Aningan Telaq Nerikerak (WIP) Empty
PostSubject: Aningan Telaq Nerikerak (WIP)   Aningan Telaq Nerikerak (WIP) EmptyThu Jul 24, 2014 8:18 pm

Full Name: Aningan Telaq Nerikerak
Gender: Male
Age: 19
Element: Water
Birthplace: Catbus, Southern Water Tribe
Position: Some adventurer or whatever. He’s just started. I think. He also calls himself a ‘fortune teller’, totes bollocks though. Scam artist.
Training:

  • Water Bending: Expert
  • Unarmed Combat: Beginner

Personality: So, first thing first, he is a very clever person. I mean, really. He lived with a family of five other siblings, and he always managed to outwit them, along with his mother and father. He would play pranks, modest, silly ones, but they always ended with the other party getting wet or some other thing. He never pranked willy-nilly either; he had always selected one that seemed the least attentive at the time.

So, of course, he got good at lying. And when you get good at lying, you get good at acting. And acting is one of the best things he can do. He always respected spirits, and always will, no matter what he does. So, he decided that it would be best to somehow get the superstition of those outside of the Water Tribes for his own benefit. And it’s worked quite well over the years.

He views many as idiots to be manipulated, though always acts under the guise of being courteous and kind. He is an ambitious individual, though is quite humble at times. He views himself as useless... most of the time. I mean, at large, he is a total piece of shit that should never be trusted unless if you knew what he was really like.

He's quite insecure about himself and his everything. He is scared of not being good enough for his friends, if he thinks that he ever had one. Which he doesn't. He's an introvert at times, excluding when he's plotting to scam some poor individual or another. He doesn't like spiders at all, of any type or form.

He is, believe it or not, quite trustworthy at times. When an individual learns that he isn't a fortune teller, he is actually quite transparent. He believes that if they are smart enough to see through his lie, that they are intelligent enough to know him.

Abilities: He, like many of his peers, trained under a waterbending master at the South Pole. His master was patient – a good thing for most of the waterbenders trained under him. He wasn’t the top student, but he wasn’t at the bottom. He was rather… average. Well, no, not really. He was the tenth best student there, and could’ve gotten higher if he tried harder.

His combat style, as I mention in his physical descriptor, is defensive; always redirecting each blow going against him, striking back when it was the most advantageous for him. He appeared and was quite calm during the fights, striking with calculated precision and talent. He always enjoys to keep a liquid, go with the flow state of combat, such as dodging and redirecting strikes. He liked to use trickery to assist in combat, such as turning the ice under his opponent’s feet into water, rising it up around them, then spontaneously freezing it.

He does remarkably well with ice, raising it up to allow him to send ice-disk projectiles towards his enemies. He enjoys using water-whips as well, though prefers to have the tip frozen solid, just in case they would get up again. He also attempts to tire his opponents out by moving quickly. Defensive and go-with-the-flow, that’s his fighting style.

When in battle, he prefers to be right in the middle of it, causing his opponents to tire so that he can finally pounce upon them when the time is right. He hasn’t quite gotten used to some things, such as making steam; very difficult.

Appearance:
Height: 6’5”
Weight: 197lbs
Eyes: Grey-blue.
Hair: Chocolate.
Skin: Brown.

Aningan is a tall, willowy individual. He isn’t a warrior, although he does have the bending talents to do quite a bit of damage, though he tends to focus solely on defensive measures. His skin tone is brown, the ‘common’ shade from the Southern Water Tribe. His eyes are a grey-blue color that is slightly diluted; he isn’t blind, it’s just the color of his eyes. His features are smooth and generally somewhat attractive. He doesn’t like this.

He, unlike his four other siblings, isn’t all that strong. If anything, he’s a wimp. He bruises easily, shies away from fights, always on the defensive; a total loser in many people’s views. His hair is a dark chocolate in color. He has a bit of a sideburns going on, but fails at it. He wears an array of rather bland clothing, even by water nation standards.

It is a blue tunic with brown pants, presumably leather. He has a blue-grey jacket lined with fur. His boots are black leather, presumably, with fur lining. Alternatively for warm weather, he has a thin blue tunic with grey pants, along with brown shoes. He has three rings, all of which are silver imbedded with moonstones. He also has a brown hat. A very nice brown hat.

Weaponry & Other Gear: n/a

History: (520)

**OPTIONAL**
Sample RP:"Ah yes, I see what you mean, child..." The strangely clothed individual named Aningan murmured as he rubbed his hands over the crystal ball. The only normal part about it was really his appearance. Aningan was at his usual tricks; playing the part of a Fortune Teller to get money, so much money. The person he was talking to hung onto his words like a spiderfly hangs onto its web.

"What do you see about my future, Master Aningan?" The Earth Kingdom individual asked him. Aningan cracked a grin, barely seen under his hood. Oh, he had a plan, a terrible plan. "I see... Ooooh, what I see is... Horrible!” He gasped, looking horrified. “Your future will a bleak one, your life will end soon! And it will be not by the hands of another human, it will be…”

A fog formed inside the crystal ball, which was actually filled with liquids. It transformed to a shape of a skull under Aningan’s guiding fingers. “It will be by the spirit’s hands!” The stupid person gasped out in disbelief. “But my family had always been respectful towards the spirits!” The individual responded in fear. Aningan grimaced, furrowing his brows. Good thing he had stashed water throughout the tent.

With a motion of his hands, the tent began to shift and tremble. Time to act. Aningan let out a woeful groan, his eyes rolling back slightly, he began to tremble. Time to speak in tongues, he thought to himself as he did so. He pointed a finger of accusation at the poor sap he was manipulating, hissing a few words.

“You have dissssssshonored ussss…” Aningan attempted to make it sound… spirit-y. Hissing noises always worked. It seemed to be working on this person too. “You will PAY THE PRICE!” He hissed again, in a different voice. “Give to thisssss pawn of oursssss your precioussss metalssssss….” Yep, it was totally working. The fool in the tent with him trembled and nodded feverently. “Y-Yes, great spirits… H-Here!” He literally tossed money at Aningan before scrambling away.

As the person left the tent, it stopped shaking, and Aningan sighed tiredly. What did he get… Aningan, picking up his new money, he began to count it out. It was around ten golden pieces. “Well, this was a good haul.” He grumbled, getting up. Alright… now to get out of this town before the idiots he managed to get all this money from found out he was lying.

Immediately, he began to take down his tent, the things inside of it little more than useless junk he got from his journeys. Packing it all up, he bought a horse-ostrich and a cart to drive away. It had been a good month.
