Renayu

I arrived to the Palace after my strange encounter at the tea shop with some wierd guy. I swear some people are very strange. I fixed my outfit. I wore a dark blue shirt that looked similair to my warriors. The Fire Nation was.... well, hot. I wore a skirt that stopped below my knee caps with my tan boots. i didnt expect this type of temperature change.

I walked into the Palace and stood out side of the Fire Lord's grand room where she has met several people before. i was here for a reason, and it needed to be addressed and fast.

Shula Njoo

Shula was seeing over the preparations for the arrival of the Southern Water Tribe Chief, Renayu. They were going quite well, and she managed to have them done moments before Renayu was supposed to arrive; changing quickly into a fresh, lightly patterned kimono, she allowed her hair to be teased on top of her head and pinned into place.

With literally a second to spare, Shula ran towards the grand doors of the throne room, and threw them open with a flustered smile. "Chief Renayu!" she said with perhaps too much enthusiasm, but she really hoped to make a good impression on her. She stepped aside, indicating for Renayu to enter the room with a small gesture. The throne room looked fairly different, decorated as it was with large swatches of cloth hanging over the ceiling, giving the room a billowing look.

The throne room had been replaced, instead with two chairs for them to enjoy together. She had even lined up a wonderful dance and play to be given; it was rare for Shula to go all out, but she felt the need to connect with the Water Tribes. A fine meal was also laid out for them for later, and Shula had even hired Water Tribe chefs to prepare meals that Renayu would enjoy.

As the doors flew open, i saw a very excited woman before me. By the way she was so elaboratly dressed, she must have been the Fire Lord. She gestured to me to walk into the room which looked billowing. It was decorated from floor to ceiling. This was one of the most decorated rooms i have ever seen before.

"Fire Lord Shula. My pleasure to accompany you today. You look well." i said as I entered the room, not really wanting to proceed untill she did. I just couldnt get over the fact of how well the room looked. When i get back to the Tribe, i have to get one of these bulit, i thought to myself.

Shula Njoo

"As do you; I have heard of your famed beauty, but I hadn't expected such features. You do look faintly of Avatar Zulera," she mused, passing her a compliment that was not far off from the truth. Renayu was as pretty as she was powerful, and Shula knew the pains and aches of ruling a country at such a young age. Especially as a female when many looked to take your position.

She watched as the other woman examined the room, and a wide smile revealed white, even teeth. She ushered her towards the chairs on the great platform, adjusting her kimono's skirt so as not to step on it as she ascended the steps, her red satin ballet flats causing her steps to be silent; she moved gracefully and delicately, as one might expect a dancer to. Such was how she'd been trained; her feet were tiny, especially in comparison to her height; one could only guess that her feet had been wrapped as a child. Her gold eyes shone with mirth, her pink lips faintly upturned, a small dimple appearing.

"The Palace usually doesn't look so 'splendiferous'; this is all in anticipation of your arrival," she said with a smile, as she realized that it looked extremely lavish in here. The word she used, splendiferous, was something she'd come up with on the spot and her cheeks went faintly pink; one wouldn't notice, although the slight change did offset her eyes even further. She indicated that Renayu take a seat in one of the two chairs, stepping around the small round table carefully to take her own place.
[OoC: I hope you don't mind, I'm just going to assume that Renayu sat. If not, I'll gladly change the post.]

Tapestries of red, silver, gold, and faint blues hung in the area while the large golden pillars with red dragons twirling around them had been covered with white silk, giving the room a rather bright and lovely appearance. While customarily, the throne room was lit with a blazing fire that the Fire Lord would keep steady as they sat in the throne, there were many lanterns hung about with small fireflies inside, flying about.

Shula always preferred to use fireflies, rather than fire itself. Besides, it did give the room a mystical look; she looked appreciatively at the new design, before turning back to the young Chieftess. "I trust your travels were well?" she asked as she moved one draping sleeve of her kimono to pick up the tea pot and poured some for each of them. She hadn't thought to ask the other woman if she even wanted tea--those of the Fire Nation were very appreciative of a cup of tea, and asking before pouring would've been down-right strange to someone in such a society.

The tea itself was only the finest to be found in the four nations; the brew smelled wonderful, and Shula added a small bit of honey to it before sipping it. She set the cup back down with a content smile, then looked at Renayu with interest.

I looked at the Fire lady as she spoke."Those are such kind words. thank you very much, but I hadnt expected to see such Beauty from you. I mean everyone does talk about your great looks, but I never expected them to be so..whats the word I am looking for...right, charming." She said in and awkward loss of thought way.Yes, many have talked about her features but i never imagined seeing such beauty."As it turns out, Southern water tribe families seem to be related to each other. The Avatar is my first cousin on my mother's side of the family. Though our numbers grow by the year, it is still a pretty small world in the Southern Tribe." I said as we walked up to where we were to sit. I sat down and removed my wolfs head as a sign of respect to the Fire Lady, at least that is what i think I should call her.

"Yes, they went perfectly. I hadnt imagined the vastness of each nation. I am headed for the Earth Kingdom next to vist the Foggy Swamp people, which to be honest I am not really looking forward to. But they are also a part of my people. Thank you for the tea."Not many people knew this, but when I would travel up to the Fire Nation I would often stop at the tea shops often. I loved Fire Nation food and drinks. I guess I just loved things from the opposite cultures."ou have to tell me, how can you handle running such a big Nation at an age as yours?"
