Sadako Irizari Kishel

"mmm..." it took the earthbender a few moments to process this. While she might have been 5 years this girl's superior, she did not know very much about the outside world, and so so much was new to her.

"so what're we looking for a waterbendin' teacher for?" she asked groggily, smacking her lips again. "purple dragon? where?"

she shook her head rapidly to try and wake herself up. "uhh... aye. I think breakfast is a great way to start the morning."
this was something she agreed on, no questions asked. x)

"For dancing remember." Seira said, standing back as Sadako sat up in bed smacking her lips. She plopped back down on the foot of Sadako's bed and pulled her Parka on but smiled when Sadako shook her head. "Never mind about the dragon." She said feeling suddenly peppy despite her few hours of sleep. "I'll meet you downstairs for breakfast. Maybe we can catch someone early."and bounded out the door.

Sadako Irizari Kishel

"oh, right!" Sadako shook her head. "goodness, I must be really out of it this morning!"
Yes, she wasn't used to waking up like this, but she'd manage. There were far worse fates than this, after all, and Sadako was not really one to complain. Instead, she would try to find a solution to her problems. That was how she had avoided being cooped up within the walls of her estate forever.

"mmkay..." she nodded, "I always thought waterbenders liked being up more at night and sleeping in?"
it was just her thoughts. either way, Sadako soon cleaned up and got dressed and then met Seira downstairs.
"ready to go?" she asked her friend

"Sure." Seira said leading the way out the inn and into the somewhat crowded street. There weren't a lot of people around and the cold air was cutting through her parka but her resolve to find a teacher kept her warm. "I think I saw a temple out that way when we were coming in. Let's check it out."

Sadako Irizari Kishel

Sadako bundled up in her boots and parka and such before leaving the room. the cold did not affect her that much as a result, and perhaps also because she came from a long line of very resilient stock.

"I'm right behind you." she smiled, following her friend. she had seen lots of temples the night before, but was intrigued by them because they were so different from the ones in the earth kingdom. Time to find out what they had in store.

Striding through the somewhat empty streets, Seira followed the tops of the temples to their smooth roads paved with ice. As their tops grew closer she began to run. "Come on!" She shouted, looking over her shoulder at Sadako. As she turned back around, her foot caught in a hole and she went face first towards the ice.
"Woah!" She cried as the ice rushed up to her face but immediately retreated as she righted herself. She let out a sigh of relief before she noticed that the temples were brushing by her and the one at the end was getting larger and larger. Putting out her arms like it would help slow her down, she braced for the pile of snow she was heading for.

Sadako Irizari Kishel

Despite being a tough, stocky, and resilient little earthbender, Sadako was alarmingly light on her toes and feet. She had a roguelike elegance to her movements, despite her large feet. she was almost skating across the ice, right behind Seira till her friend hit a bump and ate snow. she pivoted on ehr heel to turn to see if she was alright.

as Seira righted herself, Sadako continued her skating, breezing past the temples to the one at the end of the row.
"You okay back there?" she called out, "don't crash into this snowdrift!"

Seira could see Sadako gracefully skating past her on the frozen ground and was for a moment jealous of the earth bender's grace on the frozen surface. Shaking the snow out of her hair, she found herself sliding once again but this time in a different direction, thankfully not in the direction of the snow drift.
"I think I'll be okay!" She shouted to Sadako as she gently smacked into a wall then turned around and pushed off in an aimlessly straight line. SHe continued sliding about and the firstfew tries gave way to sudden laughter before she found herself sliding in new more annoying directions. Every so often she would see Sadako drift by gracefully before Seira eventually found herself on her ass, in the snow drift she was trying to avoid. At least I'm by the temple she thought as she looked up to see the enormous doors opening very slowly.

Sadako Irizari Kishel

"alright." Sadako called back out. "let me know if you need help!"
Sadako found that she had quite the knack for skating around on the minimal-friction surfaces of the ice around them.
the earthbender laughed now and again--not at her friend's expense, but at how much fun she was having doing this.

