In every major city, posters have been set up in order to advertise an adventure. The posters read as the following:

EXPEDITION EZCHIFT

IN SEARCH OF ADVENTURERS FOR AN EXPEDITION TO THE LONG LOST ANCIENT CITY OF EZCHIFT

THOSE INTERESTED MUST MEET AT THE ELFSONG TAVERN IN JANG HUI BY THE 5TH OF MAY

PAYMENT WILL BE BASED ON THE TREASURES FOUND AND SPLIT EVENLY AMONGST THOSE WHO COME

BRING ENOUGH FOOD FOR YOURSELF TO LAST A WEEK

Kei	Ezchift was the greatest of all cities that stood over nearly two thousand years ago. The city sat alone in the middle of the ocean over a chain of Islands. The riches and treasures located in the city were nearly infinite. The people had a very deep understanding of Chi and lived in prosperity and peace, isolated from the rest of the Kingdoms. One day for an unknown reason however, the city had sunk to the depths of the ocean taking with it all of its glory and wealth. No body from the city of Ezchift was known to escape the catastrophe alive. Most people will blame the disappearance of Ezchift on a natural disaster, but few say it was the work of an ancient evil, one that is best kept away at the bottom of the ocean within the ruins of Ezchift. Despite once being the greatest city on the planet, the location of Ezchift was something of a secret and only a few knew of where it lay. As a result, many also believed that Ezchift was simply a work of fiction and never existed in the first place. The city did exist as Kei had once been there himself. Back when he was working with Ul, they received a job to find a certain relic within the city and were given a very old map with its location. They found the city and way to reach it despite how far under the water it was. Though as they tried to enter the city, they were unable to get passed a door which had blocked the entrance. The door seemed to have needed the powers of each a Fire Bender, Earth Bender, Water Bender, and Air Bender. Unable to provide each element, Kei and Ul were forced to give up on the job for the time being. It wasn’t until many years later that Kei decided he would once again try to retrieve a certain, unique relic that lied within the ancient city. It took Kei time to come across the money to fund a full expedition to the ruins, but when he did, he hired messengers to place posters advertising an Expedition to Ezchift in every major city. Kei had hoped that this would get him the variety of benders he needed to open the sealed door in order to to gain entry into Ezchift. So Kei sat patiently at the Elfsong Tavern in Jang Hui as he waited for others who were to join him on his exploration. Each time someone who wanted to go on the expedition walked in the tavern, Kei would introduce himself and tell them that he was the one who advertised the expedition into Ezchift.

Jurishe Chuyin	Though she was not quite sure what she had expected to find upon following the posted advertisement, this certainly wasn't it. Jurishe peeked into the Elfsong Tavern and found it nearly deserted, save for one or two patrons. Taking a few steps back until she was out of the doorway, she craned her neck upward to check the sign - yes, it definitely said Elfsong - and to verify its name against the poster she held in her hand - yes, it also definitely said Elfsong. Strange. She... supposed that the tale of The Sunken City of Ezchift might not be as popular outside of the Water Tribes, but Jurishe had still expected that the promise of treasure would have brought at least a few more people. Glancing back through the door, the young waterbender hoisted her pack up higher on her shoulder and decided to enter anyway. It was the story that brought her here, more than any reward; she wanted to be part of it, as silly as that might sound. "Hello..?" Jurishe ventured, awkwardly directing her greeting toward both of the separate patrons at once, as she was unsure which she was looking for, "I came because of this poster... the one about the expedition?" She held the advertisement in her hand and waited for any sort of recognition or direction. When the man in the trench coat rose from his table, both introducing himself as "Kei" and announcing that he was the one who organized the venture, Jurishe found herself shaking his hand and giving her own introduction as well - this included her full name, of course, but also to which Tribe she belonged and her abilities as a waterbending healer. "I'm surprised..." She admitted, then, "I didn't think that I'd be the first one here."

