	Kinalune Kinalune stood at the heart of the city as the very first hints of twilight fell upon it. Her form was relaxedly propped against the base of a tall building. It smelled like death and blood, so the young Firebender assumed it was a butcher’s shop towering behind her. Kinalune made a mental note to come back and pick up some nice steak as a treat to herself and her companion for later. Itachi – the laziest fire-ferret ever - was curled in the crook of his master’s arm, looking out at the people as they went from place to place. His ears were perked and his red eyes jerked periodically as they followed the movements of the humans. Kinalune, on the other hand, was gazing steadily upwards. Only a few stars hung in the purple-grey sky. A few of the stars twinkled and Kinalune let a content grin grace her face. Her free hand travelled down her body and rested on her money pouch, which was fuller than ever. Kinalune had taken the advice of Telnaez and started going around asking the multitude of vendors if they needed any assistance. Plenty of them had said yes, and almost everyone had paid her generously for her time. Kinalune knew she would have to remember to come back to this place next time she needed money. For the meantime, the girl had nothing to do. She planned on leaving this town later tonight and heading to the Fire Nation Capital, just to sight see for a few days. Although most people didn’t travel at night, Kinalune preferred it. The girl hadn’t been to the Capital in years, and she wondered if it was still the same as it was before. The dark-skinned firebender was lifted from her thoughts when a flash of purple-black appeared at the corner of her eye.

BOOM!

"GET BACK HERE YOU LITTLE WHITE-EYED DEVIL! AND THAT HELLCAT OF YOURS!"

Purple fabric and golden brown fur tangled together in a mush of colors as fruit and vegetables flew everywhere. Laughter, gasps, and furious outcries split the mundane of the market district and erupted into a riot of confusion. Hair the color of indigo ink rippled in the humid breeze of the Fire Nation while thick claws dug up loose earth, putting incredible distance between the crowds and the fleeing miscreants.

"STOP THEM STOP THEM! STOP THOSE LITTLE HELLIONS!"

Hotaru's features darkened and she growled, "We are NOT hellions!" A hiss escaped her throat as she turned her sightless eyes onto the angry vendor, sensing his heat-signature fading as her tigoness,Panima, raced her away.

"Looks like we've got enough to last us for a few days eh 'Nima?" Hotaru grinned and fell as the tigoness nuzzled her in agreement. The little archer wrapped an arm around Panima's striped neck and gave it an affectionate squeeze. The satchel in her grasp jostled and a few mangos toppled out, as well as 2 wrapped raw steaks.

Panima gobbled those up before Hotaru had the chance to wash them off.

"Panima." The archer grumbled, snatching the wildcat by the ear, "That one was mine." Panima merely rolled her pale green eyes and bit the sleeve of Hotaru's shirt gently, leading her from the alleyway and onto the street. Despite being able to "sense" the pathway and "see" everyone else's heat signatures, the archer allowed her over-protective companion herd her anyway.

'Now I need to come up with a way to raise some money to pay that vendor back. Okay so somebody else robbed him and I was able to slip a bid in for me an Panima, is that a crime? Yes, Hotaru....your mother and father would frown on your dishonor.'

She frowned absentmindedly, "Who cares what they think." A low, rumbling jerked her from her musings and Hotaru's head snapped to her left. Panima's fur had bristled under her touch and her body was pressed against her, as if she was guarding her from something. Hotaru blinked and breathed, sparking her inner fire somewhat. Two heat-signatures were seated a few feet away from them, one about the same size as her and the other one drastically smaller. Was that a pet or a rat or something?

Panima's throat continued its guttural rumble and her solid body remained firmly in front of the lithe little archer. Hotaru frowned and turned her milky eyes to the biggest heat signature, seeing it's faint and flickering outline.

"You're a woman." Was her plain statement, as if she were conversing about weather and politics.

	Kinalune Commotion could be heard a few streets over, but Kinalune paid the ruckus no mind. It was probably just another tavern brawl that had been taken to the streets, or maybe a thief had been caught stealing wares. The dark-skinned firebender opened her mouth into a wide yawn. She wasn’t tired, not really, but she had been standing still for so long that her body wanted to put itself to sleep. Suddenly, the noises were much closer. Thud, thud, thud, thud… While Kinalune noticed the great feline steed and its dark-haired rider first, Itachi was quicker to react. He scurried upwards, out of her arms, and twisted himself around Kinalune's neck. His tiny snout was twisted into a snarl and a very small growl made itself known from his throat. Kinalune rolled her eyes at her companion, but she did tense her muscles up in preparation in case the master lost control of its large pet. A much deeper and louder growl came from the big cat as it skidded to a halt beside her, and the firebender could see the pretty face of a girl framed in long, black hair. She looked to be about Kinalune’s age. “You’re a woman.” The girl said it rather plainly, and Kinalune looked down at herself. A pair of average sized boobs hung on her chest, and rather well-defined hips were cocked uncaringly against the brick wall. Kinalune stuck her chin up, one side of her mouth quirking upwards into an amused smirk. “So I am, and so are you, it seems.” The brunette girl motioned for Itachi to scurry back into the leather bag that always rested at her back, hoping to mitigate the feline. Reluctantly, Itachi went, chattering all the way. “My name’s Kinalune, but call me what you will. That’s a nice kitten you have there. Is it safe to come near, or will it try to make a meal of me?”
