Shi-Hao Ni Kaihua

Nodding, the heiress lead Isi back toward the side of the store, where there seemed to be dozens of little doors. "Right through here," Shi-Hao explained, pulling one of the doors open, "... are the changing parlors." Not 'changing rooms', but 'changing parlors', because rich people.

The parlor had a love-seat, a small coffee table with a small covered tray perched on top, a ceiling fan and a little area that had been modestly sealed off with curtains, behind which was a chair and three-sided mirror. It really was an entire parlor for trying on clothes (or watching your friends try on their clothes).

Moving over to the sofa and taking a seat, Shi-Hao smiled at Isi, nodding toward the curtains. "I won't peek," She promised with a slight playful wink, "But you'll show me once you're dressed, right?"

"ahhhh... mah bad." Isikiro half-chuckled. rich people and their fanciful terms. it was a fancy room, but a room nonetheless, so shouldn't it just be a changing room? or was that deliberately to throw off the poorer folks like her?  Either way... her mouth dropped when she saw just how magnificent it truly was. It was almost as big as the shack they had lived in before the move. well... maybe not, but who was comparing at this point?

Isi shrugged. "Ah think y'saw it all anyhoo after Ah wuz dun' with th'healin'." she shrugged. she honestly didn't remember, as the mineral baths and everything else in between had been so wonderful she had not really kept track of if she had had the towel on or not after the healing. Well... and she had kind of bared herself to Shi-Hao when she showed her her back and its new lack of scars. Oh well.

To cut a long story short, there was a bit of muttering and some low cursing as Isi got dressed. (the underwear alone made her feel different--it was lacy, and showed off so much), but eventually, she wobbled out, a little unstable on the heels. But, she couldn't back down now. she just needed to learn the technique.
"h-how d'I look?" she asked her friend, a sheepish smile on her visage as she stood in place.

During the rounds of cursing, Shi-Hao had offered her assistance, but it was politely declined, and thus she made no move to get up. When her friend reemerged, however, she was shaking on those heels (which the heiress honestly should have expected). "Are you alright?" She asked again, starting to stand. Thankfully Isi hadn't toppled over yet, or anything.

The dress, however, was very nice! The wrapped v-neck definitely helped bring focus to her neckline, while the belt at her waist seemed to give her hips accentuation as well. The silver and black were perfect for her, as well, giving the right air of elegance and allure. Shi-Hao would tell her those things as soon as she was convinced that Isi didn't need help staying upright in those shoes.

DEspite the muttering curses, Isi was actually polite about her declinations ("Naw... Ah... Ah got it..."). Really, it might have been just as simple as telling the girl that it was like standing on her tiptoes, to resolve the heels problem. Otherwise, she was kind of standing with her legs spread a bit to keep balance. Nothing suggestive, and the dress skirts still covered everything anyways, since she was on her feet rather than her back.

Luckily, Isi managed to stable herself in the meantime while her feet tried to figure out the shoes, and so she smiled at Shi-Hao's compliments. "th-thank'ee." she noted all the details that Shi-Hao pointed out, rather humbled but delighted to know that she looked so lovely right now.
"also... uhm... ques'tn. Hadaya stand 'n these shoes, uh?" she had her feet almost comically paart, but surely there had to be a secret to them. thousands of women wore them after all, and if this girl could delve thousands of feet underground and pound the coal out of rocks, she could wear a fancy pair of shoes, dammit!

"Well, it's just like walking on tiptoe," Shi-Hao began moving a bit closer and offering her hand to Isi, for the other girl to steady herself, "Just walk with much smaller steps than you would normally, at first, to get the feel for it. If you aren't used to it, walking like this might stress out your calf muscles a bit..." Which would lead to a charlie horse, which was never fun. Ever.

As Isi relaxed and started to hobble and then walk around the room, the heiress gave her plenty of encouragement. She wasn't half bad, really; just obviously inexperienced (which made sense, all things considered). "How do they feel?" Shi-Hao did ask, curiously.

Isi had not exactly walked in her tiptoes a whole lot, but this revelation did seem to be what she needed. Well, and reducing the lengths of her steps. She was trying to continue her long, loping strides that she took in regular boots, and so correcting that made her take much better steps. Also, luckily for Isi, she had very solid legs and ankles. While she had considerable upper-body strength for a woman, she was also certainly not top-heavy--just more of a square shape with a very athletic build.

Slowly, she started to show improvement, and wasn't wobbling anymore, so it was not likely that she'd damage her ankles, thank goodness. At Shi-Hao's question, she smiled. "they work," she nodded, "Ah feel a bit diff'rent 'round m'calves tho... 'n mah, erm... butt." yes, she was aware of the tightened muscles here, even if she didn't realize that that was part of the point of heels in the first place.
"but other'n that... now what?" she didn't think it ended here.

Shi-Hao laughed at the comment about Isi's butt, commenting, "Most women are trying for that sort of feeling - or, rather, the appearance of a tighter butt - when they wear heels." Such a reveal might amuse the other girl, but that was the reason for high heeled shoes...

