Personality: As Tai is not able to bend any element, he seems to become detached to activities such as practicing ones' bending. Instead, he chose the path of a warrior with the Southern Water Tribe. He seems to be quite loyal to the Southern Water Tribe and it's people, always helping them when he can and when he is needed. He can be rather serious when it becomes a nessecity, and will take the heat for anyone else if he counts them up as a friend. He seems to be rather clever and intelligent, making up for his lack of bending ability. Tai seems to have no quarrels with being in-charge and often saying that he hates public speaking anyway. Despite his loyalist attitude, he seems to be against going off to join a war effort or something of the sort. As a hunter, he deeply respects the animals he kills, thanking them for the use of their body for food, clothing and other things. He clearly would hate it however, to kill off an animal that belonged to someone else.

Tai seems to appreciate the traditions of other nations, even if he is discriminated by them. He comes off as eager when presented with an opportunity to learn about other cultures. He holds distate for criminals and often hates to show them mercy. Tai also seems to be a bit of a strategist, though doesn't care to demonstrate it often unless he has too. All in all. Tai is a very loose young man who likes to see where the current will take him. Despite attributes likes bravery and courage, and handling pressure surprisingly well, he just wants to be himself. He may often use sarcasm to get his point across, though he dislikes doing it to friends. He is also quite flexable and able to easily accept that an enemy is helping him, though he isn't afraid to fight them when they turn against him.

Abilities: Tai Lin is a hunter of the Southern Water Tribe, meaning he is also trained as a warrior. He cannot bend any element, making him a non-bender and often making bending the one thing he can't fight against. However, Tai makes up for his weaknesses with his own strengths in battle. He can be cunning and clever, sly and decisive. Despite insecurities about his own skills, Tai Lin can be very proficient in battle. Tai Lin, since a young age was taught how to Chi Block as a way to defend himself against bending opponents. Though it isn't exactly his strong point, it's possible his best skill in battle against a bender. But he has some doubt in his mind when it comes to his abilities as a warrior, often failing to see that he could be able to win, and often just gives up with the belief that he couldn't compare to a bender. Tai is also skilled at employing strategies, but they vary on level and risks. He can't guarantee that his strategies will work and he is often worried to put forth to make a suggestion on important matters, another reason he seems to dislike war for. As Tai is a hunter with the Southern Water Tribe, he is by definition, skilled at making crude and rudementry traps, skinning and tanning animal furs, creating shelter, tracking his prey and hiding from sight. He is also quite quick on his feet, due to the swiftness of striking at his prey while hunting and for being able to Chi Block effectively.

Standing at a height of 5'10, and weighing 150lbs, Tai Lin is a fit hunter from the Southern Water Tribe. His body has a light brown skin color, something most Water Tribe members have. He keeps himself in good shape, as he must to protect his Tribe and hunt for them. His eyes are slanted just slightly, with the iris being a greyish-blue color, a mix of the two common Water Tribe eye colors. His face is of average definition, and his hair is a dark brown and put in a typical hair style for Water Tribe males, the Wolf Tail. (For those of you who don't know what a Wolf Tail is, I'll provide a link below my appearance.)

Tai chooses to where the typical attire of a Water Tribe member. A set of blue anorak and trousers lined and trimmed with white fur, accompanied by mittens and mukluks. He doesn't seem to have any complaints about the clothing, as it keeps him warm in the cold weather of his homeland. However, Tai will gladly where lighter clothing outside of the cold weather. Dressed in blue, loose-fitting pants held up by a white cloth that runs over a white, sleeveless shirt. On the back of his shirt is the Water Tribe symbol. He still wears his mukluks and regardless of what Tai Lin wears, he seems to have a place to carry his boomerang,

Item Name Southern Water Tribe Armour
Materials: Fur.
Description: The body armour is dyed hide, typically from wolves or other native animals. It has fur around the edges.  The gauntlets and greaves are boiled leather, and the helmet is always wolf's hide, specifically the head of the wolf. For what it's worth, it protects against the cold and most bending prowess, but weapons often bring the worst out of the armour.

History: Tai Lin was the only child of his family. On the day he was born, his mother passed awat after giving birth, and the cause of death was undetermined. The young boy grew up playing friendly games with other boys and often being the leader among them. He took great pride when with them and showed an interest in hunting. He was very friendly and looked out for the others, often helping them when they got hurt. His father once grew concerned for his son's empathy towards others, but later grew away from it. His father grew away from it because Tai was just incredibly loyal to his Tribe and wanted to protect them. Between the time he was born and when he became 14, Tai's father began teaching him Chi Blocking. This training became a part of Tai's everyday life and his only defense against aggresive benders.

Before the age of 14, Tai began hunting with his father, and they would use weapons and traps to capture and kill their prey. Though Tai wasn't naturally violent or a killer, he took it as fun and enjoyed hunting. He began developing a habit of praying to the animal he just killed, asking for forgiveness and thanking it for providing his Tribe with food and fur. When he became 14, he was of the age and his father took him out to perform ice dodging. Though it was a rocky experience, Tai walked away having earned the Mark of the Wise.

As he continued to grow, he kept up his hunting skills and Chi Blocking training with his father. He would start hunting without his father and became skilled in the use of a bladed boomerang, something that his father had said belonged to his mother. At some point he also became curious about other nations and began learning he had a knack for strategy and was intelligent, or so he would say his father claimed.

so, just a few minor thoughts, but nothing major.
130 lbs for 5'10" is almost considered underweight as opposed to fit. just sayin'. but not a big deal.

moreover, I do not see reasons why the other nations would discriminate against him unless he is a criminal or something, but that is also not a big deal.
it seems a lot of people like having one or both of their parents dead for no real reason either, but... too many people do it for me to really try to nab 'em all.
