Youta Zhu	Youta stretched as he waited outside of the Earth Queen's Palace. He had gotten in really easily to have an audience with the Queen. This was extremely surprising to him especially since he was just a traveler from the Fire Nation. For all they knew he could have been on his way to kill the Earth Queen and they had just let him waltz right on in. He probably wouldn't be able to just do that especially not in the robe he was wearing. He hated having to wear them but he wasn't going to show up to meet the Earth Queen in his regular clothes. He did still have his regular clothes on but they were hidden by his Fire Nation clothing. The red robes went down to the floor and made Youta feel very constricted. His Dao swords remained in their sheaths as usual underneath the robes but he assumed that he'd have to give them up once he got inside the Palace itself. Now Youta was just waiting for permission to enter the palace. He had been told that the Earth Queen was busy with something and he was pretty sure there were other, more important people who also wanted to see her which meant he might have to wait for a while. He wondered what the Earth Queen even did all day, did she just sit around on her throne listening to peoples complaints or desires. Maybe she was always fighting and sparring with people. Maybe she just lay in bed all day and did nothing. The possibilities were endless. Although Youta should have been concentrating on what he was going to say to the Earth Queen, his mind kept on wandering trying to find the infamous Dai Li. He had heard rumours about their ruthlessness and stealth and the stealth part at least seemed to be true for now. Youta had seen some shady looking guys in Ba Sing Se getting rid of trouble but right now he couldn't even find one of them. Either they really were amazing at hiding or they just didn't care about protecting their queen.

Meili Mitali Zalika	Soon enough, however, a Dai Li agent--slightly diminutive in stature, came out to greet the man awaiting entry into the presence of the Earth Queen. Security was not completely lax, after all, for there had been assassination attempts on the queen before. This particular individual looked very solidly built. "Youta Zhu, is it?" It was a woman, based on her voice; an older one, so probably also very experienced. "Come with me..." She led the man through a series of halls--not windy ones that he'd get lost in--just square ones that required a turn here or there before reaching the throne room. Magnificent as it was... it was empty. "So..." the female Dai Li agent asked, "what brings you to the Earth Queen's throne room on a morning like this?" Her tone was commanding, but seemed to be friendly enough. "surely one did not simply wish to pop in on the Earth Queen without a particular purpose, aye?"

Youta Zhu	Was this the Dai Li that Youta had been wondering about all this time? The woman seemed pretty normal and she didn't really seem to be that much of a threat. Maybe that's why they were so good, they'd get you to underestimate them and would overwhelm you when you went easy on them. Youta made sure that it wasn't going to happen to him, he was going to keep his eyes peeled at all times. He could relax for the time being though. He wasn't here to be interrogated or as a prisoner. He had come here to ask something and so he had nothing to fear other than upsetting the Dai Li or the Earth Queen Youta listened to the woman as they walked towards wherever the Queen was currently situated. He was going to have to answer her question but he was going to make sure he didn't give everything away. Youta would have to be careful though, he had heard that some earthbenders could tell when people were lying and this woman could be one of them. He'd have to answer truthfully just in case. "I'm here to offer the Queen a proposition. Something that would benefit both me and her and that could you know..." He said taking a small pause after his last word "liven things up around here". A smile formed on Youta's face as he said it to counter the womans friendliness. It certainly would liven things up.

Meili Mitali Zalika	The Dai Li agent in question listened to the explanation with an interested look in her eyes. She stood with her hands behind her back, although her neck was tilted back to gaze up into this man's eyes to make proper eye contact. She was, after all, almost a foot and a half shorter than he was. He did not intimidate the small woman though. Besides... said woman, while clothed in the robes of the Dai Li, which hid most of her figure--did seem fairly heavyset. "Well..." she purred, "let me assure you that the Earth Queen is listening. What is your proposition to liven things up around here. The Earth Queen is known for partying like no one else in the world, after all..." it was a reputation the monarch seemed rather proud of, and perhaps her inner circle of Dai Li were also aware of it.

