Ruki Nakamura	As she bade him a simple greeting, he laughed, his mask moving slightly. She smiled back, warmly, her heart finally slowing to a normal pace. "Did you sleep well?" he asked, his accent becoming quite familiar to her ears by this point. She nodded; "wonderfully, actually. What of you?" she returned, a hint of the warm smile still there. She looked up as she felt a few raindrops find home on her skin. "Umm...it's about to storm, and we need to land. I guess we'll be visiting Ba Sing Se." He said, to which her eyes lit up. Ba Sing Se? She'd always wanted to see the famous capital of her homeland. As he left, probably to adjust a few things to take them to the ground, she stood and put her jacket back on, leaning on the wicker basket and catching a few raindrops in her hand. He came back down soon enough though, and turned before deciding to ask a question or two. She couldn't help contain her excitement. "Have you been to Ba Sing Se before, Hocus?" she asked happily, her gray eyes warm and excited as she watched the ground get closer and closer from the corner of her eye. The balloon was a wonderful thing to her as well; she only hoped she could learn about how it worked in due time.

Hocus	After a bit of silence as the balloon decided, Ruki piped up. "Have you been to Ba Sing Se before, Hocus?" she asked. He could hear the excitement in her voice and it made him smile. "Lots of times. Lots and lots and lots of times." he said vaguely. It was the largest city in the world, so it had the largest amount of ancient, magical artifacts, family heirlooms, and rare pieces of history. It also had the largest amount of supplies, and the biggest black market. He often came here when he needed food or fuel, trading any of his rare items that he no longer fancied. The balloon was nearly landing on top of a tall building, and Hocus went back up the ladder to direct it into a farm by the gate. No need to get in trouble with any sort of city police. They'd enter through the lower ring and work their way up, so they could see the whole city. They'd buy fuel in the middle ring on the way back. It would be a nice relaxing day trip, hopefully. Once they landed, Hocus went to his food supply, packed a few things, opened a box full of money and grabbed some of that too. It was easier to buy things with cash, and he didn't want to bore Ruki with the long process of bartering. Plus they might want to stop at a restaurant, so they could really experience Ba Sing Se. It would be fun. The rain picked up, and it was beginning to change from a sprinkle to a full-on drizzle. "Oh!" Hocus said, remembering two rare parasols he'd picked up from an old sage in a fire nation village. They were black with golden ribbons of color twisting up their surface. He made his way back to Ruki, handed her an umbrella, and asked, "You ready?"

Ruki Nakamura	"Lots of times. Lots and lots and lots of times." came his response to which Ruki smiled at; she couldn't think of a better place in the entire world to be. Ba Sing Se had always been her biggest dream--probably because she never fathomed that she'd actually make it there. Dreams were funny like that. She watched as the massive city lay before them, wonderfully breathtaking. They were getting closer to a large building, almost landing on top of it, and she turned to see Hocus disappear up the ladder to change the course. She watched as the balloon lightly landed on some sort of farm property, right outside the large walls of the wonderful city. From this angle, she could no longer see the glorious city within. She looked up as the rain increased, smiling slightly as she buttoned her jacket up completely. It was slightly cold, although not severely so; she stopped examining the outside as she heard Hocus' return, handing her a beautifully extravagant umbrella. She took a moment to admire it, then realized that the umbrella was supposed to keep her from getting soaked. She opened it easily enough, smiling at Hocus. "You ready?" he asked. She almost answered immediately, then took a second. This was it. Everything she wanted her life to amount to; here was her moment. The greatest city on Earth, she was finally here. The idea made her take a moment to wrap her head around, then she smiled. "Heck yeah!" came the slightly over-excited response.

Hocus	Hocus's worries about Ruki had melted by now. She was obviously incredibly excited to be here and seemed to have a heart for adventure. Travelling just might be her calling. She opened her umbrella, and when Hocus asked if she was ready, she gave a surprising, almost startling, "Heck yeah!" Hocus laughed lightly at how excited she was. "Well alright then, let's be off." He walked to a roped-off door on the bottom floor, undid the knot that held it in place, and stepped onto the farmland they were occupying. The gate was not far, and a short walk up to a guard was all it took. "Do you have permission to land on that property, sir?" a guard asked, eyeing Hocus's mask and clothes with a cocked eyebrow. "Yes." Hocus said simply. And he walked passed the guard. It was after the harvest, so he technically wasn't doing any damage. The guard was too bewildered by Hocus's looks and the air about him that he did not speak up further. Hocus waved Ruki forward, and led her into the lower ring. The normally dirty streets did not take to rain so well. Muddy water streaked down the sloping road, and the poor all around looked more destitute than usual. Some of them eyed Ruki's dressy clothes and the fancy umbrella and sneered at her. They were all too freaked out by Hocus to actually approach though. "Welcome to Ba Sing Se." Hocus said to Ruki. He didn't realize how sarcastic this may have come off.

