Kazuki Hanamura

It was a lovely day in the Earth Kingdom city of Omashu; the sun was shining, the clouds were fluffy and white, the birds were singing... It was the perfect sort of day for a wandering Airbender and his mandolin. Kazuki Hanamura lounged on a wall near the restaurant he'd visited last night, from which he selected his woman of the evening (who, by now, was waking up alone in a room that had been rented under a false name). He figured, however, that he still had a few days before he had to clear out of town, to avoid the descending harpies.

The fact that his life had become so predictable had almost bored him, truth be told. He had, after all, left the Air Temple for some excitement. Not to find another girl for each evening, only to run when she found out about the other girls from other evenings. Kazuki sighed, strumming a lighthearted tune that was completely out of sorts from his mood. What he needed, he thought to himself, was a distraction that didn't involve crawling taverns for mindless sex afterward...

Lyndis Jay Montoya II

As stereotypical as riding the mail chute system was... Lyndis found herself indulging in this frivolous and somewhat destructive pastime. Heck, as long as she could keep herself out of the undercity and not give in to her inclinations to hunt down wrongdoers and messily slay them, then perhaps she was doing good with her life.

So anyways, to cut a long story short, here's what happened. She didn't really know what had triggered the notion, but at the same time, it was still pretty bloody awesome. So after her 5th or 6th run, the guards finally caught up to her, but not before she barrelled into another cart at the top of the city. This of course, meant she was going to ride it *all the way* down.

so somewhere down the line, she did actually lose the guards, and was still barelling down at his speeds, leaning this way or that to prevent collisions. She had mild success in this department, avoiding the more deadly obstacles, including a cart full of spears, a gap in the track, a particularly sharp turn over a large drop (or was it? she was going so fast she couldn't tell), and what had looked like a bomb.

anyways, so during this moment of musing, she took her eyes off the track just long enough for her to collide head-on with another cart, which was much heavier than her unremarkable 105-pound frame. it launched her head over heels through the air, where she managed to use her bending to kill some of her momentum so she didn't end up smeared across several feet of pavement. However, it didn't stop her from rolling like a bowling ball right down a road and into a stack of crates near a restaurant, where she stopped with a crash.

By the time the dust cleared, a slightly dizzied airbender was resting in the wreckage, sprawled upside down with her legs spread apart and in the air. Thankfully, she was wearing pants. dazed and disheveled, she shook her head, noticing a man nearby on a wall.
"ohh... urgh..." she grunted, though was grinning almost ear to ear. She was kind of stuck, but as soon as the dizziness subsided, she'd be able to get up just fine.

Kazuki Hanamura

He had definitely not been expecting a distraction like that. Eyebrows rising, Kazuki lifted himself up off of the wall (with the aid of some airbending, because why not?) and fluttered down to the ground near the newly-caused wreckage. The young woman looked dazed, but also... surprisingly happy about having just crashed into a stack of wooden crates. "Hey," Kazuki tilted his head to the side, "You alright there, sweetheart?" The little term of endearment was light enough that it didn't sound condescending - just natural.

Today, Kazuki was in his own casual clothes - which he generally wore since he no longer performed or trained at the Air Temple - and so he didn't look like any sort of authority... which was probably better, since people who went that fast through a city were usually being chased. Placing his mandolin carefully over one shoulder, the young man leaned down, offering a helping hand out to the mystery woman, should she choose to take it. "Here; I can help you outta there, if you'd like?" Kazuki mentioned lightly, certainly not about to start imposing anything on her.

This, however, might just be the answer to his boredom. If she was running from thugs, Kazuki might just have to help her out. If she was running from the city security... even better. Then he'd definitely run alongside her, to share in the fun.

Lyndis Jay Montoya II

Lyndis groaned, trying vainly to right herself, but it would require moving her body differently than the way she was trying to do, so all it looked like she was doing was squirming rather suggestively. one of her legs was caught, but if she actually paid attention to where it was, she'd be able to get up without a problem. She was just a bit too dizzy to focus at the moment.
"eylo." she quipped, a *sliiiight* tinge of pink appearing on her face from the pet name, regardless of how sincere it was.

"nnnghh..." she grunted, reaching her hand out. "aye... that might be for the better... thanks." she took his hand and got to her feet, dusting ehrself off. her tunic, when straight, fell past her waist rather than exposing her midriff the way it had when she had landed sprawled and upside-down. this would have given him a nice view of a little red stone and a ring that adorned her belly button, however, it jingled just slightly as she got to her feet.