She stopped, however, when she noticed the doors of the temple opening. her large feet and solid stances were able to bring her to a rather smooth stop, and so she didn't land on her face or her butt in her attempts to kill her momentum.

"do you think they know we're out here?" she asked her friend.

Seira pulled herself up the stairs and when she sat at the doors she shrugged her shoulders to Sadako's question. "Most likely." She said as she got up from her seated position on the steps. "Should we go?" She asked softly peering into the darkness behind the doors.

Sadako Irizari Kishel

The more Sadako thought about it, the more it seemed likely, given that they hadn't exactly been quiet out there, and two dark-blue figures among a field of light blue ice would be fairly easy to spot, since they were not exactly trying to be stealthy.

Sadkao glanced from her friend to the opening doors.
"yes." she nodded. "yes we should."
without waiting for Seira's reply, she began to head up the stairs towards the temple doors.

Watching Sadako disappear into the darkness, she silently emboldened herself to follow. Her eyes took some time to get used to the darkness as she occasionally skidded on the floor and soon she was well into the temple where it was well lit. But there was no sign of Sadako, somehow Seira had lost her in the dark. Making a face, she peered back into the darkness before she felt presence behind her. Turning around, she found herself face to face with a man. Two long whiskers of white hair dropped down the sides of his face making him look like a lemur cat while a single white pony tail hung down from his head.
"Who are you." His question seemed to be a statement as if he already knew who she was.
"Ummm..." Emi managed to throw out, earning a displeased look from the man.
'Great going genius.' she yelled at herself mentally.

Sadako Irizari Kishel

Sadako made it inside and found herself surrounded by shadows. being used to stealthily evading officials or anyone in general, Sadako managed to slip by unnoitced. however, after she heard the voice of a man and the voice of Seira, she turned back around, suddenly appearing next to the two people.

"uhh... hey?" she waved sheepishly at the older man. she also exchanged glances with her friend to see what she was thinking.

"There you are!" Seira exclaimed, turning away from the older man's harsh face. Sadako had just appeared out of the shadows and they exchanged a glance. Seira knew her eyes displayed a bit of fear and her heart felt like it was jumping in her throat. Turning back around she bowed deeply to the man. "I would like to be your student in water bending." She was surprised by the clarity of her voice. There was silence from the man.

Sadako Irizari Kishel

Sadako was much more a practicalist or a literalist, and so she wasn't exactly certain on how waterbending would help an earthbender, since Sadako could not bend water.
She did stay beside her friend though, although she also remained quiet and polite, just as she had been used to back within the walled confines of her home back in Ba Sing Se.

Sadako also bowed, although hers was more out of respect than anything else.

There was absolute silence in the room and Seira felt as if her heart was about to fall out her chest. Her stomach settled when she caught Sadako bowing along side her, though she didn't know why.The man was silent in front of her and had an expression set in stone. "You want to learn water bending?" He asked in a toneless voice. Seira nodded eagerly. "Korak! Come here!" The man yelled into a hallway where a younger man emerged with a pitcher in hand.
"Yes Master?"
"You are teaching this young..." he trailed off looking at her disdainfully, "To waterbend."
Korak looked at her somewhat skepticly and she glared at him forcing his gaze away.
"Yes Master."

Charisma was not exactly Sadako's strong suit. she could be polite, but that was about it. she watched the master in front of them, and listened to his words, while at the same time remaining stoic and quiet. She was not nervous; but she was intrigued, at least to the point of not speaking.

she was in this for her friend, and little more, to be honest. This was Seira's move to make.

Seira watched the old master walk off into another corridor. She waited until he disappeared before looking at Korak to lead the way. He stared back at her for a moment before walking off in the opposite direction. As he started receding, Seira turned to Sadako and grinned. "Lets go!" she turned and ran to catch up to Korak outside where he proceeded to yell at her as she went through various forms. "Teach me all you can." She said standing in front of him. The sun had already set when he let her go, and her clothing was sticking to her in uncomfortable places and her arms and legs were shaking slightly from exertion. He had not gone easy on her but she waqs grinning from ear to ear. Her smile was contagious since Korak was standing at the top of the stairs grinning back at her.
"Come back tomorrow for another lesson." Korak called down to her from the steps of the temple before he disappeared inside.