Cyrad had been out and about one day just strolling around gathering supplies for dinner and just generally enjoying a nice day in the city of Ba Sing Se when he came across a flier. The flier spoke of an expedition to an old lost city with a name that Cyrad kept forgetting, it went on to say how there would be great treasure split amongst whoever went and would only take a week, it also mentioned danger but training under Master Naseru and living as a mercenary Cyrad thought he would be ok, so he decided to go.

He had to make the trip to the Fire Nation but it wasn't that bad and when he got there Cyrad wasn't sure it was the right place, the town which was pretty small was a bunch of boats floating on water. He didn't much like being in a place so disconnected from the earth and kept catching himself rubbing his stone arm.

After exploring the town a little bit Cyrad was able to find the tavern he was looking for, Elfsong. So he gathered himself and opened the door. As he stepped through the door Cyrad took stock of the tavern it wasn't too lively and when he saw Kei talking to a waterbender.

"Hey, Kei are you here for the lost city thing?" Cyrad then addressed the waterbender. "Hi, I'm Cyrad." Kei told him about how he orginized this which surprised Cyrad, he hadn't Kei was so well off.

Ahlya had been in the Fire Nation Capitol when she had seen the fliers for a grand expedition to the lost city of Ezchift. She had wanted so badly and waited for so long to make it to the Fire Nation, but the idea of an adventure that was worth while was far more important sounding to her. Besides, she was in need of some money, and this trip might be just the thing to help her out for another year or so. So after being in the Fire Nation Capitol for only a couple of days, Ahlya once again boarded a boat to find the Elfsong Tavern in Juang Hui.

She arrived about a week later on the date the flier provided. She found the tavern and checked the wrinkled flier she held in her hands. Yep, this is it, she thought. Ahlya was glad to see a few people had already arrived. It made her feel even better when she found a familiar face... and stone arm.

"Good to see you again, Cyrad," Ahlya greeted. She then addressed the other man and woman he was speaking to. "My name is Ahlya Nita. Which one of you is leading the expedition?" The man declared he was and introduced himself as Kei. "Well, Kei, I hope you have room for one more."

Tatsuya Itou	While still rather unfamiliar to his current surroundings so of course he felt rather...lost. Although he wasn't completely lost since he had the flier which held directions, of course he also had help with some travelers as well. It didn't take long for Tatsuya to finally come to the Tavern, but man was it a journey, mainly because he got lost multiple times along the way and then a small run-in with bandits, thankfully he did receive a new bag full of food and supplies, some of which he didn't know the function of. Looking up at the flier then back towards the Elfsong Tavern he gave a rather glad sigh of relief as he entered the doors. Almost immediately he spotted his first target, a pair of rather slick legs, being rather sneaky he made his way behind the female who introduced herself as 'Ahlya'. Of course given his nature he gave a slight poke at her thigh with a rather perverted smile. "Nice pair of legs." He stated as he stroked his chin with his free hand while having the other rest on his knee. "But I've seen nicer, haha."

Not two minutes behind Ahlya crawled in the slimiest character she had ever met. He was even worse than when she ran into that Akira guy back in the Fire Nation. He came striding on in with his chest and chin held high like he owned the place. The creepy grin he gave her when his eyes locked on to hers resulted in an immediate narrowing of her eyes and a venomous scowl. Her look turned to anger when he bent over to poke her leg. She wasn't enjoying the perverted, smug look on his face.

"Nice pair of legs," he said as he examined them. "But I've seen nicer."

Without a moment's hesitation, Ahlya connected her fist to the creep's jaw in a forceful right hook. The pervert turned away to caress his (hopefully broken) lower jaw while Ahlya moved to the other side of the group away from him. "Trash," she hissed under her breath.