"anyhoo... I'd say that the guards were chasing me, but I lost 'em a few turns away before I hit the other cart..." she glanced around, and realized just how far she had been launched, since the cart wreckage was far distant compared to where she was right now (and she was much lower in the city at that point anyways.)
"oh. th'name's Lyndis, by the way." she offered her hand to shake.

"Kazuki Hanamura, at your service sweetheart," He offered in response, grinning at her as she straightened herself out - he had seen that cute little bellybutton ring, and he certainly wouldn't mind seeing it again. Still, the wandering airbender shook himself mentally, with a reminder that he was supposed to be looking for something exciting that wasn't about sex.

Glancing over his shoulder, Kazuki suddenly understood what she must've been doing. "Oh - riding the chutes, were you?" He chuckled, still holding onto her hand, "That's good fun, huh?" Leaning down, he pressed his lips gently to her knuckles, hoping that she wouldn't decide to kick him in the shins for doing so.

Lyndis Jay Montoya II

"oooh. full names, are we?" she giggled, "Lyndis Jay Montoya II's what my mom named me. seems a bit egotistical given that she's Lyndis Jay Montoya I, wouldn't you say?" she joked. She didn't hare her mother or anything; she had just found it odd that she had been named after her mother so blatantly. Funny enough, that belly button ring was designed to detract people from her belly button (though it could be removed; it had long since healed over and so so pinning it back in was just a matter of putting the pin through the hole), but it seemed to have the reverse effect. Alas.

"aye," she nodded with a smirk. "it was good fun. I started at the top of the city, y'know." she pointed with her left hand towards the pinnacle of Omashu in the distance, before she paused. he had just kissed her hand! and... well... holy shit that was flattering. her face turned pink and she swung her leg at the ground. Flattered, this one was.
"that... was very sweet." she said meekly.maybe it was just her, but a kiss to the hand was one of the most flattering things someone could do to her (in public at least). "th-ank you." she had almost even stammered. Yeah. he got her good.

Kazuki Hanamura

Still grinning, Kazuki continued to hold her hand, figuring that she must not have minded, given her reaction to that kiss. "You're quite welcome, Lyndis Jay Montoya, the second..." He spoke her full name, as if to try it out, "It suits you, however you came to have the lovely name - though, I must apologize, I have the nasty habit of using nicknames without thinking." And, really, the reason that the young man used nicknames or pet names for women was because he almost never ended up knowing them for very long once names came into play.

"Maybe I could join you, if you go for another ride?" he offered, thinking that it had actually been a while since he'd gone down the chutes himself - probably not since before he'd gone off to the Air Temple, really. Then, chuckling again and giving her hand a small squeeze, he added, "Unless you have some other adventure in mind, for which I would also gladly accompany you - should you wish. My mandolin and I were just thinking about how nice it would be to have something interesting to do, and someone interesting to do it with... though I don't think we had someone quite so beautiful in mind, at the time."

He was a bit of a shameless flirt, it seemed; there wasn't exactly a switch to turn it off, despite his current intentions of fun rather than a roll in the hay. Kazuki's crack about his mandolin was meant to inspire a laugh from Lyndis, though curiosity would be okay too. He wasn't delusional or anything - the wanderer knew that his mandolin couldn't actually think or talk. It was just something to help break the ice with the ladies.

"well... thanks then." she smirked, though her brown eyes did also brighten at his mention of giving people nicknames. "you do too? I think we'll get along just fine then." she wasn't quite sure what the nickname would be, as those usually came later, but it also went to show that there was some romanticism/intimacy lost since she almost never called people by their actual names. She'd have to come up with a nickname first though.

"well... I might need to lay low after drawing that much attention to myself... at least for an hour or so. otherwise... feel free to join me. I have no idea what to do in the meantime, but if you've got suggestions, I'll hear 'em out." She was a very easy-going girl, which was becoming clearer and clearer... but then she blushed again as her hand was squeezed and her appearance complimented.

"so you obviously know what I do for fun... what about you? anything you enjoy doing?" she was flattered by his flirting, and frankly, wouldn't mind if things went farther than that. her question was not necessarily a hint of that though... but at the same time, she wouldn't mind that if that's where his mind was going.

"Oh, you know," Kazuki began to answer in a teasing tone, "Long walks on the beach, getting caught in the rain, piña coladas...~" He didn't go any further, but he did laugh at his own joke. "But, more seriously..." He cleared his throat slightly, answering truthfully, "I do enjoy playing music for a willing audience, or - in a festival type setting - dancing is fun. I'm not one to hunt, but I've been known to grab a fishing pole every now and again." Shrugging, as if to say that it was no big deal, Kazuki added, "Along with more thrilling ventures, such as... sliding down delivery chutes and riding elephant koi."

