Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	It made him smile inside, for she was cute, and especially so with that blush. He watched, as if to see her prove herself, but noticed that she was having trouble. He was surprised for a plit-second, and then realized that she had gotten a bit banged up. He doubted that even he could have held such a heavy thing on his arm for that long and still been able to lift it, even without the other injuries. "I can't say I know of a magic fix for something like that," he confessed, "although I do have some proficiency in healing if you wanted to ease some of the pain and loosen your strained arm muscles." he sat down next to her, not necessarily even trying to make a move on her with this offer. Yes, he thought she was adorable, but for a man to be smooth and cunning, he could not blunder on something like this. Besides... at the moment, his primary goal was not a relationship (although perhaps he would not oppose it), . at the moment he just wanted to be able to squeeze her in a bear hug. xD

Minali Otoyome	"Ah need t'get back to th'store," She told him, realizing it herself at the same time she said it, "M'sure th'guards're already there an' wonderin' what's goin' on... Ah gotta get back an' let 'em know it ain't me makin' explosives 'r some such." Running an exasperated hand through those curls, she shifted positions slightly. Bracing herself against the ground once again, using the arm frame as a counterweight, Minali struggled to her feet, her legs shaking from the exertion. While she did manage to keep her knees from buckling, she struggled picking the machine up once again. At the same time, she would stubbornly shake off any offers for assistance; she didn't trust anyone else with her creations. So she stood there for a few minutes, trying to figure out what to do, to get herself home.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	Akhet nodded in understanding, although did not open his mouth again other than perhaps to say "ah". It seemed she did not need (or more accurately, did not want) any help, and so Akhet did not offer it yet. However, he also did not leave her, as he would not feel good with himself about leaving someone in need of help this way--especially not one that cute. So instead, he simply watched her, a neutral, calm expression on his face that hid most, if not all, of his emotions as he watched her continue to struggle, wondering also how she planned to do any of this. What she was attempting given her injured state was not practical, but she didn't look like she was about to do any major damage to herself, and so for now he simply spectated.

Minali Otoyome	Finally steadying herself, standing on her own, Minali managed to swing the large metallic arm frame onto her shoulders, stumbling back only a couple steps under its oppressive weight. Eyes lighting up, she looked quite pleased with herself... Until she took two steps and fell flat on her face when her legs gave out; her machine landing on top of her. She struggled to get out from under it, squirming and twisting, while at the same time hoping to avoid damaging any of the delicate rig joints. "Dangit!" She cursed out, finally squirming out from beneath the heavy metal, sitting on the dusty ground with a huff. Crossing her arms, she peered thoughtfully down at her burden, then briefly up at Akhet. After several moments, her expression crumpled, the determination fading. "...Ah need help," Minali finally spoke again, in a small voice, effectively swallowing any pride that escaped her fall unscathed, "S'too heavy fer me t'carry right now... Could ya help me get home?"

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	Akhet continued to watch her with interest, and he actually smiled when she stood herself up--he was ready to believe that she had done it. It was not that people couldn't surprise him just because he so often surprised people. However, he nearly cringed as she fell and planted on her face. "no problem." he offered,, pulling her up by the hand in such a way that would bring her back to her feet while allowing her to lean either against him or against her machine. "You want to lean on me, or did you want help with that thing?" he had already realized that she was extremely fond of it, and so figured that she might not trust it being in anyone else's hands, which was why he had popped the question the way he did.

Minali Otoyome	Minali continued to hold onto his hand, looking down at her legs, trying to will the shaking away. "Ah can carry it," Her answer came quickly, "If... y'wouldn't mind me hangin' onto ya." It was a statement, rather than a question, though she didn't even look up at him as she said it. The mechanism was not on the ground for long; reaching for it, Minali grunted slightly, hefting it up to tuck it under her arm, supporting most of its weight with her hip. "Awright," She nods, her hand clutching his rather tightly, her brows knit together, "Ah think m'good."