Youta Zhu	Youta let out a small chuckle as the woman mentioned the Earth Queen's party habits. He had heard rumours about how she often socialised with the common people and was very lighthearted. It was hard to believe that the woman that was currently being described to him was the one who managed to defeat the Fire Nation in the war. If the rumours about her partying were true then maybe the rumours about her connection to the Underground was also true. He wasn't just going to bring that up randomly when talking to the Earth Queen but maybe he could get there after he talked with her for a while. Right now though, he had to focused on the Dai Li Agent. "I do hope you can keep a secret" Youta said comically melodramatically. He found himself more relax talking to this woman than he had at the start but he didn't know why. Maybe it was because she had shared her thoughts on the Earth Queen with him or maybe it was because he was getting soft. Whatever it was it didn't matter at this time. Youta decided he might as well tell her part of his plans. "I intend to bring glory, land and power to the Earth Kingdom, if the Queen will allow me."

Meili Mitali Zalika	All the while, the Dai Li woman had kept most of her upper face concealed by her large hat. She could see him though, and was interested in these bold suggestions and propositions that were being made to her. "My dear child..." the woman cooed, "I am the greatest keeper of secrets that this fine world has to offer. There is a reason, after all, why I lead the Dai Li..." the cat was just about out of the bag, but the woman seemed to have one more trick up her sleeves. She removed her hat and threw off her robes, revealing a pair of those rock shoes... but also a rather elegant attire, fitting of none other than the queen herself. "...and the Earth Kingdom." she smirked. "so..." she cut right to the chase again, "how exactly do you intend to do this? You certainly have my ears..."

Youta Zhu	Youta started laughing when at the reveal. He should have expected something like this from the extravagant Queen of the Earth Kingdom. His laugh lasted for a few seconds as he regained composure and turned to face the Queen fully. He did a small almost joking bow as he faced her and came back up with a smile on his face. He was almost at a loss for words at how easily he was tricked but at least if he had to be made a fool of it was by the Queen of arguably the most powerful nation on the planet. "It seems that you were 1 step ahead of me your majesty" He said as he prepared to tell her his plan. "It is pretty simple, you turn the other nations against the Fire Nation. To prevent a war you will give the Fire Nation an offer. A simple offer really but one that shall serve you well in the future. That they demilitarise for a while." Youta paused for a while. He'd have to go into further detail. "Now to get the other nations to turn on the Fire Nation may be tricky but I also have a plan for that" he stated with a grin on his face

Meili Mitali Zalika	Meili wasn't afraid to laugh with someone when they laughed. It wasn't like her trick was that cruel either, per se... though it did sometimes help to play a secretive Dai Li agent in order to get an idea at what someone wished to do with the queen. She listened to the proposition and was admittedly a bit skeptical of what she had heard. They had just finished a war with the Fire Nation only a few years ago. Not that there might not have still been old scars, but Meili didn't exactly see it as necessary enough to trigger needing to attack them or defame them all over again. "but why would I want to do that when we are already at peace?" she asked, crossing her arms. "I see no reason to start another war, unless you are secretly trying to get the avatar to formally execute me..."

Youta Zhu	Youta laughed once more as the Queen mentioned having to go to war. Youta knew that the Queen would be skeptical even if it was only at the start, he would've been too if somebody was proposing this plan to him. It was true that a war had just come to an end but neither side gained much. The Earth Kingdom should have crushed the Fire Nation when it had the chance and took it's riches. Youta often wondered what life would be like if he was patriotic and felt like the Fire Nation actually mattered to him. Life would surely be boring if that was the case. Now, however was the time to convince the Earth Queen to come to his side. She would be a powerful ally if Youta could convince her and that was exactly what Youta needed. "War? There will not be another war against the Fire Nation." He stated with his conniving grin still plastered on his face "This will be a massacre your Majesty. A triumphant victory for the Earth Kingdom" Youta was going to have to explain the intricate details of his plans sooner or later so he might as well start now. "The new Fire Lord has been in power for a very short time. He is a man I admire but by travelling the Fire Nation meeting his new subjects he has wasted valuable time" Youta started "He probably has not gotten enough time to talk to his military and to find out about the shady deals and operations the previous Fire Lord was running." Youta paused for a while, he was going for a more dramatic effect as opposed to just blurting it all out at once nervously. "Now have you heard of the Phoenix Knights? The military organisation that is deadly loyal to the glory of the Fire Nation, who surely would not stand for their defeat in the war" Youta asked "I should hope not, considering they don't exist. This band of soldiers would be the type to say attack even without being given the order from the Fire Lord. The only way to deal with them would be to have the Fire Nation temporarily demilitarize due to the Phoenix Knights being ingrained so deeply into the military. Our new Fire Lord is an honourable man who I have no doubt would want to keep the peace between the 4 nations. Surely if somebody as powerful as the elegant Earth Queen pressed the matter, he would oblige and demilitarise, no?"