Chouhi	Chouhi slammed down her seventh empty mug of beer, letting out a sigh as she stood to leave. Waving off the calls of disagreement from her new found drinking companions with a smile, she pulled out the flier to find the name of the tavern she was supposed to be in. "Elfsong..." she muttered to herself. She walked outside and asked a citizen for directions, smiling as she walked down the street with her cheeks tinted red from the alcohol. She yawned as she turned down the road, looking around for the sign. When her eyes fell upon it, a wave of nerves overtook her. The feelings were quickly fought down as she walked towards the entrance. Taking a deep breath and putting on a toothy grin, she walked in. "Hey everyone," she shouted, "Name's Chouhi Kayashi. I'm here for that..." her voice trailed off as she squinted at the flier, "the Ezchift expedition. Is there any beer here?" A man in a trench coat stood and introduced himself as Kei, the leader. Next was Jurishe, a waterbender, Cyrad, an earthbender with one stone arm, Ahyla, another earthbender, and Tatsu, a firebender. Chouhi took a seat at the bar and ordered beer for herself, humming as she waited for everyone else to show up so they could leave. The people were definitely interesting, and from the looks of it some knew each other. Looks like she was the stranger.

Xilingshi Nailah Zoraki	In many cases, Xilingshi Nailah Zoraki did not need a reason or an excuse to meet up at a tavern. She was not a social creature, even when drunk, and so she stuck to herself as she ordered her drinks. She could see a lot of people of different cultures, which was odd for even a tavern--at least in this backwater fishing village, anyways. Perhaps these were the people she was looking for--or the ones that would be looking for her. She was also not terribly social--or rather, since she was tipsy, she was not in the mood to go introduce herself, so perhaps the leader of the operation would see the poster in her hand (while the other had her drink), and the signs of her identity all around her. Xili made no effort to hide that she was an airbending master. The bright orange clothes and the sky-blue tattoos that ran across her forehead, arms, and bare feet definitely showed it, and the fact that her orange clothes were not the typical Air Nomad robes... it was clear that this woman was a master, and also a warrior.

The tavern was quickly filling with people, Ahlya was the next one in after Cyrad and he greeted her then she was followed by a firebender who came in with an in appropriate comment, making Cyrad dislike him right off the bat. Ahlya hit the firebender named Tatsu and Cyrad wasn't happy about how this meeting was starting off. Next came in a girl, Cyrad couldn't tell what element she had mastery over but she Had obviously been drinking. So far they had every type of bender here save an airbender if the girl who just walked in wasn't one or the other who was sitting at the bar drinking, in bright airbender robes, wasn't joining the group. Though if she was Cyrad had no clue why she wasn't approaching the group. Since everyone was starting to take seats and order drinks Cyrad did the same but he sipped on his slowly and wouldn't get another, preferring to keep a clear head before a job. He waited for Kei to talk to the group and give them more information.

Cyrad walked over to Ahlya and offered to buy her a drink, then shot a dirty look at the firebender. "What an asshole, how are you doing by the way. Are you liking the Fire Nation?"

Tatsuya Itou	Had merely side stepped away from the rather quick right hook that was darting towards him with a certain dance, of course just to mess around with the others he made it seem like he was struck by moving his body with the girl's rhythm. "Hn?" He questioned as he looked at the girl then at the male with the rock for an arm. "Well to answer your first question, I'm fineeee.~" He said in a cheerful manner as he stepped back to regain his posture. "Of course, I'm uninjured and rather healthy.~" Tatsu said in the same tone as he cased a smile towards Cyrad, "Also, what's the fire nation?" He questioned with his arms folded across his chest and his held tilted, he wore a rather confused look on his face. Rather quick to change the subject he turned his attention to Ahlya, the girl who attempted to hit him. "And I've been called many names, but I as born named Tatsuya Itou, although I prefer Tatsu for short.~" Right off the bat you could tell that Tatsu was rather ecstatic to see other benders he only heard about, although he couldn't really tell off the top of his head who's what. "Hmm judging from your appearance you're an Earth bender right?" He questioned before turing towards the girl known as Jurishe, "And you're a water bender, right?" He questioned before turning towards Kei. Bringing himself closer to the guy he examined him thoroughly before giving a small sigh. "And you're an odd one." He said rather surprisingly given what he just did. " Fiddling with his orange-beaded necklace he pondered the situation thoroughly since he was clearly the odd one out given his upbringing and his isolation from the world around him. "Buuuuut~ it must've been through dumb luck that I got some helpful directions from those bandits or else I'd never find this place~ who knew the world would be so laaarrrgggee.~" He said like a child as he ordered a drink himself mimicking what everyone else was doing.

