Personality: Vinca is a kind, confident girl -- her past has made her strong both mentally and physically. She is a very humorous type of person, cracking jokes whether they're good or bad at random times. However, she is hot-headed, though, a trait shared by all firebenders. Vinca is ambitious, but not blood-thirsty as in willing to kill for her own. She strives to please, not really caring much about her health, being very much humble. Vinca is much more mature than her age says, though she is very childish at times.

Though, Vinca has her downsides. She is very hard on herself, despite her seemingly confident personality. She often doubts herself, hestianting in fear something will go wrong. She hates change, and often turning away new people, and with this she comes off as snobby and rude, which she is not. Vinca snaps easily, crude comebacks easily escaping her mouth when she is grumpy or mad, and pushes away help when she needs it most.

History: Vinca Mae's birthtime is unknown -- she 'celebrates' her birthday, which is actually the day her guardian found her, December 23. The person who found her name was Igio, a kind, elderly women who came across Vinca, a very young girl at the time, starving on the streets, half-frozen. Igio took Vinca under her care, as she was currently living alone. She was a widow ; her husband passing of sickness and old age. Vinca came to respect Igio's old husband through the stories she told, of how caring and gentle he was.

Eventually, Vinca grew, and found out of her power. The day she found of her bending ablities, she was playing in the streets at the age of 6. Her friend, Olin, a dear friend still of date, made her angry, and she spewed fire from her fingertips. Igio was pleasently surprised by this new-found power, and entiled Vinca under her own teachings, even though Igio wasn't a firebender.

Age 10

By the age of 10, Vinca was a well-developed firebender. She continuously amazed Igio with her evergrowing skill. Around this time, Vinca took up a job to support herself and Igio. Igio was too old to work, and the money left behind by her husband was withering. Vinca took the job of a merchant's assisiant, selling home-made jewelry from metals. She proved to be a good assisiant, as she could bend the metal with her fire better than a plan old hammer could. Vinca made a small, but steady pay as sales of her jewelry increased.

Age 15

At age 15, Vinca was fired from the merchant's stand, for messing up too many pieces of metal. Truth be told, she was overwhelmed, juggling school, caring for Igio -- who had fallen seriously ill with a sickness --, and making jewelry. She stormed off, cursing the merchant, something she had never did before. From this point on, Vinca became some kind of a 'badass', neglecting her schoolwork and ignoring everything and everyone.

Then, one day caring for Igio, something went terribly wrong. While making soup for Igio, who she came to call her 'mother', she lost focus and the fire cooking the soup lost control. Unable to stop it, despite her firebending skills, she grabbed Igio and fled from the house. Igio died in Vinca's arms, and Vinca was accused of murder and arrested.

Vinca was took to prision, and there she fell into a deep depression, but was determind to get the hell out. She contiously had strange dreams, questioning her why she didn't stop the fire that destroyed her home and got her into this mess. Igio was killed by the smoke, Vinca convinced herself, even though it was most likely Igio died from her sickness.

Little did they know, the bars on Vinca's prision cell's windows were slowly melting.

After escaping jail, Vinca was no longer the badass she once was. Apparently, overthinking does work, she decided. However, she was wanted for breaking out of prision, and was continously on the run, never staying in one place too long, in fear of being caught.