Giving her hand one final squeeze, Kazuki gently released it, "If any of those suit your fancy, I would be grateful for the company - or, if you'd rather, a simple lunch date would do just as well." Like most men, he could eat whenever, and it was close to lunchtime. Unlike some men, Kazuki was also used to going without food, and so if she wanted to partake in an actual activity, he could do that, as well.

For someone with such a rough-n-tumble lifestyle, Lyndis certainly did have nice, soft hands. she listened to him express his interests, and to be honest, it all sounded rather fun... all like things she wouldn't mind indulging in. Though, riding elephant koi would be impractical because of the distance it would take to reach the water; and she had just ridden the chutes.... so maybe later on those.

"I wouldn't mind a lunch date," she cooed, putting on a pretty face, "and perhaps afterwards you can serenade me with your music... I'd be a pretty pisspoor airbender if I didn't enjoy music and dancing." it was true that Lyndis was quite fond of such things, and she attributed it to, well... being an airbender. she was a bit hungry though, and the notion of lunch with a rather cute guy *did* kind of strike her fancy...
if he listened closely, he could probably hear the slightest jingle from Lyndis' stomach.

Ah, so she was an Airbender too; that was certainly interesting. "How could I refuse such a beautiful fellow Air Nomad?" Kazuki asked, still with that friendly smile, "If you'd like music, then music you shall have - once we've finished our lunch and found a nice place to relax." That, of course, went without saying, he figured.

"I know of a nice little place over yonder," Kazuki motioned with a slight jerk of his head, "Not too fancy, but no cockroaches running around either... and they make some good vegetarian dishes, if that's your thing?" Most of the Airbenders raised at the Temple were, of course, taught to be vegetarian; he, himself, was not one of those.

Offering Lyndis his arm, with the thought of escorting her properly, the young Airbender man smiled once again, "Shall we?"

Shit, there he was flattering her again, and it was working. Not that it was threatening Lyndis' pride or anything, but still. she was falling for him rather effectively. It wasn't even necessarily romantic... it might have just been residual hormones form her wild teenage years. She was only 20, after all, s while her physical body might have stopped growing (at a rather unimpressive 5'2, no less) her mental development had a few more years to go.

"I do love me some music..." she admitted with a grin. "I don't mind vegetarian if that's your style as well, but I'm definitely a carnivore too." She did, after all, work as a butcher, and that was not just because of her brutal murdering style.
Either way, Lyndis did take his arm, glancing up at him again. "we shall, I say. let us go." she wasn't in any rush, and her toes hardly made any noise as she tiptoed down the street with him--not out of trying to be stealthy or anything; just that she was naturally light on her feet as an airbender.

Kazuki Hanamura

Kazuki knew that he was good... but he had no idea that he was this good. Without even trying, the young flirt had gotten Lyndis giggling, blushing, and agreeing to a lunch date with him - music to follow. It was enough to make him regret that he'd so much as thought the words 'no sex' earlier. Well, it's not like he made any promises! Even if he had, Kazuki Hanamura was more than familiar with breaking similar promises.

Besides... that little jingle of her bellybutton ring (which he knew was there) was just about driving him wild.

Surprisingly, his own footsteps were fairly solid, though not exactly plodding or stomping. Kazuki was happy enough to have both feet firmly on the ground, though he did miss flying as well. He lead Lyndis to the little restaurant and secured them a table. "Don't worry," came his grin and words of assurance, "I'm more than happy with a good steak; I just didn't want to be insensitive, if you embraced the more traditional views on cuisine..."

Lyndis Jay Montoya II

Lyndis was light on her feet, almost hopping on her tippy-toes. she was shorter than him by a considerable amount, but that didn't faze her either. the faint jingle of her little piercing could still be heard with each step. She was not going to deny the option of them having a fling or something that night if it went that way, but that wasn't explicitly what she was shooting for.

"mmm... steak." Lyndis smirked. it was a significant part of her diet given her occupation. "and thanks for caring... that's real sweet." while her tone was playful, there was sincerity in it as well.
Either way, soon they were at the steakhouse, since both of them agreed that it was hard to go wrong with that. Lyndis seemed as eager as ever. She was not exactly sure what else this man did, but at the same time, she didn't really care a whole lot. She was having fun, and that was what mattered.