Jurishe Chuyin	Since the first two to show up after her seemed to know one another, Jurishe had been quiet, only answering questions directed at her with a simple "yes" or "no", as needed. However, with the arrival of the woman who already reeked of alcohol, the rather intimidating airbender, and now the perverted, almost hyperactive man... the young waterbender felt very, very out of place. Shifting her weight from one foot to the other, there were two predominant thoughts in Jurishe's mind. One; she was glad that she had worn full-length traveling pants rather than shorts, since they would hopefully deter any unsolicited touching from said pervert. Two; maybe she wasn't ready for something like this so soon after leaving home, with so many strange people? Still, she decided to tough it out and wait, at least until Kei addressed the group as a whole.

Chouhi	Chouhi watched lazily at the actions of some of her new companions as she drank away happily, a smile on her face. However, despite her smile, she was carefully examining every person in the room. Except for one lady and two men, everyone seemed to keep to themselves. Most were ordering drinks, waiting for Kei, the leader, to announce exactly how the expedition would be carried out. Yawning, Chouhi figured she'd try to start a conversation with someone. Scanning the bar occupants once more, she stood and made her way over to the waterbender clad in blue clothing. "If you're here for the expedition, we'll be working together I suppose," Chouhi grinned as she stuck out her hand for a handshake, "If you hadn't heard before, my name's Chouhi. Wanna drink some alcohol?" It was a stupid question, but she was too drunk to care. She was nearly three drinks away from passing out and her mind was overflowing with random ideas. Making friends with her new companions was at the top of the idea list, as she did not enjoy being a stranger among friends. Perhaps drinking wasn't the best way to introduce herself.

Kei	The tavern was full of many who wanted to go on the expedition, and most of them had already introduced him. In fact the only one who didn’t introduce themselves yet was an Air Bender who kept to themselves and didn’t interact with the others. She didn’t have to introduce herself however as Kei already knew who she was. Xilingshi, leader of the Tekin-Kaze. Back when working as a assassin, Kei memorized the names and faces of high priority targets. Xilingshi was one of the faces he learned. Although he had no desire to fight Xilingshi at this point, he wasn’t sure if she knew of what he once was. Even though he was ‘supposed’ to be considered dead, showing off his powers may make her realize his actual identity. Kei approached her calmly and introduced himself as Kei who was founding the expedition. Also wanting to know her intentions, Kei asked why Xilingshi came on the expedition

Jurishe Chuyin	Jurishe tried to keep her expression as neutral as possible, when Chouhi approached her directly, smelling distinctly of the sharp, strong alcohol she'd been drinking. She didn't want to offend anyone that she might be traveling with, of course, but it was hard enough for her to treat the injuries of drunk Tribe members when the occasion arose. "Ah - yes, I'm here for the expedition, so long as he'll have me," Jurishe answered, shaking hands as quickly as she could without being considered rude, and gesturing toward Kei at the same time to indicate who "he" was. When the offer of sharing a drink came up, however, the waterbender wanted a way out of the conversation, as quickly as possible. "I don't... really drink, you see," She answered hesitantly, unable to hide how awkward the question made her feel, "I - well - I am thirsty, though; I think I'll ask the bartender what else they have here, that's non-alcoholic..." With that handled as gracefully as the eighteen-year-old could manage, Jurishe nodded her head in acknowledgement of Chouhi and moved away, heading right for the bar counter where Xilingshi sat watching the group, now accompanied by their host (or was it benefactor?), Kei. "H - hello," She smiled apologetically, addressing them both and praying that she wouldn't look like an idiot by falling over as she tried to take a seat at the bar, "Sorry to bother you... I just, um, need to get a bit closer..." Managing to get into the chosen barstool without making an ass of herself, thankfully, Jurishe smoothed out her jacket and offered a slightly more confident smile to each of them before going to order herself a drink. "Ah - excuse me? Bartender?" Jurishe tried to catch the man's attention, but he seemed to be very busy cleaning some spotty tankards, and thus neglected to notice her.