Sadako Irizari Kishel

While Charisma was not one of Sadako's stronger suits, discipline was, and so Sadako was a keen, cunning, and swift learner.
She followed instructions to the best of her ability, just as she had when Seira had given her pointers, and corrected herself when she made mistakes. That was just how Sadako rolled.

She did not overwork herself though, instead keeping a level-headed calm that helped her get through her situations. Thus, she was not hot and sweaty in her clothes but noticed that her friend was.
"so are we going back to the room?" she asked, "you look like you're ready to get out of your clothes... I mean, cuz you look really sweaty and stuff..."

Seira was skipping ahead of Sadako, a wide grin on her face. She barely noticed her sweaty state or the fact that her clothing was sticking to her. On an adrenaline high, she ran in a zigg-zagging pattern before returning to Sadako on light feet.
"so are we going back to the room?" Sadako asked and Seira nodded, her eyelids suddenly feeling heavy. "you look like you're ready to get out of your clothes... I mean, cuz you look really sweaty and stuff..."
Seira looked at her arms curiously as if noticing that she was encased in sweat stained clothing. "Sure..." She mumbled. The excited high was leaving her slowly and by the time they reached the inn, she was almost asleep on her feet.

Sadako didn't mind it. she was comfortable enough in her own clothing, although she also made sure that Seira didn't fall asleep or pass out on the way there or something.

she softly squeezed her friend's shoulders, wondering what she was going to do next.

The following hours after the training session were a blur in Siera's mind. Only her feet and the stairs she was climbing were the sole focus of her attention. In the morning, she woke up in the bathroom with her head resting against the edge of the tub. Sitting up, she blinked, yawned and stretched, the last she immediately regretted. 'Mother of Kai!' was the first thought that swam into her mind as her muscles as well as stiff clothing objected to her moving around. Seira reeled for a moment before turning to the tub, slightly blinded by light coming in from a high window. Before long there was steaming hot water that had loosed the knots in her muscles before she remembered that day's training session. "Dragons help me." She groaned looking at the ceiling.

By this time, Sadako had let Seira do whatever she would, and she had undressed and gone to sleep, missing some of that beloved sleeptime that she was so used to getting.

by the time Seira was back, Sadako was soundly asleep, sleeping like a stone. it would be virtually impossible to wake her until morning or perhaps unless something huge happened or something.

Seira Sūn

When Seira finally found it within herself to get out of the water, her muscles had mostly relaxed and were no longer hurting. The light in the other room was off, she could see under the crack in the door. Sadako was most likely asleep like she was in a few minutes, that gave her plenty of time to take care of herself before she fell asleep. Pulling her damp hair into a pony tail then wrapping the hair around the base into a bun, she left it to dry. Her bag of toiletries was laying open next to her, she pulled out a small container of cream and twisted the cover off with quick flick of her wrist and began to massage it into her skin. When she reached her arm, she paused and traced her finger along the roughened skin of her shoulder. The flesh there, no longer hurt and was an annoyance to her. Smearing cream over it she dressed and went to bed.

Sadako Irizari Kishel

Sadako slept soundly and solidly, for several hours. her dreams were tranquil and happy, most of them involving dancing or colors or other pretty things. She envisioned herself in an endless field surrounded by blue skies, letting the grass tickle the soles of her bare feet as she ran happily through it, the breeze in her hair. It was almost like she had seen the place before, but Sadako didn't recognize it if she had.

One might think that she would wake up earlier than her partner if she had gone to bed earlier, but she was still tired form missing out on sleep the previous morning, and so instead, Sadako was going to sleep in tonight/today unless there was an emergency or something.
