picked up again by the wind and thrown again. Loki let out a little sigh of relief as she twisted the benders around the room.

Daichi	Daichi began to leap across the walls, pulling out thin outcrops of rock for him to stand on, however, things got slightly tricky when his target began to furiously launch giant water whips at the wall. Which, in Daichi's opinion was a tad unfair. The assassin began to dodge the water whips, and he was doing so quite competently, until he overshot a jump slightly. Daichi landed just on the edge of the outcrop and began to precariously teeter, all the while flailing. Flailing is hard work, and he certainly wasn't concentrating on anything else, so unsurprisingly he was slammed in the back by a water whip, and brought crashing into the ground.

Tarek Raiden	Zolin still couldn’t see his target, and continued thrashing streams of water against the walls. He didn’t even realize he had managed to hit Daichi, as the lighting was particularly bad against the distant wall. Tarek looked up and saw Zolin frantically attacking the wall, but couldn’t see Daichi either. He also heard a lot of commotion coming from Loki’s direction. Tarek quickly weighed up his options and decided that Zolin wasn’t sure of Daichi’s location, and that Daichi had the upper hand. After all Tarek had seen Dai’s skill in stealth earlier and decided to go check up on Loki. He turned and ran down in the direction she went earlier. Tarek arrived at a massive wall, the tunnel was sealed off. “Loki!” he shouted as he felt around the wall for any opening he could find. “Are you alright!?” He could hear a commotion behind the wall but had no idea what was happening. He took his spear and started hacking it into the wall in an attempt to make an opening. Firebending wouldn’t be of much help here.

Loki	After a while, most of the earthbenders had been knocked unconscious from being dashed against the rock walls. Loki kept up her spinning vortex until only one remained. She dropped the air blasts and shouted, "Let us out or I'll take the air out of your lungs!" Of course, Loki had no ability to do that, but the man didn't ask any questions. His fear was obvious, his eyes wide as an open head wound bled down his face. Loki was lucky that they had closed off the tunnel, the small space had made her airbending more focused and controlled. What she normally couldn't do became much easier. The earthbending man punched a square out of the wall, and Loki immediately ran out of it. The man seemed to still be too afraid of Loki's power to do anything in retaliation, plus he seemed dizzy. There sure was a lot of blood gushing out of his scalp. "Oh Tarek! You came to save me!" Loki shouted sarcastically when she spotted him. She hadn't heard anything he'd said inside the huge roar of the tornado she'd conjured. She held her hands together by her shoulder and gave him exaggerated doe eyes, fluttering her eyelashes in mock admiration.

Daichi	A minute passed, and Daichi began to slowly push himself upwards, leaning against the wall for support. Once he'd successfully managed to stand up he dusted himself off and inspected his wounds. Nothing seemed to be falling off, but he felt an intense pain in the upper right of his torso, Daichi rolled his eyes Probably just another rib, nothing too important. with that, he once again set off creeping through the shadows, narrowly avoiding several water whips, but doing well overall, still, he could hardly sneak forever.

Tarek Raiden	Tarek was hacking away at the earth wall, but he was hardly making a scratch. Suddenly a square was punched out of the wall, right besides Tarek. He looked up in surprised as Loki stepped out. "Oh Tarek! You came to save me!" she shouted sarcastically. Tarek didn’t answer; instead he peeked in the hole and saw the earthbenders lying all over the place. “It looks like they needed the rescuing more than you did,” He chuckled, as he pulled his spear out of the wall, “and sarcasm Loki? It’s unbecoming,” he said with a lopsided grin, teasing her back a little. “Dai is still back there with the leader and with all the loot… let’s go help him out!” Tarek said as he darted off, “and when we are done, you can have as many crystals as you can carry!” Zolin was tired and panting heavily. He started doubting himself, wondering if there really was any one there. He stopped with the water whips and slowly inched forward into the darkness, he had some water in a small deerskin. “Show yourself!” he shouted when he realised standing in the dark without knowing where or who is enemy was, was probably not the best of ideas.

Loki	Loki was very proud of her achievement. She'd normally have trouble taking on one earthbender, let alone a whole group of them. "It was their own fault. They closed off the tunnel, and my bending became focused for once." and with Tarek's second remark Loki replied, [color=#566D7E]"And sarcasm is my only method of communication, it's a disability." she said with her usual smirk. Tarek began running back out of the tunnel to help Daichi, but Loki was pretty sure Daichi could take care of himself. In fact, they might be interrupting some sort of sneak attack, Daichi was an assassin after all. But she did not make her concerns known. "and when we are done, you can have as many crystals as you can carry!" Tarek yelled. He might have done so mockingly, but Loki's eyes lit up immediately. She could see herself covered in the glowing stones, hanging off of all sorts of gaudy chains, maybe sewn into her own glowing rock armor. Maybe she could have a curved dagger made of one. The various uses that Loki had for the rock played in her mind, and she daydreamed as they ran.