Ahlya	Ahlya gladly accepted Cyrad's drink offer. She could use one if she was going to have to put up with a guy like Tatsu. "The Fire Nation was great," Ahlya replied to Cyrad's question about her trip. "I wasn't there very long, obviously, and I only saw the Capitol, but I'll go back again and explore around for sure. I've still got some sites I want to see." Tatsu interrupted again to blither his nonsense about who he was and his real name and all that. Ahlya rolled her eyes and took down a large gulp of beer once the bartender finally brought it over. "Hmm judging from your appearance you're an Earth bender right?" asked Tatsu. "Nothing gets by you, does it?" Ahlya replied sarcastically. At least that got him to turn his attention away from her. "So what have you been up to since the desert?" Ahlya asked Cyrad before taking another swig.

Xilingshi Nailah Zoraki	...and with rank came reputation. It seemed that this fellow who was organizing this expedition at least recognized her, but then again, while it was not official, Xilingshi was technically one of the highest-ranking leaders of the Air Nomads, and so she was perhaps important to recognize. Her introduction to the man was brief. "You know me by name already," she indicated, although noticed that the waterbender from earlier was approaching her as well. "I am Xilingshi Nailah Zoraki, leader and founder of the Tekina-Kaze. My reasons for coming are my own." She was interested in the ruins of this legendary city, and for what kind of knowledge might sleep down there. Perhaps there would be remnants of ancient Air Nomad culture. The waterbender failed to introduce herself by name, but that did not bother Xilingshi. Unless you were a close friend, a small child, or one of her soldiers, Xilingshi did not care what your name was, for she never addressed people by name unless it was something very direct. "Girl, you stay as long as you like." she reassured her in her blunt, forward manner. She wished no ill upon this young woman, and she too was being wary of the drunks and perverts and other lowlives that seemed to have stumbled into this expedition, probably hoping to make a decent coin. She had not seen anyone thus far that seemed worthy of respect yet. most of them were neutral, such as the waterbender, the event organizer, and a large earthbender with a stone arm, but the rest of the group was either uninteresting or worthy of scorn, so she would keep communications with them to a minimum until they proved they were worthy to be spoken to.

Kei	Kei looked around the tavern. Those who stepped up to join his expedition did have varying, unique personalities. These wide range of personalities may become a problem for teamwork later on as Tatsu seemed to have already angered both of the Earth Benders and Kei was 95% sure the Chouhi was drunk, but he wasn’t too worried about it, Xilinghshi the leader of Tekina-Kaze and Kei knew that alone is no small feat. Cyrad was here well and Kei knew from personal experience that Cyrad was a very skilled fighter. Kei didn’t know much about Ahyla, but based on her actions, she seemed like someone who could manage herself well in a fight. Finally Jurishe, who seemed shy and timid, but was a healer. Kei knew that healers could easily determine the fate of battles at times. Kei decided it was time to begin. After calling for the attention of everyone in the tavern, Kei went over what Ezchift was in the event somebody didn’t know. He went on about the mysterious catastrophe that over took the city causing it to sink into the ocean. Kei also told everyone he knew a way to get inside the city despite how deep under the ocean it was. “The reason why I needed others for this expedition,” Kei went on, “Is a sealed door blocks entrance into the sunken city. This door will only open when Benders of each of the four elements; Fire, Water, Earth, and Air, are present. With those that requirements met here amongst us, we should now be able to enter the city.” Kei warned, “Keep in mind that what exists in that city is unknown to everyone, and that includes the dangers. If you wish to abandon this expedition, do so now.” Thankfully, no one did. Kei introduced everyone’s to each other and directed the boat he managed to buy solely for the expedition. The boat itself looked very cheap and was only a two story boat (Above and Below Deck) and had a single mast in the center. It was sea worthy however and would get its crew to the needed destination. With everyone aboard the boat and settled, Kei set sail out to the ocean toward the entrance of Ezchift. Most of the ride was uneventful and everybody mostly got along with each other (Sort of). Although late in the evening, the boat had entered a heavy fog. Something about the fog bothered Kei. Sure the location they were in wasn’t one that normally had fogs, but it wasn't that which bothered him. It was that the fog simply didn't seem natural. As they went on, the fog only grew stronger. Kei finally asked Xilingshi for a favor. “I suppose you wouldn't happen to be able to bend away this fog would you? There is something about it that is bothering me."

