Personality: Tei's personality has been hardened by the great hardships in his life. He is a strong and powerful man, but is also quite funny in a dry sort of way. He seems to be deadly serious, until you get to know him and realize he's usually pulling your leg. He's very decisive, and always knows what he wants. He is said to be a great leader, his decisiveness usually helping rather than hurting. He is also stubborn, and refuses to listen to the opinions of strangers or even acquaintances, but his close friends can sway him very effectively. He respects power and cleverness, but hates trickery and liars. Tei is often said to be brutally honest he will not tell you something untrue especially if it might effect him later. His personality has helped him rise to power among airbenders, and it is often said that he is in charge, although the other council members would strongly disagree.

Abilities: Tei is one of the strongest and most offensive airbenders there is. He uses airbending to strike opponents, and would prefer that over dodging, countering, and running away like many other airbenders do. His power in airbending is refined to the point where he can send bursts of air that pick people up off the ground and throw them around quite handily. He can also fly with a kite-staff, but perhaps not as well as skinnier airbenders.

Appearance: Tei appears quite aged, yet strong. Like most airbenders, Tei's head is shaved, but his eyebrows are thick. His face is a bit wrinkled, and some scars mottle it to. It's not awful to look at though. He usually wears classic monk robes, keeping the tradition going. His face is usually stern and serious looking. He also has the airbender tattoos on his forehead and arms.

History: Tei grew up in the Eastern Air Temple just after reconstruction had been completed. His mother died when he was young, making him seem like a sad and lonely child. He never grew out of it, continuing his serious and stubborn outlook on life as he grew older. His rage toward his loss fueled his strange offensive combat, which proved to be too much for other airbenders to handle, especially the ones who had only trained on other airbenders. He began to be noticed because of this, and because he was strong and opinionated he eventually got into politics. He slowly but surely worked his way up in the Air Nation until he made it to the Air Council. He is now one of the most powerful members, and he has many followers in the council itself, who usually agree with anything Tei says. Tei's only close friends are other Council Members with an actual backbone, and because of this he only has about two. One is Kiri Kanketsusen, a strong woman who worked her whole life to make it to the top. Tei respects her, even though their opinions are often very different. The other is Kumo Ki, a much younger council member, who Tei respects because he is one of the only young members with their own opinion. Currently Tei is working to restore the Western Air Temple.
