Personality:
Kanaryu can be hot headed most of the time. He is a bit rebellious and is very energetic on very cold days. He can be happy and out going if he wants to, but most of the time he is just very calm and not the most talkative person. He prefers to take every battle situation very serious but tends to lose his cool when he is angered by his opponent. He loves to travel a lot, but he prefers to stay close to home. He loves to stuff his mouth full with food often getting strange looks from anyone staring. He is friendly to everyone he meets and is very friendly to others in the tribe he lives in.

Abilities:
Kanaryu has and will always use water bending. Since the day he could he began his waterbending training and nothing else but that. His father being one of the local masters of waterbending in the tribe was kanaryus master pushing him to his limits so he could be molded into a perfect water bender much like him self. He never trained with any sort of weapon as he was told he would not need them. In his teens he seemed to be able to keep up with his father a bit but still never won when they spared. He had surpassed most in the tribe in water bending, He was even labeled as a waterbending prodigy. Since taking the position of chief his waterbending skills have now reached there highest for the coming days of war.

Appearance:
He appears to have a sort of dark brown hair which is long in the front mostly and short in the back. He seems to wear a light armor of some sorts that has a traditional look to it like most armor in the water tribe. He seems to wear guards on his arm's that cover up most of the top of his hand and go all the way to his elbow almost. He also wears gloves under them. He wears leg guards to which go all the way up to his knees almost giving him a little bit of protection there. His eyes seem to be an almost crystal blue which really show up with his dark skin. He wears a necklace at all times and it is always the same one with a name in scribed on it. He has a medium sized build and is about 6 foot tall. He also has a tattoo on his back, which is the water tribe insignia.

History:
Was born to Jiro and Yuna Oshiro, Both from and apart of the southern water tribe. His mother died shortly after giving birth to him, the years we're still good to him even without her. He soon turned four, only his father celebrated for him because that was all he had. His gift from his father was waterbending training kana was very excited about this , he wanted to be a great water bender just like his father someday, that was his goal to become the next waterbending master in his family like all those before him. He trained hard that year pleasing his father and then it was soon his fifth birthday once again only him and his father celebrated followed by more training. The next day he went into town with his father, He enjoyed going there and seeing all the new things that came in he even saw other benders of other elements, He notice people we're quite friendly with his father he sort of knew why but never really one hundred percent sure why. years and years passed, It was his ninth birthday but something was different that day his father wasn't happy like he used to be, He seemed sad. Late that same night he went into the main room and saw his father eating there by him self staring at an empty spot, Kana was confused at first as to why he was staring at the empty spot with such sadness, He approached his dad and then put a hand on his shoulder and then proceeded to ask why he was sad. His father sighed and looked to him and told him of his mother of how she died. Kana knew he had a mother but he never she died, he was told she abandoned them one night, Kanaryu changed that day he wasn't the same he was now much just like his father, He was sad. It felt as if there was always something missing and that there was always a constant hole in his heart.

Training still proceeded for him through the years, He was fourteen at the time. He knew much about waterbending now, but he was still far from being a master, he knew his weaknesses and his strengths. His ability's seemed to work best and on very cold night's and with a full moon out. He felt stronger at those times, That was one of his best strength's although a full moon only came out once a month. Others we're starting to view him as a waterbending prodigy, including his father who was very proud of him, although kana did not feel like he was a prodigy and felt like he didn't deserve to be called such a thing. He spared many time's with his father that year and the next few, he seemed to keep up with his father noticing some of his weaknesses and strengths he still never could win one match against his father even if he found a weakness. He started picking up on spotting weaknesses faster but he thought maybe that was because he had been sparing with his father for so long they we're just easy to find. At the age of eighteen things started changing his training had stopped, and this was because he father had become gravely ill. Kana had been taught pretty much everything his father could teach him but it would still take more time until he would master waterbending. His father soon passed away that same night leaving kana by him self, He felt sadness once again but this time it was greater then last time, he felt alone. He sat in his home thinking back to the past, to all his birthday's that he and his dad celebrated togethe, They only had each other and now, he only had him self. He soon left his home and set out to travel to ba sing se. It wasn't until after two years had passed that he soon returned back to the southern water tribe, He liked ba sing se and promised to go back someday or maybe he would go to the fire nation capital next. Now he spend most of his time walking around town or usually going out far from the town and practice his waterbending, still determined to master it. Over the years things had happened, After a day of traveling he made his way back home. There was something different that day, It seemed the earth king was making a visit he made his way straight to the chiefs igloo and exited out of it soon. It had seemed like a harmless visit to the tribes but after the body of the chief was found it was obvious the earth king had killed him, But know one in the tribe could really figure out why he did it. The tribe was out raged, They would need a new leader but it would need to be a waterbender. Out of all the rest they thought kanaryu would best fill the position as he was young and strong and had been bending water since he could walk. He didn't feel comfortable about accepting the position but he did. He was as angry as the rest of the people for the
un-needed death, When he accepted it he immediately started building up his army, taking in both women and men, New machines we're made the navy was the most improved. Ground vehicles we're made as well and training was provided all around, He started training more and more learning from different waterbending masters from all around. This quickly got him to we're he needed to be in skill with waterbending, It would be needed for what was to come and also he would need this new strength to continue his position. Him and his people we're ready for war with the earth kingdom and anyone who would join them supported there beliefs and supported the killing of the old southern tribe chief. In kana's mind they would all be treated the same this could not go unpunished.

Kanaryu sat against a wall of ice looking down at the small town. He put his hands behind his head and sighed a bit squinting his eyes a bit. He began to wonder what he should do now should he leave once again and go to the fire nation capital or stay here and practice waterbending some more, It was a tough decision for him to make. He loved home and liked helping out as much as possible why he was here and was making more progress here with his skill in water bending then he would be if he traveled. He closed his eyes and thought back in the past when he went to ba sing se, He had fun there and stayed there for almost two years, although most of his trip involved him traveling on foot. He rose from his feet and soon started walking back looking up to the cloudy sky the moon shining through a bit but not much. A gust of cold wind went by he then looked forward again back to the town and made his way through as the snow crunched beneath his feet.