Kazuki Hanamura

To be fair, Kazuki didn't exactly know what she did for a living either - or what she did for fun, other than ride down the delivery chutes. He did see that she wasn't shy about eating in front of him, which was actually far more appealing than a woman who daintily nibbled a salad while drooling over the smell of steak. Oh yes, Kazuki was definitely more appreciative of a healthy, curvy figure than a 'fashionable' twig who wouldn't eat.

Once the meal was over, he offered her his arm again, though he didn't take the main city roads. "C'mon," the handsome flirt grinned at Lyndis, "I'll show you my favorite spot - and then my trusty mandolin will take care of the serenading...~"

Said spot would turn out to be a nice little grouping of trees on the outskirts of the city. They cast a nice little shady patch where tiny little yellow flowers grew, and there wasn't much else around. It was very peaceful and quiet... No wonder Kazuki liked to play music here.

Lyndis Jay Montoya II

Small as Lyndis was, she was definitely curvy and healthy; there was probably a bit of muscle in there too. it was hard to tell due to her baggy pants and tunic, but Lyndis actually sported a rather curvy little hourglass figure with some muscle tone beneath those clothes. She did tell him a bit more about herself as she ate, mentioning that she sometimes did mercenary work, that she loved the outdoors, and that she enjoyed playing and acting. Perhaps if she ever got an actual job, she'd be an actress.

She did eat rather shamelessly though, and was polite enough to thank him for the meal once they had eaten. she was excited to see what this trusty mandolin of his could do, and so she didn't need to be coaxed a great deal to follow him to his favorite spot, wherever it may be. Heck, even if it was a hotel room, she'd be fine with that.

Lyndis smiled rather sweetly at the place she was led. "it's rather lovely." she smiled, seating herself in front of him as she waited to hear his music. she might very well hop up and dance if it was lively enough.

Kazuki Hanamura

Plopping himself down in a cross-legged position, Kazuki first tested the tautness of each string on his mandolin, strumming a few bars to ensure that everything was shipshape. Then, with a flourish, he began a calm little upbeat tune that he'd heard from some travelers of the Southern Water Tribe. It was about the ocean, of course, and a little seabird - though he wouldn't bother mentioning it unless asked.

From there, the song changed tempo and became a well-known dancing tune of the Fire Nation, almost seamlessly. With an encouraging grin, Kazuki nodded at Lyndis, hoping that she would get up and dance (and that maybe her shirt would lift a bit to show off that piercing of hers that he was so taken with). If there was one universal trait of the Airbenders, it was that none could resist a good dancing song.

For a moment, Lyndis also plopped down cross-legged, her baggy pants still hiding most of the details of her legs. she listened as he strummed, and closed her eyes, before rocking her head slightly as if to the beat. her hair fluttered in the breeze a little, though maybe that had to do with the two of them? Either way, she seemed amused and mesmerized by the tune until it picked up the pace.

Well, when it did pick up the pace, she smirked nad got up to dance. her tunic did cover most of her waist, but it was light and breezy, and could surely flutter if she danced wildly--which Lyndis did. despite the wild style of flitting and twirling and dancing that Lyndis partook in, there was a very graceful air (no pun intended) to her movements. She was definitely an airbender; nimble, graceful... lithe too. she was flexible.
Sure enough sometimes her shirt did fly up a bit, exposing slivers of Lyndis' midriff, where that little red jewel stood out against her light skin. she wore it all the time though, and so gave it very little heed, and danced like no one was watching.

Oh, but Kazuki was definitely watching. He kept the beat mostly steady, but the amorous young man couldn't help but throw in little upbeats, trying to get Lyndis to spin a little faster, to show off a little more of that tummy. Thank goodness for broken promises, because he wanted to do such things to that cute little midriff... Nothing too kinky, but there may or may not be some tongue involved - if that point was ever reached.

The second song cut to a third; it seemed that the Airbender was quite comfortable with his musical instrument and keeping a dance going. This one, however, was a little more sweeping and a little less jaunty, so that the beautiful young woman before him could slow down a bit and have a break without stopping entirely. He did like to think of these things, to help dancers pace themselves - plus, his heart might break, just now, if she stopped.

Strangely enough, Kazuki hadn't ever slept with another Airbender, since most of the Air Temple Nomads were either too young, too old, or too... male. He was most definitely hoping for the chance, however, seeing how flexible Lyndis was.

Lyndis Jay Montoya II

Lyndis did in fact follow the beat, her movements reflecting the volume or style of the music at the particular moment. occasionally she even flipped, sometimes doing it in the air and landing back onto her feet, or kicking into a handstand (and showing off her cute midriff) before flipping back upright and dancing some more. It was a ticklish spot, for sure... and that gem was meant to hide that. Not to say Lyndis would mind going that far though.

