Personality: Zenzi is an ancient woman whose sanity is questionable, but her wisdom and her skills are not to be laughed at. She is a gentle woman whose many years of expreience have made her humble, strong, wise, and amiable. She is witty and good-humored, and very slow to anger. However, woe to the one who angers her, as underneath the sweet old lady's skin is the ferocity of a true warrior.
She is a bit nostalgic sometimes, but she is good-natured, and always ready to crack a joke, often about her husband, one of her siblings, or one of her children. her playful demeanor made her an easy woman to get along with.
Abilities: Zenzi was not a bender, and so her life was devoted to mastery of the various tools and weapons known to mankind. her favorite weapon was a metal bo staff, which she also uses as a walking stick. sometimes, said staff is spiked. Zenzi is deceptively swift and nimble, but most notably, her reflexes are still in check, and with her staff, she's able to block most incoming attacks, including elemental ones.
Appearance: Zenzi is an utterly unimposing old woman, standing at an unimpressive 4'9". She has dark skin and grey hair which was formerly black, often kept in a bun. she dresses in plain colors, usually blacks, browns, or whites, and is often barefoot as if she was an earthbender, although she has no bending abilities. She is almost always seen with her staff in hand, and sometimes also has a string of knives and daggers around her waist. her skin is wrinkly with age, and her narrow eyes shine a hazel brown from their sockets.
History: Zenzi's history is shrouded in mystery, and 151 years of it no less. She was the youngest of 5 children, and lived a normal life most likely in some back-country Earth Kingdom town. She dedicated most of her life to weapons training, as did her siblings, and (when she got them) her children. She lived quite a happy life. She even trained the Avatar that lived before Avatar Zulera in the ways of the staff, which helped, considering that he was an airbender.
Zenzi lived a productive life, and as time passed, she simply refused to die. she outlived her husband and siblings by many years, and then surprised people by outliving all of her children, and even some of her grandchildren. Zenzi continued chugging along and educating people with her skills and wisdom. She's old enough at this point that death would be someone she would welcome like an old friend... but death seems to be too afraid to take her.
Zenzi also met and taught Zulera, though she was much more forceful with the young water avatar than with the air avatar before her. she became a woman of renown simply for her age, after the last of her children passed away.
