Personality: Kyoshi is a bit shy at first confrontation but he opens up quickly. He is easily intimidated by people of great talent. Kyoshi has a very off-color sense of humor that may offend some people, yet make others laugh hysterically, and he isn't afraid to laugh at his own jokes. Kyoshi learned to make many acquaintances but very few friends.

Abilities: Kyoshi trained with the Katana Blade all of his life in hopes of being a katana master that was until he found his small knack for water-bending. Kyoshi only just discovered his water bending talent a year ago so he is still a beginner in the art of Water-bending. Another skill that Kyoshi has, which isn't so impressive but he prides himself on it, is Fishing, for a bulk of his life, he's been fishing daily to provide food for his sick mother and his young brother, as well as himself.

Appearance: Slight slouch, kind eyes. Traditional Southern Water Tribe clothing with a Katana on his hip, and some muscle definition from regular daily labor.

Hair: Long, black. Pulled in a ponytail high on the upper-back of his head. Sideburns kept trimmed trail down to his jawline with a trimmed goatee connected to it.

History: Kyoshi lived in the Southern Water Tribe all of his life, and has never left. His father, Jinno, died of an unfortunate heart attack when Kyoshi was only eight. His mother is in bed sick most of the time for her weak immune system cannot fight off the sicknesses that consume her. From the time Kyoshi was nine he's been working very hard to support his sick mother and his brother Kikuchiyo, who's age is eleven. Although his mother's sickness is very demanding on him, Kyoshi is more than grateful to take care of her and aid her in the care of her youngest son.
Kyoshi aspires to be a powerful water-bender someday for he has the skill, but he needs to work alot more on his bending if he wants to become a bender of great power but is too nervous to ask the great water-benders of his time to teach him because he wouldn't be able to afford it if they charge, and if they don't he doesn't feel he'd be "worthy" of their teachings.