Sure enough, as the music slowed, so did Lyndis' pace, though she did use some of her own airbending to give herself a breeze. It was a simple touch, but she knew how to impress... and when her clothes and hair fluttered in the wind, she looked that much more attractive, and it sometimes showed more of her midriff--a nice bonus considering how many beautiful curves her loose clothing concealed (her pants were held up by a belt though).

Thus, luckily for him, she did not stop, and seemed to be quite enjoying herself. her mind was currently off the idea of them sleeping together, though it was mostly just because she was calm and focused on her dancing. if he mentioned it (or even just hinted at it), she'd be down for sure.

Kazuki Hanamura

Grinning appreciatively - both of the dance and the young lady's body - Kazuki strummed a little faster, hinting that the music would be picking up again soon, if Lyndis wanted to keep going. He planned to bring up the vague idea of her accompanying him home this evening, eventually. There was a right time for these things, and usually the time was not when the woman was enjoying herself so innocently.

It wouldn't be until his companion called an end to it or until the sun began to set that Kazuki would stop playing, ending with a slow, sweet lullaby. At that point, the musical Airbender would rise from his cross-legged position, stretch out as tall as he was able, and release with a contented sigh. "You dance wonderfully," He complimented Lyndis with a softer smile, "Your slower twirling reminded me of my mother's dancing, from when I was a kid." Might be a strange compliment, but it was a sincere one.

Lyndis Jay Montoya II

For a young adult, Lyndis did seem to have a lot of vibrant energy, and so a lot of it went into her expressive movements. she smirked at him, even throwing in a wink as she picked up her pace again. it wasn't like her tunic was short, but Lyndis did jump around enough to still give him further glimpses of that cute little ring and gemstone she had pierced her bellybutton with.

As long as he kept a steady pace, Lyndis would dance till the sun went down. she was a little bit sweaty by this time, but it was all in good fun. "thank you," she smiled rather sweetly at him, "it seems we both enjoyed this afternoon then. I... am glad I was able to remind you of your mother."

pausing, wiping her forehead, she took a deep breath.
"Whoo... I should get back and get cleaned up... I'll stink something fierce if I don't." she was perhaps being dramatic, although at the same time, that also meant that this would be the opportune time for him to make his move.

Kazuki Hanamura

Perking up slightly at that comment, Kazuki saw what he would call a 'golden opportunity', and thus reached out to grab it. "Well," He began, so as not to sound overeager, "If you don't have a place to stay yet - or if it's too far away - I do have a room at the inn, near which we first met. I'd gladly offer you the washroom." The flirtatious Airbender didn't think that sounded too upfront.

Of course, he didn't add that the bed would be available for sharing, either, which it was. Lyndis had done some flirting of her own, during her dances (or so he thought), and thus Kazuki thought that she might be thinking along the same lines that he was... if he was lucky. Which he tended to be.

Lyndis Jay Montoya II

Lyndis had kind of been hoping he would make an offer like this. But at the same time, she wanted to find that happy place between being too easy and being too hard to get.
"oh, it's not too far away," she cooed innocently, "besides... you don't want me changing back into these smelly old clothes, do you?" she was being dramatic (since they didn't stink too much), and, while she wouldn't mind her clothes coming off (whatever they may have been), she wasn't about to bathe and then just stay naked. that'd just be too easy.

On the other hand, she'd listen if he wanted to try and negotiate. "I could meet you there afterwards?" she batted her eyelashes. it was clear she was playing his game with him, but that she too wanted the same result. But, what fun was a game if you accomplished it so easily? Thus, Lyndis teased this way.

"How insensitive of me..." Kazuki grinned, unable to hold back, "Of course you'd want to change clothes after dancing..." He'd been right... Lyndis was on the same trail of thought that he was - either that, or holy shit he was getting mixed signals.

Offering a small bow before placing the mandolin over his shoulder, the young wandering Airbender nodded to her second flirtatious suggestion. "Do you think that you could find the same wall as before?" He asked, thinking that it should be fairly easy, "I'll wait for you there, tiny dancer." There it was; the nickname that Kazuki had promised.

Taking her hand to press another tiny kiss to her knuckles, Kazuki would then excuse himself, allowing Lyndis time to go wash and get ready. In the meantime, he planned to feed himself - since he'd hopefully need the energy later, wink wink - and then to simply relax and await her arrival. He hoped that Lyndis wouldn't take too long...