Ruki Nakamura	As Hocus chuckled lightly, Ruki turned a light shade of pink under the olive of her skin. Perhaps she was a bit TOO excited, but she really couldn't help it; she felt like she had just escaped the chains and ties that held her to her previous life, and the freedom was exhilerating. "Well alright then, let's be off," he said, to which she smiled happily, twirling the parasol a little above her head, sending out little droplets of water. She followed him like a lost puppy as they approached the gate, staying slightly behind him as they came to a guard. "Do you have permission to land on that property, sir?" The man asked, eyeing Hocus and barely passing a glance towards her. "Yes." Hocus merely said, to which she almost burst aloud with laughter, but she managed to hide her face underneath the umbrella and remain silent. Obviously it was a lie, one that she found quite funny, too. She would never have thought to do something such as that. The guard didn't speak again, giving Hocus another strange look and moving slightly to the side. Hocus waved her on, and Ruki took a quick steps to comply. She followed him into the lower ring, and her eyes widened further, taking it all in. She was completely breathless. Her little green velvet flats didn't take well to the mud, but she didn't mind it one bit. Those around them looked very poor and dirty though, and she looked at them concern creasing her brow, not knowing what to do. Many of them looked at her and gave her rude looks; she ignored this. She understood why, and merely passed a kind smile to them all. She was glad for Hocus though, who always remained in her peripheal vision as she examined the houses and streets and people of Ba Sing Se's lower ring. "Welcome to Ba Sing Se." His accented voice said, interrupting what was almost trance-like as she cast her eyes upon the place of her dreams. She merely smiled, in spite of the irony. "It's amazing," she said quietly, knowing that there was much, much more that they could see.

Hocus	Hocus smiled beneath his mask when Ruki quietly revealed her amazement. This wasn't even the good part yet, and she was already pleased. He was very excited to show her the grand parts of the city, which loomed ahead like a rich cloud. The Lower Ring was the largest of the three in terms of size, but the walk did not seem to take all that long. Hocus' strange aura did seem to push other people away. The crowds seemed to part as the two passed. Hocus was very used to this sort of phenomena, but he wasn't sure how Ruki would take to it. She must be interested in meeting new people in her travels, but with Hocus here, this sort of goal could be difficult to achieve. While there was certain people, like Ruki, whose curiosity got the better of them, for the most part, Hocus was very used to being left alone. It didn't exactly bother him though, and as they walked into the Middle Ring, Hocus was more worried about this treatment for Ruki's sake. Could she handle suddenly being treated like scum? Of course, Ruki could leave at any time, so Hocus was actually worried that Ruki would go because no one would want to talk to her with Hocus around. It was a semi-complicated situation, but Ruki didn't seem to be taking notice. She was too interested in the surroundings. The Middle Ring brought its own flavor to the table, and the streets became far cleaner. The homes and businesses gradually grew more respectable, and the vendors became cleaner and cleaner as they went. Hopefully Ruki would realize how truly amazing the city was now, he looked at her expectantly and said, "So what do you wanna do?"

Ruki Nakamura	Ruki trailed after Hocus slowly, occasionally deviating to peer into shop windows or look down other streets for a moment. Her large gray eyes widened in wonder, and she took on the slight appearance of a newborn fawn taking in its surroundings. Those near them seemed to shrink away as they passed, to which she was slightly confused, and then understood: Hocus. She was actually very appreciative of his presence in that moment; she was a small town kinda girl and didn't know how to handle strangers. While she was very interested in these peoples, she felt more comfortable in learning about their histories and pasts in library books rather than right from the source. She wasn't antisocial, but she also wasn't an outgoing social butterfly as most seemed to think. Perhaps with time the homely, shy girl in her would hide away and she could be more herself, but this was her first time away from home ever. On top of that, it was the largest city in the world and she almost felt as though she'd be overwhelmed with excitement from it all. She was even more overwhelmed as everything began gradually changing; the dirt paths became cobble-stoned paved roads and the buildings didn't have more than one broken window if any at all. Even the people seemed less broken. Her eyes couldn't widen anymore, but her smile certainly did. Pretty soon she was grinning from ear to ear with delight, eyes huge, and cheeks flushed from excitement. Hocus' voice cut across her frantic desire to absorb it all at once. "So what do you wanna do?" He asked, to which she turned and looked at him, her huge smile of excitement and wonder changing to one of fondness. "Anything! Everything!" was her immediate response, and then she took a second to actually think. "Uhm...what do you suggest?" she asked after a moment, her already pink cheeks going slightly darker as she blushed further for being so....Ruki.

Hocus	Hocus didn't know how to interpret the blush that formed on Ruki's face, so he simply ignored it. She seemed to be ready for anything in this exciting city! Meanwhile, Hocus knew exactly what he was ready for. He went through his head, thinking of every antique shop in town, wondering which one might contain the item his compass was pointing toward. He checked it slyly, trying to hide it from Ruki as he took it out of his shirt pocket. With the general direction in mind, Hocus gestured for Ruki to follow him. A transformation in his emotion was beginning, as he starved for the thing he'd been looking for this entire detour. He would no long come off as friendly and amiable like he had been the rest of the trip. It was unlikely Ruki would get much of a response out of him on the way there. The Silver Dragon Antique Shop came into view after about a five minute walk. It was a middle ring shop which accommodated a small room which was filled with stacks and stacks of items that were at least fifty years old. It was very hard to interpret the clutter inside. Hocus was less subtle about the compass as he used it peruse the countless items. It led him to a shining chandelier that took up almost half a shelf of space and looked like it might fall on the floor if it were put off balance at all. Hocus went up to the shopkeeper to barter prices.