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	Akhet was unfazed, as he was in good physical shape, so her extra weight was bearable. Not comfortable, as carrying heavy weights was never "comfortable", but he certainly was not uncomfortable at all. "Alright then, let's get going. If it gets too difficult for ya... I could probably carry someone cute like you." he chuckled, not necessarily teasing in any way with that. That was just how he acted. He began walking slowly and patiently to allow her to stay against him, and decided to also ask another semi-important question. "Also... do you have any ideas or plans as to how to treat those injuries?" He was not going to toot his own horn, especially since he had already told her that he knew how to heal moderate injuries. He just wanted to know what her plan was, similar to how he had wanted to when the blueprints were stolen.

Minali Otoyome	Shaking her head, Minali tried to keep up with him, griping his arm carefully. Dirt and dust clung to her clothes and scrapes were clear across her arms; the arm which had worn the 'Quake-Fist' had begun to bruise, the black and blue marks marring her skin where ever the machine had pinched or rubbed. "Ah got bandages an' such, but m'not even sure - " She broke off, stopping dead in her tracks, staring at the scene unfolding down the road. Fire Nation guards swarmed around her store; some moving freely in and out of the hole blown in the side while others held civilians back away from the wreckage. "...'Ey!" She couldn't help but shout out, taking a step forward, trying to reach her store, "What're you doin'?!"

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	Akhet's eyes briefly darted over her form, both admiring it and glancing at her various injuries. "Some of those might require a bit more than bandaging." he noted, "in fact I'd dare say--" although what he would dare say was cut off both by Mina and by the scene in front of them. "Hold on a moment," he made sure that she wasn't going to fall flat on her face if he took off, and then he did just that, taking off towards the scene of the crime. "What's all the ruckus?" he asked immediately, and then motioning towards where Minali stood, "I'm with the owner of the store after all... and kind of sort of asking in her behalf." He was not sure how well this story would be bought, but it was worth a try.

	The Guard in question regarded him skeptically for a moment, before glancing back at the young girl, who had slumped down against another shop wall, holding her invention tightly in her arms, looking at the commotion with wide eyes. "We've discerned that the explosion was caused by military grade explosive jelly packs," He informed Akhet, his voice stern, but otherwise emotionless, "All civilians are barred from entry, until we uncover the source." Then, with another look at Ahket and the distraught Minali, he continued, "We'll need a statement from the both of you."

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	Akhet looked mostly unfazed, turning to help guide his new friend(?, perhaps it was too early to say that, but Akhet would not mind befriending such a cute and curvy lady with such a cute little accent) more towards the scene. He opened his mouth, but planned to leave the firsthand explanation to Minali, since he was just a secondhand witness. He doubted that the kid had been the one to set the bombs, and so perhaps felt less reserved about giving an account of what happened. First though, time to see what the curly-haired girl would say, so he would know if he could bend any truth or how.

Minali Otoyome	"Ah was workin' in m'shop, and Ah fell asleep," She begins, her voice a bit dulled by the renewed shock that seeing her shop had given her, "Dunno fer how long, but when Ah woke up, there was someone goin' through m'stuff." That much was fairly vague, but she had professed to just waking up, "Ah yelled... an' then everythin' went dark." Minali then glanced over at Akhet, nodding in his direction, "Ah woke up on th'ground, an' Akhet chased after th'thief fer me; Ah followed a li'l while after." She stopped speaking, then, allowing him to pick up the slack of the story. The guard turned from her to face him instead, waiting for a continuation.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	"The thief's gone," he picked up the story fluidly, "but before he ran off he returned the things that he stole, he nodded towards Minali, who did still have all of her recovered blueprints. "And she's a bit injured, and so I was just helping walk her back so we could get her injuries checked out and hopefully fixed up." It was rather honest, really. He just omitted the part saying that he was the reason the thief got away (since he had let the boy go). This was the only real way that Akhet "lied". all of his statements, however, had been true.