Cyrad spoke to Ahlya briefly about how he had gone back to Ba Sing Se and resumed his tutelage under Master Naseru but it wasn't long before he found the flier and had to make his way here. Kei cut off their conversation by calling for everyone's attention. He told the story of the lost city and about the lock that required benders of each of the elements, or was it for the avatar Cyrad thought to himself, he ended the story with a warning of the dangers and a offer for anyone to leave. Of course no one did, not after coming here already. Kei then Led the group to a boat that wasn't anything special but Cyrad wasn't one for luxury anyway so it didn't bother him. Their journey was mostly uneventful and Cyrad did his best to get along with everyone which he did by mostly keeping to himself save a few conversations with Kei or Ahlya.

As it got late the boat encountered a thick fog that had an unpleasant aura that accompanied it that bothered Cyrad, but he wasn't sure if it was the fog or just his normal dislike of being so far for solid ground. Kei was on the deck speaking to the airbender but Cyrad wasn't sure what he was saying. Cyrad just stood there fiddling with his sword handle.

Xilingshi Nailah Zoraki	No one ever said that the journey would be easy, or that Xilingshi had to like or even get to know anyone else on this expedition except for perhaps the man who would lead her to her destination. nonetheless, Xilingshi waws patient and didn't end up killing anyone. She got a room to herself, and so that was good enough for her to stay away from the others. Despite her skills as a military commander, Xilingshi was an introvert at heart and thus was not comfortable around large groups unless she was leading them as their commander. In fine, outside of military matters, Xili was fairly inept socially. Thus, she spent most of her time alone. One night though, she was out on the deck, enjoying the general silence of the aren, despite the fog that was growing thicker around them. The leader of the expedition (whom Xilingshi had never really wasted the time getting to know the name of) asked her if she could get rid of it. "Aye." she nodded. Xi was not much of a show-off, but she was smart and strong and knew how to get it done. Stepping to the front of the boat, she took a few deep breaths and then used some wicked-strong airbending maneuvers to disperse the fog in front of them as long as they needed. One thing was certain--those tattoos this girl wore were not just decorations. These were the symbols of a true Airbending Master.

Kei	To Kei, it seemed that Xilingshi had a very easy time Air Bending away the fog. The fog rapidly dispersed and the air became clear revealing everything around. With the air around the boat now clear, it was possible for Kei to see that they were surrounded from Left and right side as well as directly in front from three other ships. On top of their sails, the three other ships had a Jolly Roger (Skull and Crossbones) flag hoisted revealing that these were pirates. “AMBUSH!” Kei shouted so all on board his ship could hear. From the two ships on the left and right side 6 water benders turned the water around Kei’s boat into ice, halting all movement of the ship. 10 armed pirates from either side jumped on to the ice and began charging the ship Kei and company were on. From the ship directly in front, an Air Bender was using a powerful gust of constant air toward Kei’s ship in order to try and slow the movements of everyone on board. 3 Fire benders from the same ship began targeting the mast and sail of Kei’s ship with Fire Balls in order to burn and permanently immobilize the ship. 5 Pirates from the ship directly ahead also began firing arrows toward Kei and Xilingshi. Kei dodged the first few arrows and swore to himself. Pirates weren’t supposed to be out in these waters and his ship wasn’t well prepared for combat. Being out at sea would also give a huge disadvantage to Cyrad and Ahyla who were earth benders.