Daichi	A few moments passed, and Daichi couldn't help but notice that Zolin seemed to be getting a little mad. Out came a shout of "Show yourself" and his suspicions were confirmed. There were several ways of going about what Daichi had to do, and though the way he picked wasn't the easiest, it was definitely the best. The assassin felt that it was about time he stretched himself again, it had been a while since he'd opened up his last can of whoop ass, and it just so happened that this Zolin fellow was strong enough the loosen the lid a bit. Daichi had made his way around the cave now, he was facing Zolin's right side. He took a moment to make a little plan, and then broke into a powerful sprint. Once he reached Zolin, he leapt into the air, using his feet to Earthbend himself even higher, he was right above his prey at this point. Daichi threw his right leg into the air, bringing it down right over Zolin's head. He hoped that the force of his kick would be enough to send Zolin flat into the ground, but there was never any guaranteeing that it would work, he could of course, move out the way.

Tarek Raiden	As Tarek ran back towards Daichi, he noticed a small room, where crates of jewels, gems and treasure were being hoisted up by a massive wooden contraption using an intricate system of pulleys. He gestured for Loki to stop running and hid with his back against the wall just outside of the room as he peeked inside. “They are getting away with some of the treasure,” he whispered to Loki. “Daichi can handle himself, we have to stop them before they get away with everything…and let’s try not to destroy that contraption they are using to hoist up the gems…we could use it ourselves…” he said with a grin. Zolin shot a stream of water in the direction he heard Daichi coming from, but Daichi was already in the air and Zolin’s shot missed completely. The next thing he knew, Daichi was on top of him, and Zolin fell to the ground as Daichi’s kick hit its mark. Zolin let out an angry curse and rolled away from his attacker. Once he was a couple of feet away, he quickly leapt to his feet and turned to faced Daichi, bringing large amounts water from the nearby river towards him as he prepared to attack. He suddenly lunged forward, shooting streams of water towards Daichi, intent on bringing him down. Where earlier he appeared to be paranoid and fearful, Zolin’s face was now just filled with rage.

Loki	Loki nearly gasped aloud when they spotted the room full of treasure. Luckily she had trouble breathing from her excitement, so the noise was not made. She grabbed Tarek for support, and her eyes glistened as she looked at the visible gems and jewels. She took a breath through her nose, a deep one, for she realized she'd forgotten to breathe. "We need to get it." Loki said simply to Tarek. She took a step forward, making her way toward all the glorious riches. So which strategy would Loki employ? A sneaky strategy would let her take out at least one person before the small crowd in the room realized what had happened. She quietly stepped into the dimly lit area, grabbed the nearest person by the mouth, and chopped their throat from one vein to the other artery. No noise, but the room wasn't exactly dark. A man took notice and shouted, the fight was on.

Daichi	Daichi groaned, he'd hoped the attack would do more damage, but this Zolin guy seemed quite tough. As the other guy lunged, Daichi was hit by several streams of water, thankfully, it was only water, and he was bruised a little. The assasssin had never quite fathomed why waterbenders did that, it seemed kind of useless to him. But, there was not much time to mull over the stupidity of the 'Tribes, he had to act. Thankfully, the lunge gave him the perfect opportunity to do just that, Dai grabbed some earth above him, and some below, right under the bit on top. At this point, Zolin was in mid-lunge, and Daichi had his arms spread out. With a clap, he brought them together, the pieces of Earth would soon follow, echoing the clap as they slammed together. Hopefully, Daichi had timed it right, if he had, Zolin's skull would be between the rocks, if not, he was about to be tackled.

Tarek Raiden	Tarek couldn’t help but chuckle slightly at Loki’s reaction to the treasure; she seemed really excited about it, as giddy as a schoolgirl in fact. She even grabbed on to Tarek and seemed to forget how to breathe for a second. “We need to get it” she whispered softly to Tarek. “Yes,” he replied with a smile as he pulled the map he had retrieved earlier out of his pocket and held it up against the wall, “we will need a plan…Loki, you head for…uh…Loki?” he said noticing that Loki, who was standing next to him a second ago, had now disappeared. He immediately knew where she went and peeked back into the room. “Why aren’t I surprised,” he said to himself with a chuckle. He decided to wait it out and see if she could do it quietly. Unfortunately, she was spotted after taking down one guard. Tarek immediately ran into the room, making a big, bright flash of flame as he entered so as to take some of the attention of Loki, so that she wouldn’t be overwhelmed by every guard in the room. The guards split up and went after Tarek and Loki in two groups. There weren’t any benders amongst them, but they were all quite capable martial artists, and so they all had to try and get in close to the firebender and airbender if they were to take them down. A group of six men charged Tarek, basically lining themselves up as they attacked one by one. He sidestepped the first and put his leg out, tripping the man and sending him flying into the nearby wall head first. The next attacker got a quick jab to the throat before he could do much and dropped down like a sack of potatoes at Tarek’s feet. Tarek felt like he was on a roll as he ducked under a wild haymaker from the third attacker and countered with three quick jabs to the chest, and a powerful uppercut to his jaw, knocking the man flat onto his back. His rhythm was broken, however, as the fourth attacker managed to evade Tarek’s first punch, retaliating with solid punch to Tarek’s ribs, and following up with a right hook to his face. Tarek staggered back with a bloodied nose as the man lunged forward again. Luckily, Tarek managed to recover quickly and spun around, kicking the man squarely in the chest, shooting a bright flame out of his foot as he did this, launching the man a couple of feet in the air. Tarek turned to the final two attackers, with his fists enveloped in flames, and his eyes glowing bright orange. The two remaining men scrambled out of the room without a second thought, and Tarek threw a ball of fire at their feet as they scurried away to make sure that they were sufficiently scared. ********************************************************************************** Zolin cursed as his water streams seemed to have no real effect on Daichi. He lunged at the assassin, even angrier than before. He noticed that Daichi had begun earthbending the rock above him and below him, looking to crush Zolin in mid-air as he dived towards Daichi. Zolin quickly bended a large stream of water behind him, using it to propel him even faster towards his foe, narrowly avoiding the two slabs of rock as they crashed together behind him. He tackled Daichi and began punching down at his face as they wrestled on the ground.