Minali Otoyome	"Can you describe him?" The guard questioned, his face still turned toward Akhet, "Do you know why he would have been interested in such an insignificant shop?" He may not have meant any offense, but the words made Minali go still, her face flushing with anger. Taking a step forward, she set her chin in defiance. "He wanted mah blueprints," She informed the guard with a growl, pointing her finger at him, just as she had done to Akhet earlier, "Ah make th'best machines from here t'the Earth Kingdom 'n back!" She gestured at her machine, which rested against the wall of the shop next door, "Don't ya dare call m'stuff worthless!" Her hands had balled into fists, as she gave into her slight rage. It was answered with silence from the guard, his eyebrow raising slightly. He then glanced back to Ahket, giving him a vaguely skeptical, questioning look. Minali's outburst had also attracted the attention of a few others, each guard or inspector turning curiously to look at the small, gutsy woman.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	"he was clothed in a black cloak--covered from head to foot. couldn't really make out any other details than that." he shrugged in honesty. "but clearly it was some sort of attempt at sabotaging a young entrepreneur. If you want to find the one responsible, best start heading east. he's long gone from here, obviously..." he shrugged again, putting a hand gently on Minali's shoulder as if to reassure her. "That's more or less all the information I can give," he took his hand back off becuase he shrugged again, as if to look confused. "that's the story and the suspect, and he bolted east after surrendering the blueprints."

Minali Otoyome	Shaking his head, the guard turned to walk away, back to the crime scene; though before he did, he spoke over his shoulder, "We'll be done here in an hour or so. Until then, I have to ask that you stay back." With that, he was gone, disappeared into the hole in the wall. Most of the other guards went back to work, but one or two might have lingered, making sure that the young fiery girl didn't storm her way into the shop despite the direct orders to keep back. Now, Minali does give in and stomp her foot, turning on her heels, taking a couple steps away, and then a couple back, in an odd sort of pacing movement. It seemed that the confrontation had given her another rush of energy... Finally, she threw her hands up in the air, sinking down to sit on the pavement - all of this taking place in relative silence (excepting the occasional huff or sharp, exasperated exhale).

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	Akhet was not one to try and use lame small talk or crappy jokes to try and liven up a mood. Sometimes, life dealt you a shitty hand, and the best thing to do sometimes was just to fold. He knelt down next to her, knowing that it would probably be in her best interest (whether she admitted it or not) to get her injuries healed before an hour (or more. Law enforcement tended to make low-end estimates according to Akhet's experiences). "I'm sorry about your shop." he said in honesty, as he could tell that she was clearly distraught. While he thought that her upset face (as well as her actions) were downright adorable, he knew that she was clearly in an unhappy mood because of it. "While I'm not one to try and tell people what to do, I would, however, like to suggesst that you get those injuries looked at or taken care of. sometimes, the longer you leave them unchecked, the more they'll wind up hurting." He wasn't sure if it applied or not in this case, but he felt it best to let that warning out there in case they did.

Minali Otoyome	"Ah don't know where t'go, t'get 'em looked at," Minali moped, resting her face in her hand and the hand on her folded knee, "Can't afford th'fancy apothecary over on th'north side, and Ah ain't gonna go to th'medic center fer th'soldiers." She sighed, more worried about her shop than anything else, though this was just another straw on the camelephant's back. While she didn't seem inclined to move, the bruises were blooming across her skin, growing more pronounced, even with how little time had passed.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	Akhet looked at the ground, for a moment, his wild bangs covering his face. he smirked smugly, before looking back up at her with something of a tiny smile, like that of a concerned friend. he did notice her injuries blooming a bit, particularly the bruises. "I could help you out there." he offered again, "feel free to laugh if you want, but I do know healing, despite being male. As for location... I've got a room," he added, quickly continuing without skipping a beat. "although that's just so we wouldn't have to fix you up out here in the middle of the street or something. Thoughts?" He was trying to keep it as neutral as possible so that she wouldn't think he was secretly trying to lead her into something, which he wasn't. He was fine with certain results and did not often fight them, but ultimately, he went the way water did--following the path of least resistance, with surprises along thew way. He's wait to hear her opinion on it, and if she had any suggestions, he might see what he could do.

