Abasi Khuchtei	"That doesn't surprise me. The fact that you were so determined is quite the laudable trait." he replied, "I'll do my best to do the same during my time here." He recognized how lucky he was to be assigned as Kyorin's partner on his first mission, and of course, he intended to take full advantage of the opportunity. Abasi had tasted the venom of defeat more times than one, and each time he rose better than he'd been previously. This wasn't a drug bust, or a routine stop-and-frisk. This was the big leagues, an opportunity to really put his skills to the test. Abasi flashed a taut smile when his protégé mentioned battling. Fantastic... This meant that he'd get to show off the skills he'd acquired over the years. More importantly, though, he'd catch a glimpse of what was required to be the Queen's personal bodyguard. He couldn't imagine that Kyorin was a slouch.

OOC: Time skip to camp? Lot's of traveling ahead of them, I don't want three pages of just that. xD

Kyorin	Kyorin nodded his head at Abasi confirming that he would try his best. Good, now that that was out of the way, time to get some shut eye. He hadn't had a good outside sleep in weeks. "Watch out for anything Abasi, including berry bushes or places to set up camp." Kyorin told him with his eyes closed. "Oh! and any questions you have, don't be afraid to wake me." He added as a side note. He knew that he shouldn't be doing such a thing, especially on a road like this. But this was an assessment for Abasi, not Kyorin. If Abasi was qualified, he would be able to take over from here. Then he fell asleep.

Abasi Khuchtei	He nodded and gave Kyorin the 'okay' symbol with one hand. Before he knew it, the man was asleep. He let out a gentle sigh, taking the reins of Kyorin's hound so he could guide the beast in a straight path. So far, so good. he thought to himself. He was certain that he'd made a good first impression. Tomorrow he'd have the chance to put his skills on display. More importantly, he'd get to see Kyorin in action. Abasi recalled a recent battle with a woman named Isikiro. He wondered if he would pose the same challenge that she had. If so, he was really going to enjoy himself. He looked around in search of an ideal camping spot, but the land was barren as far as the eye could see. I'll just make us a shelter, then. When the earthbender tugged on the reins, and his steed gradually slowed its gait until it reached a complete stop; the same went for Kyorin's. He kicked one leg over the saddle and landed on the ground with dull thud. After selecting the most desirable spot, Abasi lifted his hands toward the sky as if he were paying obeisance to some higher being. The ground trembled under the weight of his influence. The dust and loose rocks that blanketed its surface fled as mother earth was torn asunder to make way for the emerging half-dome. With the massive, overarching monument in place, Abasi erected a three-foot wall to line the entrance in case they needed a battlement. The commotion was likely loud enough to wake Kyorin up, but if not, he would wake him up himself. "The encampment has been established, sir." There was even a small post with which to secure their animals.

Kyorin	Sleep went relatively well. It was a nice pace that the hound was going at, and he felt a slight change in direction. Abasi had grabbed his reins. Well, that was something to mark down. He had a good amount of sleep until he felt his hound slow, then stop. He trained himself to wake at the slightest noise. A door hinge creak, a floorboard squeal, the sssssing! sound of a blade being drawn. The enormous amount of noise that Abasi had created woke him without problem. But he stayed very still, and kept his breathing normal, like he also trained himself to do. Kyorin waited until Abasi was finished, then walked up to him and informed him about the completion. He opened his eyes and swung out of the saddle at the same time, almost as if he hadn't been asleep in the first place. He stretched, and looked at the place. Then nodded. "Nice job. Even have a wall." Kyorin noted that specifically. So he was a defensive person, making sure we are as safe as possible. He checked the sun's position, just about sun down. "Well, I would say time to make a fire. I reckon you could make a spark with that metal of yours, so let's just gather some wood." From the look of it, the only thing around was just shrubs. Great.

Abasi Khuchtei	Abasi recalled Kyorin saying that he'd already read his file. . .had he forgotten that he could lavabend? He didn't see anything other than a few small bushes while he was setting up camp, so it seemed like their only option. "I could just make a lava pit." he intoned, "It'll be a lot warmer than a fire would be, and it won't be put out if a harsh wind were to blow through." He took a moment to scan his surroundings in search of something they could possibly use for a fire. Dirt and rock were the only things he managed to spot. He let his gaze settle on his partner as he waited for a response.

Kyorin	Kyorin looked over at him and raised an eyebrow. "Well, alright then. As long as you can put it back just the way it was, go for it." he said as he took a few steps away and made the ground turn to sand, then rise up to be a chair, then solidify again. It had the visual affect of bubeling, rising water when it came up out of the ground. Kyorin sat and crossed his legs.