Other than this, the young heiress really had nothing planned. She really didn't need to do any of her own shopping (though she would pay for Isi's dress, of course), and so she asked, "Would you like a shorter dress, to wear in a more casual situation?" She didn't know if Isi would even wear a dress, if not in her company, but it was worth asking.

"oh..." she paused, and then her eyes widened as if having an epiphany. "...ohhhhhh." It made her blush too. Given her rather firm and muscular build, Isikiro did have a rather nice butt that was only further enhanced by those heels... sooner or later someone might grab it. She took a few more steps around, getting more accustomed to the heels. her walk was much slower and more careful than it had been in her boots or sandals, but she was not putting bad stress on her ankles. (the heels were a reasonable height; not too tall or too short).

At the question, Isi stopped and thought about it. "well... Ah do have th'one Ah wuz wearin' b'efore Ah got changed, raht?" she smiled, "if Ah kin have that one, Ah think Ah should be okay..."
She paused, "Not that ah'd nes'sarily mahnd gettin' anuther purdy dress 'r nutin'... jus' that Ah dun wanna get too much... y've already run so much f'er me t'day alone..." she was grateful, and her humbleness was kicking in. she hoped that she wasn't being greedy.

"That one's already yours, silly," Shi-Hao replied with a fond smile, "Remember that today was my idea - I offered, after all, so you're not allowed to feel guilty over what I've chosen to give you. That's the only thing that might offend me... okay?" Maybe not offend, but it would make her sad, since she truly did now consider Isi as her friend and want to share what she had...

Little did the other girl know, but the heiress had gotten things for her family as well, so that they wouldn't possibly feel left out of the experience that their older sister (or daughter) had gotten to have. That package full of necklaces and watches was, in fact, for Isi's brothers, sister and mother.

But, for now, she chose to be honest. "I'm done for today, I think, if you're sure that two dresses are alright for now," Shi-Hao admitted, "The spa was my main goal for today, and finding you a nice outfit or two. I'm glad you liked the one I had picked out for you..." Meaning, of course, the dress that Isi had walked into the shop wearing.

"Ah know, Ah know..." Isi admitted, lowering her head as if to admit that she was wrong. "jus... This 'all probably worth more'n all th'money Ah've made in m'life. Ah'm... jus' a bit ov'rwelm'd, t'be honest."
she composed herself. "but a'raht. Ah won't feel guilty... m'family's safe, so Ah don' think they'd be jealous ither..." she had no idea about the jewelery being for them, or the explosive outburst of humble emotions that would ensue from the reveal. This was probably for the best though, because it might have even made Isi tear up.

of course, the house was a huge change for them, and they were probably still trying to adjust to it, while Isi was off working (or in this case, being girly with Shi-Hao. if she was getting paid for this (albeit in clothes and fancy things), well... this would be an interesting new life she'd be leading, to say the least. they'd all look a bit different, since there were new clothes for them at the cottage too--maybe not perfect, but definitely still good enough. Isi's clothes had been hand-me-downs from her father of all people, so anything else would still be good (though she might keep the old things for sentimental purposes--the life her poor father was never able to have now).

"a'raht," Isi smiled, "Maybe we 'kin do this again sum'tahm soon?" she asked hopefully, for there was hardly such thing as too many clothes, as Isi was discovering. "thank'ee 'ginn, bah th'way," she added, throwing her arms around Shi-Hao in a shameless but sincere hug, her eyes watery.
"thank'ee so much..."

Shi-Hao Ni Kaihua

Hugging her new friend tightly in return, Shi-Hao whispered a small "you're welcome". Perhaps it was because of how the young heiress wished that she could be all the time, but she had grown more attached to Isi (someone Society claimed to be far beneath her, as a person) than she had to anyone else in a long time... and so quickly, too. She wanted to help the poor girl, whose only fault had been her loyalty to her family - no fault at all, in Shi-Hao's opinion.

"Let's go home," she added with a smile, nodding back at the dressing curtains, "If you want to get your other things back on, I'll take care of our standing debt." That made Shi-Hao laugh slightly, since all she had to do was tell the shop manager that she was taking something, and it would be taken care of without question. Not that Isi knew that, of course. The clothes would then be packed up for the trip, so that they would remain clean.

Their carriage would be waiting for them once again, of course, and be ready to whisk them off back to the estate within a moment's notice.

As simple as it was... it was enough to give the young coal miner a well-deserved dose of comfort. She didn't say it (not wanting to gush too much more in front of her new friend), but Shi-Hao had probably literally saved her family's lives. That was a debt she could never repay.

"Mm'kay..." she smiled weakly, her eyes still pink from the near-crying she had done. "Ah'll go do that..."
And so she did, although after Shi-Hao disappeared, she removed her clothing slowly. She first slipped out of the dress before checking herself out in her underwear. she was trying to glance around at her backside and thighs, seeing if the heels really did enhance them,,, which they kind of did.
the rest of her clothing came off soon after, and for a moment, Isi was just gazing in aw at... well, at her new body. It almost seemed foreign to think that this body was hers... that it was free of all the scars, cuts, bruises, grime, muck, and filth that had plagued it for so long...
she didn't have too much of a curvy figure, instead having a more square, solidly-built form with an athletic muscle tone. Not that she minded any of that... just that it told a bit about her life--her solid thighs showing off her power as an earthbender, and her broad shoulders indicating that she was a brawler with considerable upper body strength for a woman.