Loki	Loki winced as every man in the room made their way toward her. Maybe she should have taken the time to think this through. Welp, hindsight is 20-20, Loki thought. Luckily, Tarek came in with a flash of light and split the commotion in two. There had been a dozen men, but with one dead, Loki received five fighters. She put herself above them, floating on the air to get an advantage. They got to her one at a time, Loki used her bending to burn through them quickly. The first man simply tried to tackle her, but Loki moved out of the way like a matador and held out her knife instead of a cape. His neck gladly accept the blade, and he fell down dead. The next man approached more cautiously, but quickly tried a jab at Loki's face. Loki bent the air and threw his arm above her head. His momentum pushed him forward, and Loki brought her knife forward at the same time. Two down, and the third quickly after. A running kick ended in another stab-wound to the neck. The fourth and fifth approached together, one going for a punch to the gut and the other for the nose, but Loki floated back, allowing them to miss, and then went forward to cut the one on her left. The fifth had a second chance, and tried to grapple her, but Loki kept her knife arm above her head and brought it down on the man's brain stem as they went down. Her assailants were dead, but Loki had a dead body holding her down. "Tarek! Get the corpse off of me!" Loki shouted, a little giggle from the adrenaline was in her voice.

Daichi	If Daichi had the time, he'd have certainly rolled his eyes. He really couldn't land a hit as of late, and it was beginning to seriously irritate him. A moment later, he'd been knocked to the ground, and was having his face pounded in by this bear of a man. Daichi writhed as much as he could, yet he simply couldn't escape, both his arms were completely pinned down, and he could hardly concentrate anyway due to the absolute curb stomping he was receiving. Still, Daichi had received many an ass kicking from his father, and had learnt to deal with that sort of situation quite well. He managed to calm himself down, and stopped struggling like a maniac. The assassin took a deep breath, and grabbed as much of the earth above him as he could possibly manage with his arms pinned down. With a gesture that certainly would have been dramatic, had he not been pinned down, he brought as much earth as he could crashing down on Zolin, sadly, all he could grab was a couple of rocks.

Tarek Raiden	After the two remaining guards scrambled out of the room, Tarek quickly turned and scanned the room for any sign of Loki. He spotted her taking out the last guard, who fell limply on top of her as he died. “Tarek! Get the corpse off of me!” she shouted, with a little giggle. Tarek let out a smile, which turn into a slight chuckle as he made his way over to her and pushed the heavy, dead body off of her. He held his hand out to help her up. “You okay?” he asked kindly. He wasn’t implying that she couldn’t look after herself or anything, he knew that she could. He was just being polite and making sure that they were ready to continue. Tarek looked around the room now, and curiously made his way over to some large crates. “They sure have a lot of these crates,” he said as he noticed hundreds of them scattered around the large room. “I wonder what’s inside?” He continued, using his spear to pry one open. With a jerk, the crate’s lid flew off and a bright glow immediately began emanating from inside. Tarek’s eyes widened and he lowered his hand into the crate, pulling out handfuls of bright, sparkling gems. There was everything from diamonds to rubies, from emeralds to sapphires and Tarek held them all up for Loki to see, grinning happily as he did so. ********************************************************************************** Zolin grinned madly as he punched down at the young earthbender under him. “You had your chance!” he laughed madly “when you were in the dark! But now you aren’t going to leave here alive!” he continued with a roar. He was so filled with rage that he didn’t notice Dai begin earthbending the roof of the cave above them. Of the rocks that Daichi pulled down, it was the largest that hit Zolin, colliding with the base of his skull. Miraculously, it didn’t kill him or even knock him out; instead he just seemed stunned, fighting to stay conscious. Zolin let out a long “Ungh!” as he rocked back and forth as if he was drunk, and fought to keep his eyes from rolling back and slipping shut.
