Personality: He doesn't take anything seriously. You could put a gun to his head, and he’d only be laughing. He is also a bit lazy, taking the easy way out most of the time, and ultimately making even the simplest things way to overcomplicated. He likes to make reckless choices because 'it's more fun', and he likes to make rash decisions without thinking, but often pays for it. He is also forgetful sometimes, leaving his swords around everywhere, and causing a big mess. He walks when he thinks and talks, and moves his hands a lot when he talks. Even the most charismatic people have a hard time swaying him to do things he doesn't want to. He tries to make sure no one gets a read on his personality, because it’s ‘fun’ to keep them guessing, so he often acts very serious and willing to kill to keep people out of his head. He never takes his sword out of its stealth, unless it is a VERY dire situation.

Abilities: He is actually very well versed in the art of the sword, well, more like the pole; he’s been learning to wield them like that since he was very young. He uses it like a monk would wield a pole, but a lot more aggressively. It’s no fun to wait for someone else to do something. He uses his airbending to do something he likes to call ‘Sword bending.’ He creates wind currents, around his sword, extending it, making it longer than before. He never learned to airbend formally, so he doesn't know any real moves, but he uses it to increase his speed in bursts, often completely missing his enemy. He also wields his airbending like someone would Earth or water or fire, because he had received lots of training in those 3, but sometimes it doesn't work out very well…

He looks a bit older than really is, and always has a smile on his face. He has black dreadlocks down to his collar bone. He has a scar on is left cheek down to his chin. He wears a black trench coat and a white t-shirt underneath. He also wears black cloth pants and black shoes. The trench coat is home to many of his swords, but his nodachi. He never takes off his coat and is angry if you ask him to.

Description: He crafted it with his father. When his father was working at the mines, he found a cave. Deciding not to tell his boss, he went inside and found a large amount of Onyx stone. He took some home, and gave it to his only son, Jiang. They used it to create his nodachi.

History: He was born in Kyoshi Island. He was an only child, and his mother died at birth. Even though his father was alone, he was a great parent. Jiang’s mother used to be a steel smith, and Jiang often used her old smelter to create his Tonfa blades. He seems to have been born a blacksmith; his father said he was making things since he could talk. When he turned 13, He decided he wanted to learn all four elements. Not because he was the avatar or anything, but because he wanted to be able to counter them. His father taught him to earth bend, even though Jiang was unable to bend at all. Before he left to explore the world and seek bending masters, his father came home with Onyx stone, which they used to create a nodachi. He learned to use it with one hand, and then set off on his quest. After a few years, he discovered his airbending potential, but didn't want a teacher because he thought it would mess up his style of bending. At the age of 15, he had learned waterbending, enough to be satisfied, and at the age of 17, he felt he was ready to travel around the world again, but now without out a real purpose other than enjoy it. And then the war in the air temples happened, so he now fights for the air nomads.

Okay. The edit on the sword stuff looks good enough. You need to clarify his bending abilities, update the history, and just check things over real quick in general. There are some contradictory statements in here. Namely the one in the history about how he's not a bender.