Minali Otoyome	Minali considered the proposal for a moment, her brow furrowing slightly, eyes flickering as if reading something; she couldn't see anything wrong with it, necessarily... Reaching over for her right arm, she skimmed over one of the larger bruises from her machine, wincing when it hurt. Finally, her gaze returned to his face, watching carefully for an adverse reaction. "Awright," She agreed, carefully moving into a better position, to try and stand from, "Ah'll trust ya, fer now. Y'ain't gone an' done anythin' t'me yet." While some might be offended by the added 'yet', it was said more as a simple fact, rather than a passively mistrustful warning.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	"and I can't say I plan on changing that." he reassured her. "Now let's get ya out of this mess..." He led her steadily and patiently to where he was staying. It was a modest little room that would have all the amenities that he would need, and it was in a decent part of town no less. Akhet was well-off (well, his mother was well off, but he also earned most of his own keep), and so he didn't have to resort to shady places. a couple of bags that were likely just Akhet's possessions were in the room, as was a sofa and a table and a few chairs. He disappeared into the washroom for a moment to return with some water skins which he simply left by his hips. "Now," he smiled calmly and coolly, for his movement to grab his water had taken less than 5 seconds), "feel free to make yourself at home. As for your wounds... it's just a matter of pointing out the ones that you feel need the most attention. Are you familiar with water-healing before?" Akhet had made no effort to hide that he was a waterbender, even if he didn't go around throwing jets and icicles at anything that moved or shouting "look at me I bend water!". He did want to make sure that his friend was familiar with what he was about to do, because some people outside the 'Tribes were not always familiar with the motions.

Minali Otoyome	While he had disappeared into the washroom, Minali had propped her machine up against the wall, having carried it with her the entire way, refusing to leave it behind. Despite his offer to become comfortable, once he emerged, she stood awkwardly in the middle of it, beside the sofa, her eyes moving from her surroundings to the water skins at his sides. "Naw," She shook her head, reaching up to pull the protective goggles from her hair, letting it hang loose, for now, "Ain't ever had a healin' before, at all..." She looked a little doubtful, because of his lack of equipment. "Y'just gonna run th'water over it?" the curious question came, drawn from her lips without so much as a second thought.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	he did not react to this. If she was fine standing there, then so be it. he could work with a standing patient. He did not mind her machine; in fact, he would have been much more surprised if she had not brought it along. It was out of the way against the wall, and so Akhet did not see a problem with it accompanying them. "Aye." he explained, rummaging through one of the bags till he pulled out a smaller bag, which was something of a small first aid kit. His momma had always taught him to come prepared. "running the water over it is one phase of the healing indeed." He took a small breath, and then continued. "then I manipulate the water so that it helps join with the water in your body to essentially mend itself quicker. sometimes I will also use herbal remedies or bandage things up, depending on the type of injury." he paused, looking her over, again managing able to do so in an unsuggestive manner. "and so on that note... which injuries hurt the most?--unless you had more questions?" it was easier to work with a calm patient than a nervous one, and so he wanted her to be as calm as possible and that meant helping her to understand anything or everything he was doing and why he did it.

Minali Otoyome	Despite the innocent and professional tone of the question, Minali's cheeks color slightly pink in another blush, and she averts her gaze. "Th - th'one 'et hurts th'most is m'back... all over," She gestures vaguely over her shoulder, "An' th'backs of m'legs... an' m'shoulder." Shifting her weight from one foot to the other, her hips jutting from one side to the other, she waits for him to speak. From the state of her injuries, it was clear - to her, at least - that she would have to (at least) take her shirt off, for it to be effective. Her hands were resting awkwardly at her sides, until she allowed them to fiddle with one another absently.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	he nodded, his cheeks also taking on a little pink themselves, though his skin was dark enough that most of it (but not all) of it remained hidden. "I see." he nodded, stepping behind her as if to see for himself for a moment. He saw some of the signs, but quickly stepped back in front of her so that she did not get even more embarrassed. How to approach this... this was the question Akhet needed to answer. A boy and a girl, alone together. It was totally a suggestive theme, although really all Akhet had wanted to do was help. He had mostly been looking at her right arm when he was thinking about injuries, and most of his focus when not looking for them had been on her cute little face or those gorgeous curls. "Well... do you feel comfortable with the particular clothing being removed?" he asked, keeping his tone completely calm and neutral. "I mean, if I could do it through the materials, I would, but in the case of healing, it does sort of complicate it." He gave her a very sincere expression to indicate that he was not trying to weasel her clothes off. Granted, his subconscious was more or less saying "not that I mind..." but she did not have to know that. He was trying to keep it professional here.