Meili Mitali Zalika	Meili might have enjoyed power, but she was far from your average power-hungry leader. She was much more shrewd than that, and she would not fall easily to this man's little power-grab. That was the thing about commoners... they thought they wanted power, when in reality, it always got to their heads and they never knew how to handle it. Meili shook her head. She might have been a little different if this had been Firelord Shula, whom she had not exactly known very well, but Firelord Tarek was very different. They were at least acquaintances of some sort, as they had gone on a life-changing adventure together that had become the stuff of legend. Well, and she knew that this was a man of very sound judgment and one of the most powerful firebenders in the world. For Meili to respect someone as her equal in terms of bending power was quite a feat. "so tell me..." she replied after this was all said and done. "what do you gain from all of this? I assure you that if I make any conquests of this level, that I am not the type to reward random citizens with parts of my gain, mind you..." the risks seemed to outweigh the rewards, because it was unlikely that the Water Tribes and the fierce Tekina-Kaze from the Air Temples, would simply stand by and let this happen either.

Youta Zhu	It was definitely going to be hard to convince the Earth Queen to go along with this plan if he could do it at all. It was a dangerous plan that could either work extremely well or could backfire tremendously. Each step would take careful planning to see what could go wrong and even then they would have to be 3 steps ahead of their opponents to have a chance. To accurately predict what the other nations would do and how they would react would be crucial and the smallest miscalculation could wreak havoc. Youta would worry about that if he by some miracle managed to convince the Earth Queen to follow through with the plan. "There are 2 things I want from this conquest your majesty." Youta responded "I want to earn your trust and I want a place in your army. I did not however want to start with all the privates and recruits. One of my greatest weaknesses is being over-ambitious I guess." If the Queen did accept his offer then he wasn't looking for anything too large. He was in the prime of his life and he didn't just want a title such as Admiral or General being thrown at him because he came up with one idea. He doubted it would happen anyway but he just wanted to start a little higher up than the recruits who would probably be amateur fighters at best. The Queen's trust would be an amazing thing to gain though and it would help him in the future. "From what I've heard, Fire Lord Tarek is a good man that many love already. He is charismatic and powerful. I have no doubt that he could raise an army strong enough to fight if he wanted to attack. This may be your only chance ma'am. It is down to you. If you want not this plan then I shall leave here and never again mention it."

Meili Mitali Zalika	Meili laughed. "as sweet and sugar-coated as this might be... I cannot grant that request at all. I do not trust someone so hungry for power--for the last time I did, it nearly cost me my life. I do not see a reason to start a conflict with a man that I both know and trust. He is not an aggressive individual..." Meili knew all about Tarek's methods of firebending, and how rather than fueled by rage, it was fuelled by control. While it might have seemed like a passive stance to take, she also knew that he was one of the most powerful firebenders in the world. In fine, she was having none of it. "there is nothing to gain from the Fire Nation that they would not want to come back and reclaim within a few years... and then I would fall into infamy the same way that Firelord Novai did when he tried taking over my Kingdom." she explained, "and while I cannot say I understand the motives and workings of our current avatar, she always seems to be at least 5 steps ahead of the world... And something tells me she would be more than okay with putting my head on a plate like she did with the last corrupt rulers of this world, be they Earth Kingdom or Fire Nation. To the queen, this just seemed like common sense to not pick a fight that she wasn't prepared to invest in for years at a time or something. Maybe she was just missing something though?

Youta Zhu	"If it succeeded, no one would be able to oppose you" Youta said in a deadpan voice "but if you did fail you would certainly die and your kingdom might crumble". Youta wasn't going to lie and he doubted that coming to the Earth Queen with his plans would work but he had to at least take a risk. He'd have to try a different route it seemed if he wanted to start a war. It didn't really matter who started it or who won it but Youta felt that it would certainly make things 'more interesting'. War would lead to governments falling and their cities falling and that would be when he could swoop in and claim what he wanted. His plan if it succeeded would have granted him power but it was not the best way to get what he wanted. He still had plenty of years left in his life to try and accomplish his goals though. For now, he'd take it slow. Youta did a mocking-type bow towards the Earth Queen and his joking grin returned to his face. "It's high risk, high reward your majesty. I will not press this matter further." He said calmly in his usual voice as he prepared to leave "If you do have any massive parties please do remember to invite me. The women of Ba Sing Se do seem to have a certain quality others lack"