Once she had changed into her little dress and sandals again though, Isi raced out to catch up with Shi again. once everything was squared away, she was back in the carriage with her new friend, after a fantastic, and literally life-changing--day.

Their ride back was quiet, but comfortable. Soon they had reached the edge of the estate and had been ushered through the front gates. "Take us to the guest cottage, please," Shi-Hao remarked to the driver, who directed the horses down the side road immediately, toward the home where Isi's family was.

"I'll make sure that you're safely inside, and that everything is still okay with your family, before I take my leave," Shi-Hao mentioned with a smile, "If they need anything - supplies, comforts, anything - all they, or you, have to do is ask." She would make sure that it was provided.

They were at the front door in no time, even though the cottage was a little ways away from the main Ni Kaihua home. Alighting from the carriage, the young heiress made sure that Isi had her packages before following her to the entrance of the small home.

Isikiro Sherazi Anazalrok

Isikiro was very quiet on the way home, mostly just emotionally overwhelmed and at a loss for words. It had been so wonderful... it was almost like a dream. She actually shuddered a bit. Part of her was almost suddenly worried that she'd suddenly jolt awake and find herself on her dark, bloodstained bed, realizing that the dark filth of their old shack was still her reality, and that in a few hours she'd pull herself up, throw her clothes on and stump off towards the mines to bust her ass for the day, worrying that her crippled mother and 3 younger siblings would be dead when she got home, from starvation or something of the sort.

And yet... nothing. Nothing stood out as unusual; there was no haze, no weird noises...nothing. This was real. it was very, very, delightfully real. It brought an emotional smile to the girl's face, and thus she was quiet once more.
"Ah... alrighty... Ah'll make sure 'n tell 'em." Isi's own needs might not get shared so quickly (unless her mother said something), but she'd make sure to tell Shi-Hao anything that her mother or siblings needed. They wanted for little, given their origins, so as long as they had food and shelter, they would probably be rather happy.

they were certainly happy when they were greeted by their oldest sister/daughter. The whole family was all cleaned up, and dressed in fairly nice clothing as well. there was a wave of excitement, and the fast-paced stumping her her mother Kyla's crutches was heard as she scrambled to see her eldest little baby all cleaned up.

It was a heartwarming moment to say the least. She practically fell into Isi's arms (where she was supported of course, since she did actually drop her crutches) and she just began sobbing rather frantically into Isi's shoulder. Isi felt that no words were necessary at the moment, and so she held her, rubbing her back.
"Ah...m... sor... sorreh..." were some of the only words Kyla was able to mutter at the moment. "f'er... f'er ev..."
Isi silenced her with a gentle "sssh...."
"Ah'm okay now, ma..." she whispered in a somber but beautiful moment, "th'nahtmair's over... f'er all've us..."

Shi-Hao Ni Kaihua

Though tears were springing to her eyes, Shi-Hao could clearly see that this was a touching family moment... and she was the interloping outsider, though of course the family in question would never say so. Thus, she decided to quietly excuse herself for now, and made plans to check in on the happy little family tomorrow morning, around breakfast time.

Shi-Hao did, however, remember to set down the brown paper bag that she had carried into the house with her. It held the gifts for Isi's mother, sister and brothers - along with a note explaining just that, which had been filled out on a notecard at the boutique, like a gift note. Knowing that her presence would not be missed, however, due to the circumstances, the young heiress slipped out the door from which she'd entered, gently clicking it shut behind her.

"Let's go," She smiled at the carriage driver, making her way back inside. She wasn't upset with the lack of reception, by any means - the family deserved this happiness and this privacy, even from her, right now.

Isikiro Sherazi Anazalrok

Isikiro might have actually encouraged Isi to stay for the moment if she was aware of her surroundings, but at the moment, even her siblings stayed in awed silence as Isikiro lifted her mother into her arms, stepping back and setting her on a table, if they had been lovers, it might have been sexual, but this... no this was to get her off her feet... even in those clothes, she could tell that Kyla was not any better off as far as being able to walk again, and that hurt her. She wondered if she could ever fix that... or find someone to fix it. She would need financial support though, and up till recently, that had just been something they did not ever have.

Needless to say, after the moment had passed and the gift bag had been opened... they were all overwhelmed all over again at Shi-Hao's downright benevolence. There was no better word to describe that really, and so Isi didn't even bother finding one. And of course, that night, they all ate an enormous meal--not out of indulgence or decadence, but because honestly... they had only eaten one other meal like that in their lives, and it had been earlier that morning. It wasn't even that much, actually--just that they were all so used to eating next to nothing that it felt like a feast.

Life was good... surprisingly. It had turned around so quickly. But... now that Isikiro's broken life was repaired, she turned to her mother. Surely there was something she could now do to save her, just as Shi-Hao had done to save Isi.