Jurishe Chuyin	Though she had been out on the deck, enjoying the ocean wind before the fog was cleared, the call of "Ambush!" almost made Jurishe rush belowdecks... almost. Instead, just before the water around the ship froze and locked them in place, the young waterbender summoned enough to the deck to create her own ice - a large ice wall to help block the incoming arrows. After a moment's hesitation, she ducked behind the new barrier herself, unsure now of what to do. Her eyes were drawn to her companions, who were surging up from below to the defense of their vessel.

Chouhi	Chouhi had been excluding herself in her room, annoyed beyond belief at the lack of alcohol on the boat. She was fidgety, not used to being sober. Paranoia left her awake the night when she suddenly heard someone yell AMBUSH on the upper deck. Sprinting at full speed, she was on the upper deck with her sword first and looked around to quickly take in the situation. Kei was with the airbender, Xilingshi, and both were the targets of arrows sent from the ships that had surrounded the boat. Next she noticed Jurishe taking cover behind a wall of ice as arrows were fired at her also. The boat wasn't moving, and there were benders on the front boat along with pirates moving in. Taking a deep breath, she drew her sword and tentatively dropped herself on the ice, heading for the pirates moving in on the left side of the boat. Some of the archers seemed to take notice of her now, beginning to shoot at her. She barely maneuvered around each one. Upon reaching the pirates, she slid under the first swing and quickly turned to slash the pirate's back. She launched herself forward from her back foot, moving away from the rest of the swings of the other pirates. She turned back around to face her enemies once she landed, narrowing her eyes to best assess the situation. However, that's when she realized that she was indeed fighting pirates- and where there were pirates, there had to be...rum? "Rum!" Chouhi screamed as a battle cry, sprinting directly towards the group again. She couldn't slide under the swing this time, so she parried the blow and thrust her sword into the man's chest, ducking quickly as another swing came at her. She turned and slashed the pirate's neck, throwing his now limp body into the strike that came from her left side. She slammed the hilt of her sword into the man's head, knocking him unconscious. She was panting heavily now, letting out a curse when she received a cut on her left side. She jumped away and covered the cut with her free hand. She glanced over the gash quickly; it didn't seem very deep, but it definitely hurt. She moved her sword hand around to see if any pain was felt, but when it was only minor she jumped back into the group. There were six left, and hopefully someone would handle the ten coming in from the other side. She rushed towards the first pirate, moving away from the blade as it violently came down and punched him, knocking him back. She turned and caught the sword of the pirate behind her and blew it off to the side. A quick cut to his throat sent him down. She dropped under another violent swing and launched herself to shoulder a the pirate who was attempting to help the one who had been punched stand. She stabbed her sword into the man's chest who she had punched, and then she cut the neck of the man she had just shouldered. That left the final three pirates, who all seemed shaken. Chouhi quickly rid of them, disappearing onto the boat from which the pirates had emerged once the final one had fallen. She trusted that everyone else could handle themselves.

