Despite Meiya's charming appearance, Meiya is not very welcoming to strangers. She comes of as cold and harsh, hissing insults rather then trying to befriend anyone. Meiya is stubborn and defensive, never letting anyone in and rarely trusting a soul. Having losing her father at such a young age, Meiya thought it was easier to avoid growing close to someone, then losing someone she loved. Meiya is an opinionated young lady who sees the cup as half empty rather then half full.

Although she seems rough around the edges, Meiya is a sensitive soul. She shows her softer side when she is dealing with her younger siblings, being patient ans less hot headed then usual. Meiya is passionate, passionate for her firebending...and Passionate for her dancing. Once she is surrounded by the beat of thrilling music, she becomes a happy, graceful and erotic young woman.


Abilities: Meiya discovered she was born with the ability to firebend at the age of six. It was a shock to her father and mother, since there had not been a firebender in their family for four generations. Having no one in her family to teach her, Her skills are quite weak. She can create and control a flame, but that is the most she can do at this point.

She does, however, incorporate her firebending into her dancing. She forms fans of flames and fire, casting eerie and dazzling shadows as she moves in perfect time with the music. Even though her firebending isn't very strong, her hand to hand combat skills are very advanced. She is flexible and can take a lot of hits, her dancing helping her to be light on her feet.

Meiya is also known to 'seduce' her male oppositions, throwing them of with suggestive comments and flirting, even though she never carries out her statements. Meiya is not much of a flirt in everyday situations, preferring her own company over others.

Meiya could be classed as very beautiful, with her soft yet angled features and curvy figure. She has a dark, long hair which she keeps out and loose, her locks falling like a silk curtin to her lower back. Despite her grandmother saying she would never fully develop, Meiya grew very quicky into a very large chested woman with dancer's hips and long legs. Her older cousins used to make fun of her breasts, since they grew very full so quicky. So 'busty' was a common nick name for her. Being a firebender and a dancer Meiya's body is very toned and sturdier then it looks. Her eyes, however are a very harsh gold colour, never looking warm like they did when she was a child. Her mother describes her eyes as looking beautiful... But lonely.


History:

Meiya wasn't always the recluse she is today. As a child Meiya was happy, living with her mother, father and younger siblings. Her father was a famous actor, performing at the ember island players and other popular events. He would take her along to rehearsals and taught her to sing, act, and dance. Out of everyone she knew her father was her best friend. At the age of six Meiya discovered she was a firebender. No one else in her family had this ability, so she only mastered the basics on her own.

For as long as she could remember, dancing had been her passion, and her father was extremely enthusiastic about her continuing to exercise her talent. But the year she turned twelve, her life took a turn for the worse. One day walking home from a late night show, Meiya's father was brutally stabbed to death by her family's doorstep. Meiya's world was crushed. She slipped into a deep depression she never really truly recovered from. To aviod the pain that she experienced, she vowed to never care for someone besides her family.

Money grew scarce for her mother and siblings, so as the oldest child Meiya had to leave school and begin working. She went though a lot of jobs, but none seemed to ever pay enough or last that long. She lost many of her friends, and she grew colder and harsher towards people by the minute.

When she turned 17 however, a job came up which payed a decent amount, as well as it being a way to explore her talent. She became a dancer for a club in the shadier side of ember island. It wasn't the dancing job she always dreamed of, but she quickly adapted and became quite popular. Still she remained distant, saving up enough many to leave ember island and travel, longing to leave the place that caused her great pain.
