Kei	"Pshh, as if." Kei remarked, "We definitely don't call a Primal Fire Benders 'Ordinary'. Anyone who has the Fire power to blow up a building would be considered scary." Kei didn't actually know how strong Katara was, but he knew that Primal Fire Benders had strengths in raw power. "Perhaps," Kei added, "But winners always end up fighting amongst themselves in order to become the 'real' winner. At this point, conflicts usually get bloody and such. If you ask me, getting away with as little as damage as possible is the best choice and in the end, the losers are the real winners." Perhaps this reflected Kei's personality pretty well. Why fight when you don't have to? If it prevents unnecessary pain and conflict, you could walk away saying you did the right thing.

Z. Katara Len	"Oh, please..." Katara groaned, "you act like we're ticking time-bombs waiting to go off. Well... we ain't. We just have a dangerously high amount of power to process and control. It happens to the best of us." She might have gotten a little cocky there, but Katara had developed an interesting sense of sarcasm while dealing with this man who acted like a boy. "Nah... a real winner knows when to walk away with the money, thus preventing their winning streak from being interrupted. It's a matter of knowing when to play and when to fold. Trust me... I don't fight unless there's no other choice." Just to make sure that that myth about her was debunked. She was not a very aggressive creature, despite her insane power.

Kei	"Sadly," Kei told her, "I feel it's a terrible curse, having to live with a difficult to control power that could hurt those close to you if you're not careful." Kei paused for a moment to let the thought sink in, then he added, "Truth be told, I'm honestly surprised that you revealed your identity as Primal Fire Bender. I figured you had to watch out for certain people who are after talents such as yours." "Hey hey hey," Kei quickly told her, "Don't pull the 'I don't fight if unnecessary' stick on me. You still punched me in the face earlier. That's most definitely how you start a fight. Thankfully, I'm to hungry to bother to do anything about it, so no fight ever did break out."

Clearly we knew each other in a past life." she was familiar with why it was called a curse, and with how people had come for her because of it. Obviously she had evaded them given her current status as 'alive'. "oh, can it." Katara punched him playfully in the arm, "you deserved it, and I had exhausted my reasonable peaceful options. I'm no pushover." she stuck her tongue out teasingly. if there was anything this girl had left, it was a streak of pride. She had been beaten but not broken; struck but not knocked down. she planned to keep it that way.

I get it mixed up." the conversation had devolved fairly quickly, but at the same time, Katara was still enjoying it for whatever silly reason. "really now?" she raised an eyebrow at his last remark. "well how about a date then? just you and me? we can apologize and make up for all of this." she was not being 100% serious with this offer, but if he took it... well heck. who knows where it would take them?"

Kei	"I don't mean to brag or anything, but me? Couple thousand times." Kei said pretty monotone, "My knowledge is pretty vast, but nobody ever comes to me for guidance." A date? This was a sudden turn of events that Kei was not ready for. He was unsure if Katara was trying to come on to him or something, but eventually, nah, perhaps she just really felt bad. A part of him seriously doubted that, but what's the harm? As long as he wouldn't pay for anything, none... right? "Sure, why not?" Kei told her then added somewhat jokingly, "If it means less pain, surely that's a good thing?"

"oh come on, you're not suffering... relax. Katara only hit him playfully most of the time, or when he deserved it. she was certainly not abusive like Kei was making her out to be. as for the date... who said anything about doing something that costs money? "so... know of any good places to go, or should we just take a walk?"

My greatest enjoyment in life is bad for it." "As for a place to go," Kei continued, "How about the park? I mean sure, in a way, it's a bit of a tourist trap, but as long as we don't stop by any of the concession stands, I should be fine."

"it sounds like your doctors have been spending too much time with the Swamp Tribe medicine men... they don't happen to be from down there, do they?" she had heard the stories, and had met some of these eccentric people herself. they weren't that bad--just a little weird. "Alright... park sounds good to me." she smiled, swaying her hips as she stood up to stretch. "did you want to lead the way? I'm not exactly a very good leader you know. being blind and all..." she could still sense her way around and such without trouble, but she felt it'd be better for Kei to lead.

Kei consistently reminded Katara of a teenager, and so maybe that was where she was getting and making these assumptions. "no, no... terrible things happen when I lead." Katara indicated, "the nest thing I know I'm dead in a ditch without any pants. I don't want a repeat of that again..." she did stand up though, her blank eyes gazing Kei's way.

Kei also stood up, ready to leave the party whenever the duo would finally take off.

When she brought up her age and maturity, Kei replied, "Not really persuading you know. That's what all teenagers say and that basically anything that doesn't include drugs or sex is uninteresting. Let me tell you, the trick to life is to convince yourself that you like and find everything interesting. It makes it all easier." "Psh, as if." Kei said casually, "I've learned to not invite pushy woman to my house for the night. Sure, the night is fun and all, but then you wake up the next day missing your wallet and left shoe. Not cool at all."

She had met kids half his age with twice the skill, and she felt that he had about half as much charisma as a dead slug, and about as much mental maturity as a teenaged swampbender. "Fine. we can go back to my place then, you big baby." she elbowed him playfully. "sheesh..." she wasn't even sure that they'd get anywhere, but half the fun was the conversation itself.

Kei	"I'd be good at ruling a kingdom. Sitting around doing nothing since all of my subjects would be doing stuff for me. Sadly, there isn't a market for that." Kei replied casually. "Well, it's probably much better than my place at least. Truth be told, since I arrived in Ba Sing Se, I've been living out on the streets. Hotels are expensive you know?" Kei didn't mention that he had actually been living out on his airship which was currently on the outskirts of the city mostly because he didn't like to reveal such facts to people. He felt it was safer that way. "Well anyways," Kei said jokingly, "Lead on. I shall follow... unless you're leading me to somewhere like hell, which in that case, I jumping off this train now."