Ahlya	Ahlya's stomach started feeling uneasy the moment the crew stepped onto Kei's boat. She got terrible sea sickness and was ill prepared for a voyage on the open ocean. The alcohol in her system, limited though it was, had quickly become her enemy once they were out on the water. She sat on the starboard side of the small ship doing breathing exercises to keep what was in her stomach down while the boat rocked from side to side. She held a rock the size of her fists in either hand that she grabbed before getting on so she could have some feeling of security. Being out on the sea was always risky for an earthbender; especially one that couldn't metal bend. She didn't know how long she had sat there on the edge of the ship, but when she opened her eyes again they were surrounded in fog. The airbender in their company easily cleared the area only to pull back the curtain on a small armada of pirate ships. Arrows began to rain down along with fireballs to the mast. Ahlya stood up quickly, ignoring her irritated stomach, and broke the rocks she held in to smaller ones. Each rock was about the size of a grape. They all floated around her ready at her disposal. She launched them one by one at the archers on the starboard side of the ship. A few of the rocks were lost in the process, but she did manage to get a few back. Each one nailed each of her targets hard in the forehead that sent them off their perches either onto the hard, wooden decks of their boats or into the murky water below. Only one archer was able to hit her with a near miss to her left ear. It wasn't exactly a hit, though. It was more of a scratch that bled a little bit. Ahlya returned fire and sent him toppling into the water. With a little more than a dozen rocks still floating around her, Ahlya made it a priority to use them to help her sink the pirate ships. It was probably the only way they were going to make it out other than commandeering one of the other vessels. After seeing the damage that had already been done to Kei's ship, she figured the latter. Kei's boat was starting to look like it wouldn't survive.

Cyrad saw the girl who had rushed off the boat with sword in hand, she wasn't bending and he got the idea that she might not be a bender but didn't have time to dwell on it. Though his honor called for him to rush and aid her the best way to help would be to go to the other side of the boat and deal with those pirates. The only earth he had though was his arm and the emergency rock he kept in his beard so he drew his sword and did things in a more simple manor.

He jumped off the boat and hit the ice meeting the ten charging pirates. The first tried to cut him down with and over head strike but Cyrad blocked it with his rock arm and opened the man's belly. He stepped aside and got into a quick engagement with another pirate but was able to come out on top by stepping on the man's toe and pressing forward, a stab to the prone man ended him. Two then attacked Cyrad at once, it was everything he could do to keep them at bay but he was able to win by shooting off his stone fingers into one of the men's chest and lopping off the other's arm while he was stunned. A pirate had managed to sneak up behind Cyrad though and stab him in the back of the leg with a spear. Cyrad attacked him next but with the wounded leg it took him much longer to take him out letting the other five pirates get past.

Tatsuya Itou	Sat alone at the back of the boat as he thought about the other warriors back on the island as they sailed, he had so much to tell them like his adventure on the ship and meeting all the other types of benders, even though a few of them didn't particularly find him appealing, due to his behaviors and mannerisms. Chuckling to himself he allowed his fingers to drift in the waters below. "Hn?" Tatsu said as he felt the temperature of the water drop significantly before causing the boat to be surrounded by the ice, around the same time the cry of an 'Ambush' was heard aloud. "Oooh show tim--ouch!" He exclaimed as he noticed that his hand was incased in ice as well. Exhaling a sigh of disappointment he set his hand ablaze in order to free himself. Giving off an excited smile as be twirled his freed hand before joining the others in the fray. Suddenly was caught off guard by a multitude of fireballs. "Eh?" He said as he formed a 'small' fireball in his hand. "Like this right?" He asked as he hurled his own fireball at the one in the center to cause a chain explosion, of course this was simply due to Tatsu's dumb luck. "Lucky Strike~!" Tatsu exclaimed before being surrounded by firebenders attempting to stink their ship, of course it was on it's last legs. Scratching his head in an oblivious fashion he approached his opponents by their stance. "You guys aren't going to get very far~" He said in a cheerful manner before readying his own style. "Oh well~" he shrugged as he began his assault on the ones who surrounded him by using his rather confused and fluid movements as a counter. After a while Tatsu became victorious, although the ambush didn't subdue in the slightest. Gritting his teeth he in excitement he decided to intercept the firebenders by blocking and redirecting their 'fire-power' at them while not perfect, it was rather successful.
